***AFC Championship - Kansas City Chiefs 13-6 at Baltimore Ravens 14-4*** (-4, 44.5) 3:00 (3 Viewers)

Feel like that was a very iffy hold on the 1st play and was a very clear an obvious one on the 2nd play.
Similar with the PF
Certainly true the 2nd ones were clear, but I thought the personal foul on Van Noy was the right call for sure. You can't come from the side and hit a guy in the head, even if he shoved your teammate. That was just dumb football by a player who has been around long enough to know a lot better.

Its 17-7 and feels like KC is winning in every facet of the game. Ravens are in BIG TROUBLE if KC gets a score coming out of halftime.

Mahomes is picking a hell of a time to play his best football of the season, and I've been saying since before the playoffs, KC has felt like a sleeping giant, like they were almost bored by the regular season, and have predictably turned it on. Credit to them, a lot of times teams do that, and can't turn it back on. Maybe its because its happening in the moment, but this has been one of the best 6 year runs in NFL history.
Just tell me anything was this spot on in the studio on TV

Those talking about the first possession of the 2nd half are spot on. Baltimore needs a stop there or they are in big trouble.

15 catches for Kelce/Rice. It’s baffling how the only 2 pass catchers who matter aren’t being covered.
Mahomes has had all day. That's why.

Baltimore has had almost zero pressure. That equals death vs Mahomes
Baltimore 60 sacks coming into today and yet...
maybe Miami should just focus on QB and making sure they have the right guy
Because when you do, a lot of other positions become moot

Funny thing is, its not like the Ravens are blanketing the other guys. Mahomes had a 50+ yard TD to Richie James on that 20 yarder to Kelce. He obviously trusted Kelce more, but so far its been a masterclass out of Reid and co.

The Baltimore Ravens D is getting worked out there... they like to rush 4 and disguise where it's coming form, but KC's O has more than handled them whenever they rush 4. Kelce, Rice and Pacheco have had such an impact ultimately it's not goign to matter what Lamar does if the D can't force any stops. It's been a looooooong time since I've seen KC move the ball this easily, it's like vintage KC out there against one of the best Defenses in the NFL.

MVP my butt

It's hard to imagine he's going to win it. Even last week 50 yards passing at the half...this week 60 yards

So you are giving it to him for being a good rb and if that's the case give it to cmc
Me personally....I don't even give a **** about the NFL MVP.

It's become quite the bore.

Football more than any other sport is a team game. For me it's not even a valid award in this sport.

But that's just me.

BAL just hasn't had the ball. They haven't had anytime to get into a groove. That being said, they're only in this because of three great plays by Lamar; the 21 yard run on 4th and 1, the scramble, shrug and throw to Flowers for the TD and the throw to himself that was dropping into the hands of the KC defender.

Fair enough and LJ is the perfect example of being on the right team...

Good start to the 2nd Half for the Ravens Defense
Truly need a drive by the Offense, even if they settle for a FG, anything to keep the defense off the field this Half

There is the thought that Baltimore should have tried to run the Chiefs out of Cover 2 in the 1st half. You don't do that now...

He was 4.55 at his pro day.

Still enough to scare teams away. Guys in the secondary shouldn't be running 4.7s at the combine. That's bad.

But the point is taken -- everybody missed out on a great player.
Also, safeties haven't been valued high in the NFL draft. Holland and Branch who are very good young safeties were early 2nd rounders, although they aren't in Hamilton's class as an athlete. Hamilton's GPS speed was good. Sean Taylor was drafted 5th, he was another difference maker at safety.

There were great DBs drafted before Hamilton, Sauce and Stingley, no missing out with those players. But other teams not drafting BPA missed out.

This was exactly what I was saying about why the Ravens didn't need to try to establish the run. You end up with 3rd and long and a forced pass that should have been picked off.

KC's DBs tackle so well.

ETA: Trent McDuffie gets overlooked slightly as he was drafted after Stingley/Sauce, but he's right there with them, but has a different, more in the box, role. I think its Sauce>McDuffie>>Stingley

I'm guessing Bolton is on Flowers because they're playing zone and then when the play breaks down, they grab a man to cover.

It's impressive D (watching at normal speed) because on that play LJ had 8 seconds to throw that ball...that usually doesn't end well

Get first downs.

Then you'll have the ball and time.
