American Horror Story: Hotel (Season 5) (1 Viewer)

I was wondering about the Frankenstein boyfriend...do you think it is easy or difficult to act in a role like that? I mean we all know it is not going to win him a Golden Globe or anything but it must suck if you have been a leading character with a speaking role on the show the first two seasons and now your role consists of grunting and lunging yourself at people.

Liking this season so far. Lots of creepy stuff.

Loved season 2 so much....may still be my favorite

I would go 3 > 1 > 2, but I can see a case for season 1 being the best.

kinda bummed to see hot redhead maid from season 1 get so little screen time and then catch a bullet to the temple so quick.

I will reserve judgement until this season is over with, but I think S1 is by far the best. I actually liked S2 better than this so far. Maybe I just can't get all that into witchcraft.

The opening Axeman sequence was so well done, the way it was filmed and the bad ### murder, loved it. One of the show's finer movements which is impressive considering that it involved characters that we had never seem before.

Writing, acting, production values still way up. Not as artistic as last year but not as awkward in the pacing as either of the first 2 seasons. Kind of a more mainstream break this season, is my sense.

Still, enjoying the heck out of this show...

The creepiness of season two puts it over this season, although this one is coming along much more organized. Maybe that's what I liked more about last season. Didn't know what to expect next. Really good show all around but I put it 1-2-3 so far.

Yeah, the scariest part of this season is the opening credits (which have been awesome in each season IMO). That said, the twists and turns have sustained interest. For instance I was pretty surprised Precious turned in Misery, and the show even had me feeling for Misery for a moment.

I like this season better. I liked the beginning and the last few episodes of season 2, but it got too weird for me in the middle of the season. After the mid season stuff faded out, I liked the episodes to the end.

really enjoying this season so far with one exception. The mom and son next door story line has me shuked a bit. Not sure what the end game with that is going to be

Anyway, I just went on to IMDB to make sure my DVR didnt miss an episode. It said that Cordelias attacker was revealed. I must have missed that part. Who was it?

ugghh.. this season started off so well, but the last month, since the Halloween zombie attack, has felt more like filler episodes..

Lot's of :hophead: and not much else.. I know they building for the all out battle, but it is, IMO, really dragging..

I miss the first season writing and "fun" :kicksrock:

these past few eps have been fun

Kathy Bates head in a box

Scooping the eyeballs

Yep...some shadow organization of Witch Hunters...ultimately run by the father of Cordelia's husband, right?

right

Season one was by far the very best.

Season 2 was creepy, wierd, and unpredictable. We enjoyed it.

This season started so strong and IMO has come to a grinding halt since the zombie attacks....the show has really become non essential for my wife and I. We do not watch a lot of television shows so when one of our favorites starts to fledge it is a letdown.

Hope it picks up next year and finishes strong.

This is the only show my wife and I watch on a regular basis together

I'm holding out hope they come back strong

still enjoy the show, but the latter half of this season has been a mess. It keeps getting sillier and sillier...

the continual retcons of alive v dead and allegiances turning on a dime.....the corporation plot was dumb, although I still like Truxton Spangler as a "baddie"

a lot of wasted potential here...

We never went back......the show has great acting...no doubt. But the plot lines this year are for the birds.

I really hope they go back to their creepy gothic roots. Season one was brilliant, season two was good as well. Season three a jumbled pile of crap.

Yeah last nights episode was a pathetic mess. Also I just realized who the Satan guy was. You can kind of see his face behind the paint. Hint: He was in the Wire.

Yeah - I punched out when Stevie Nicks showed up. My wife was watching it last night while I was in the room. One of the bloodiest shows I have ever seen.

It is just silly and too wheels off to be taken seriosuly by me at this point which is disappointing because conceptually it could have been pretty good.

Glad to hear that I don't have to catch up. Really disappointing as I just lost interest like I did last season. I had missed a couple and then saw a preview of the witches and the voo-doo princess working together and never went back and watched.

Man, I really liked season 1 and it sucks that I just couldn't make it through the last two seasons.

Such an odd show. I agree that this season is far below the standards set by previous seasons, but I thought Season 2 was better than Season 1.Hope they get back on track next season.

I still like it.

I do have a problem with people disappearing and no one really questioning it much at all...

But I'm rolling with the punches...

I'm hoping with everything in me that they find another spot next season for Kathy Bates but please for the love of god...get that Precious mess off my big screen. That chick is violently ugly.

I do think this is by far the best season.
I'm entertained by this season, but there's nothing at all scary about it. Season one was at least a "horror story." Season 3 is more of a drama with witches and gore.

This season has definitely dropped off.. I've been watching just to get to the "pay off".. Last weeks episode, and the one with Stevie Nicks are the only ones in the month and a half that kept my interest.

I'd agree Season 1 was "horror story"... Season 2 was more "Shock Story" and Season 3 was "Witches & voodoo story"..

IMO, season 3 dropped off so much from the first couple shows that 2 and 3 are tied as "below average" in my book now. :kicksrock:

And this season actually had potential IMO. It started off very well but everything after the break has been downhill

I missed the last 6 minutes of the show. My DirecTV genie DVR recorded the entire episode, but the pop up asking if I want to keep or delete the recording comes up with at 1:05 minutes in and I can't watch the last 6 minutes. This happened with the season premiere, as well.

Are the final 6 minutes worth tracking down?

If you went this far then yes, find the last 6 minutes.

Really disappointing finale. This season was a mess.
There was really no way they could recover after the tailspin these last 6'ish shows sent them in. It really is disappointing (IMO anyway) because before the break it seemed like it was going to be a really good show.
