Fingers still funky. Trying to get a proper diagnosis.Whatever happened to hot hands? Did you get a proper medical diagnosis?
Phone still a burner. Currently 103 degrees in my hand.

Odd, I have a Pixel and it almost never gets warm unless I'm playing music and running the Nav (with the screen on) full-time. Otherwise it's a cucumber. Is there an app you're running the background causing it to heat up?Fingers still funky. Trying to get a proper diagnosis.

We've been down this road. he's on his 3rd phone and still has this "issue" yet no one else has.......Odd, I have a Pixel and it almost never gets warm unless I'm playing music and running the Nav (with the screen on) full-time. You're not going to beat it for the price right now.Any opinions on the Moto G5?
The G5 Plus is coing out in a week or so and Best Buy has the 32GB pre-orders for $229
Thinking about buying one to replace my Nexus 5
I'm thinking really hard about it. Looks like preorders get free Gear VR. It's tempting, but I kind of want to see some reviews before I pull the trigger. My note4 is on it's last leg.Galaxy S8 preorders start at midnight. Who is getting one?
I am. Love my S7 Edge, can't wait for new onesGalaxy S8 preorders start at midnight. Who is getting one?
Exactly, the VR stuff is nice but I'll let the early users risk the explosions.I'm thinking really hard about it. Looks like preorders get free Gear VR. It's tempting, but I kind of want to see some reviews before I pull the trigger. My note4 is on it's last leg.
Cliff notes on what is amazing about it?Not big on getting the latest and greatest phones (My S6 still works fine, although battery life is wanting). However, the new S8 is stunning.
I guess for me, the quality and size of the screen vs the size of the phone is the most impressive thing. I also like that it has a similar thickness to the S7, but they got rid of the camera bump and kept all of the key features like expandable storage, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a fingerprint sensor (now in the back). Face Scanning looks nice too, although I guess this has already been implemented in other Android devices. I'm a bit concerned about what this all will mean for battery life - we should know pretty soon when official reviews come out.Cliff notes on what is amazing about it?
http://www.phonearena.com/phones/sizeOrdered an S8+ last night (AT&T), supposed to come with VR and remote. I'm counting on it being real close to the same size in hand as my S7 Edge.
Thanks. Sounds like nice stuff but nothing I can't do without.I guess for me, the quality and size of the screen vs the size of the phone is the most impressive thing. Agreed. I don't think I'll be upgrading either unless I "accidentally" break my phoneThanks. Sounds like nice stuff but nothing I can't do without.

Just a hunch, but try a different cable.I have a Moto Z Play. My charger that came with it "turbocharges" from very low to %100 in less than 2 hours. However, in certain outlets in my house it will only "slow charge". Anyone have any idea why this is?![]()
Eta: in other outlets it doesn't charge at all.![]()
Preordered yesterday, cancelled today. I was having second thoughts about it, partially about the fingerprint scanner location, partially about what the next gen google and Iphones will look like in the fall. Then the news today that Verizon is going down the road of spyware on all their android phones was enough for me to "nope" out and wait to see what the fall brings, but I highly doubt I'll continue with android on Verizon. To be fair the spyware app requires you to opt-in, for now. I just don't like direction they're going. The new Sammy GS8 looks sweet. It might make me switch back from the iPhone. I used to hate Sammy's TW framework because another layer on top of Android I never liked, but it seems they have integrated it better now. If I can root it easy without breaking a bootloader, I am in.
Wow, I didn't know that. I loathe Verizon as a carrier, and I will not do Android if I can't root it. What I like about Apple is that they have total control of the boot stack, but even that can change. I trust Google with Android. I don't trust OEM's or other carriers with it.Preordered yesterday, cancelled today. Meh, when it's finally accepted Google Assistant in allowing it to do things I just assume everything's being tracked at this pointPreordered yesterday, cancelled today. Where is it on the 6p? It's not that it's on the back of the 8, it's the location. Up high, right next to the lens. I'm a lefty so it makes it even worse.Charlie Harper said:Yep. Love it on the 6p.

I did the nougat update on my nexus 6... No huge improvement in any functions. Evolutionary update for sure. The only con is that about 3 times in the past few weeks, a pocket casts podcast will start playing at random times. It has happened with phone sitting on the counter untouched, so it's not a gestures problem. Very strange but I will be super angry if it happens in a work meeting. Finally got the Nougat update for my moto g4. So far so good.
the only hiccup for me thusfar is sending pics via text. it wasn't working with the Hello app but was working with the stock messaging one. minor annoyance.I did the nougat update on my nexus 6... I recently dusted off my Nexus 4 and flashed a Nougat ROM on it... I am shocked how well it holds up for what it is at this point. (the battery is very bad though)Fired up the old Nexus 6 tonight after doing a factory reset to see how it still holds up. Not quite as snappy as the Oneplus 3 but decent. Then I remembered what really disappointed me besides not incorporating a fingerprint sensor. The screen burn in. Where the on-screen buttons reside the screen is whiter than the rest of it. Hopefully future amoled screens do a better job of preventing the burn in.
This is my daily driver and it's the worst phone ever made on a day to day basis trying to run current versions of android. Takes me 60 seconds to take a picture.Fired up the old Nexus 6 tonight after doing a factory reset to see how it still holds up. Not quite as snappy as the Oneplus 3 but decent. Agreed, there is definitely a bug with the camera app. Replaced the stock app with Open Camera. Zero issues since on the N6.This is my daily driver and it's the worst phone ever made on a day to day basis trying to run current versions of android. Takes me 60 seconds to take a picture.
Counting down the days to the S8 release.

Man I hate the apple ecosystem and want no part of it but Android is wearing on me. The three worst gadgets I've ever owned are all Android based devices. This OS is just so bloated and unreliable compared to what it was a few years ago.
