Just as a quick heads-up, one of the speculated reasons for the price drop is that a new Nexus 6 and Nexus 5 are due for release late this month. I'm very excited for a new N5, myself.

That is exactly the reason for the price drop. Both Amazon and Best Buy are trying to clear their inventory. However, I went ahead and bought the Motorola Nexus 6 for a couple of reasons.
I currently have an LG Nexus 5 which has been okay. My gripes with it are battery life and the radio. The battery for me is terrible. Marshmallow may fix the battery drain. The LG radio is terrible. I am constantly dropping from LTE to 3G in areas that are blanketed with LTE coverage.
The new Nexus 5s coming out are built by LG and Huawei. I don't think I will buy another LG after the poor radio in my Nexus 5 and I do not trust
Huawei at all.
As for the Motorola Nexus 6, I received it yesterday thanks to the Amazon Prime Sunday delivery. I went ahead and unlocked the bootloader before I set it up with my accounts. The Lollipop Tap & Go migration was nice. It imported my accounts and apps from my Nexus 5, but none of the data. I then rooted the Nexus 6 to restore all of the data from my Nexus 5 by means of a Titanium Backup restore.
So far really enjoying the Nexus 6. No work today so will see tomorrow if the Motorola radio performs better than the LG radio during my commute.
