I've been keeping track of this too and here are the top 21 teams (I'm whateverdude so it seemed like a good cutoff spot :-) ) and all the numbers posted by SayWhat match mine (even QuizGuy @ 349.27). The top 20 or so range also seems like a good cutoff spot because I ran some "what if" scenarios and I'll need a week where I get 80% correct to move into the number 1 spot from where I am now. So I figure most team at around 20 or lower need a big week to move up.

These are completely unofficial of course, but no changes to the top 21 this week - except that I got a fractionally higher percentage for my third qualifying score. My total score increased by .06 :lol: But I'm now over 400!

Big jump by swagmeowt this week - his 81% pushed him all the way into 2nd place!

It's interesting to look at their individual scores and the history which shows the week each score was registered. BigMel hasn't had a qualifying score since week 7 but he's held on to that top spot this whole time due to the 79 in week 3 and the 71 in week six. Those two monster scores are carrying him. OTOH, swagmeowt registered an 81 in week 15 followed by a 66 and 65 in week 14 - he's coming on strong.

If BigMel doesn't improve on his third score of 61.02, the swagmeowt needs a 66.6 ( :devil: ) to pull ahead by .01:

442.39 = (81.03 * 3) + ( 66.6 * 2) + 66.1

I'm really disappointed to find out this contest isn't being offered this year.  It sure would be nice if FBG published a list of content/contests/etc. that are included in the subscription each year BEFORE people sign up.  While this is disappointing it's not a deal breaker for me.  However, some of the contests and content would be a deal breaker if they weren't offered and as I said it would be nice to know months before the season starts if one of my favorite items was being pulled - so I had time to find a replacement or whatever.   And the crazy thing is all this could be avoided with better communication with customers, and a little bit of planning/foresight.  If I knew this content wasn't being offered when i signed up, I would have thought "that sucks" and signed up anyway.  But now it makes it look like FBGs are flying by the seat of their pants.  And I'm not looking forward to the day my favorite content/contests are pulled out from under me just when I need them most.  Communication with customers shouldn't be this difficult.

Lame.  This is my main reason for subscribing.  It's also one of the reasons I convinced my friends to subscribe.  FBG should reconsider.

 
I inquired with Mr. Bryant, about the WDIS contest.  He said they decided to drop it based on lack of interest.

Lol.  There is zero mention of this contest in any FBG mailings and no prominent links on the site - seems like that drove down the participation more than anything.  

I also thing Doug did a great job in running this contest... nothing against him. I'm sure there is a lot of overhead involved with running this contest and with minimal participation in can see why they wouldn't think it wasnt worth bringing back.  However, it's not that people don't like the contest IMO, it's that they just don't know about it.  For the last several years it seems we've had to ask if the contest was even going to be run again right here in this thread.

Again, this isn't a deal breaker for me but it's another curious decision/explanation about something I thought i was buying with subscription.  Which makes me nervous (if that's the right word) about future decisions/communications/etc.

I mean, "lack of interest" probably is the answer.  The regular subscriber contest got almost 15,000 entries this year, and this one had what, like 200-ish participants?  Not saying it's right or wrong but it is what it is.  

What was the format of this one, exactly?  I remember trying it when they first rolled it out and it seemed like way too much work to keep up with.  Too many picks to make every single week or something, did they ever tweak and make it more accessible?

As noted in my above comment, I knew about the contest and didn't play because I didn't like it.  That being said, maybe they changed the format and could've communicated it better?  I have no idea.  If they did, then yeah maybe they're underestimating demand because they didn't publicize it.  But if it's basically the same contest that it was when it first launched a few years ago, I just didn't really think it was fun at all (and most of you probably know how obsessed I am with the other subscriber contest :)  ). 

 
Hey iggy, they didn't change the format and you do have to be engaged each day to really make it work.  I can see how that is too much time investment for some  - no doubt.  Maybe even too much overhead from FBG POV to run the contest - I get it.  

But my complaint is bigger than just this contest.  It's the last minute nature of the notification and therfore not getting one of the thing I thought I was paying for when I subscribed.   This coupled with the my FBG new version debacle and I'm concerned about shelling out ~80 bucks next year (I play DFS too) with the promise of "getting everything you always get" or whatever vague stuff they said in the email earlier this week.  What if next year a key piece of DFS info/article/tool/whatever is not available and I don't find out until 3 days before the season starts?  And I'm certainly not going to lock in for 3 years given that I don't even know what I purchased THIS year.  It doesn't seem that hard to me to have a simple list of the stuff offered with the subscription at the time of signup.

Actually, it seems pretty clear that no notification was planned being we're upon Week 1 and it took an inquiry in this thread for FBG's to provide that "notification."

As obsessed with the 35k contest As You Are, some of us were as equally obsessed with this contest (Okay maybe not AS obsessed).

I do understand the staff reassessing resources / feature. It's just too bad for myself, and others like me, who view this is the sites number one feature / reason to subscribe.  Don't get me wrong, I use other content. But this is number one on the list of reasons to join.

I'm guessing there are multiple features on the website that get less than a few hundred hits, weekly (probably 1/3 of the "week x" content).  Would've been nice the chop those, first.

Tuesday Mornings won't be nearly as exciting without rushing to look at the standings.
