Alcohol beverage advice for grad party (1 Viewer)

Footballguy
I am not much of a drinker and when I do drink it's usually a mixed drink. Never beer.
We are throwing a grad party in two weeks and I am looking for some advice.

The wife has requested High Noon and Truly's. Those are purchased along with Miller Lite and Coors Light.

I feel I need more. Perhaps a summer ale? Corona? Summer Shandy? Oberon?
What's a good, third summer option?

Appreciate it.

I've had success with some of the specialty variety packs. A 12 pack with 3-4 types of different beers. I'd also get some red and white wines for the ladies.

It'll vary greatly, but cider feels like a possible good option, or some sort of Lienenkugel or whatever if you're going summer-y.

Corona, or another Mexican lager, was also a good instinct in your OP.

Those Sunny D Vodka drinks are legit but they're more in line with the Truly's you already have. I'd go with a couple different kinds of beer in case some people don't like one. Get yourself some sort of Mexican Lager and then a Shandy and you'll be set.

2 hearted
Oberon
Summer shandy

With what else you got that should cover everything

If you want something Mexican check Dos Equis. If you have the Kroger app there is a cash back offers section, I always see that one (might be listed under Heineken I think is the parent company). Or you can maybe just check the Heineken website for rebate offer

Chances are that it’s going to be hot out and a lot of casual drinkers. I would get corona and/or a session IPA- it’s lower alcohol.

Miller Lite and Coors Light are kind of redundant, unless you know you have some people who won't drink one but will the other.

You're in MI? Replace the Lite with Bell's Two Hearted and it won't really matter what else you grab. You'll be set imo.

This is the way. If I knew these were my only options I'd brown bag my own beer in. You need to replace one of the light beers with 2 Hearted or Founders. Real men need something to sip on too.

I agree, but they had a pretty good rebate and I decided to mix it up instead of getting all the same.
That's mixing it up?

This is great advice, maybe a Bell's variety pack if you are worried about having too many Two Hearted leftovers.

Let's start with a blonde ale that has honey and perhaps orange peel in it like the Bee's Squeeze from Copperpoint in FL
Have you ever had Banana Bread by Eagle Brewing?
Lost Coast - Watermelon
Lost Coast - Tangerine
Any golden "Helles Lager" likely be the most popular beer at a summer party...5% or thereabouts and kicks the living crap out of those light beers you mention
In fact I might just go Narragansett, very easy to guzzle at about 5.2%...Miller Lite I think is 4.7 so you're not really saving a lot of calories reaching for light beer
And since you never drink them, have something with a little taste

Untitled Art - Florida Seltzers
Chido - Lots of flavors but the Miami Vice has been very popular
High Noon is gawd awful but we sell multiple cases of it every week, we stack it in the drive thru and it moves.
I'm not gonna question why folks buy it but I despise the taste of 'em

I love the Tangerine and have never seen the Watermelon. I would be interested in trying it. I live about an hour north of Santa Barbara and the only place I can get the Tangerine is at a local grocery store that is 30 minutes away from my house in the neighboring town. That is the only location I have found it in my area but I have never seen or heard of the Watermelon version. Sounds interesting.

I'm guessing I may have a hard time finding these over here.

My wife said High Noon's are all any of the women drink in the neighborhood.
I even had a lady at Costco yell across the parking lot about how great they are as I was loading my car. Sorry, no pics.

I would be a terribly disappointed guest if I arrived at a party and this was the extent of the choices
This is great advice. Appreciate it.

Send moops to the party store when he turns up

“Hey buddy why don’t you go get yourself something? About a quarter mile down at the top of the hill.

Oh…just an FYI they’re sticklers about the no shirt no shoes no service thing.”

It's free beer which happens to be my favorite beer in the World... Miller Lite, Coors Light and Oberon.. If anyone bitches about the lack of variety, send em packing..

No doubt, free beer is awesome but I'd rather buy my own and bring it than drink what he's offering. Just say "this is what we have, feel free to bring whatever you like".

I'm assuming you'll have an assortment of liquor available for mixed drinks in addition to the beers? If not, then cosign with Moops.
