Before this and the other whiny WHY ARE THE JETS SO LOUD AND BOASTY threads I really wanted this team to lose. Now I want it to win more than ever.They've been in the playoffs both years Ryan coached. Be nice if my team did that ONCE. I would say the Packers might. That's about it. BB has the team focused, as always. They may not always be the best at quotes but they stay on point and on task. I gotta call BS on this one. Brady jaws all the time. Farve pumped his fists and jumped on his WRs like a kid in the playground. Brady often shows an altogether different "celebration" that runs completely counter to the Mr. Cool rep that the league wants to blindly keep on him. The Anthony Smith incident you referred to involved Brady essentially running a good 20yrds up to Smith's face and getting into it after a TD (taunting?? - nooo). Look back to the Steelers game this year alone and watch him throw the ball at the Steeler fans and scream at them. (then again, maybe he just has something against the Steelers). The guy is a great QB but he is emotional. Heck, he even said it so himself during an interview this week. Montana, Unitas, Manning ... Don't compare Brady to QB's 20 to 50 years before him, of course they didn't act like that, NOBODY did. I guess at this point it's semantics. You say he "jaws" all the time. To me that implies getting in someone's face. I can only recall the Anthony Smith incident and nothing else. Not saying it hasn't happened here and there but as someone who has watched all his games that is what stands out. He is an emotional player and I have no problem with that.Again, if he was pointing at the Jets in the last game - so much so that according to Rex it should have been penalized - I'd have to think ESPN would have those clips on a continuous loops. This, really is QFTMFT. Don't like a team taking pictutes post game at the 50? win the game. Don't like someone celebrating in your end zone? Stop them. Don't like someone pointing at your sideline? I really don't get it... I don't see jets fans "poppin" off at all. Here or anywhere....To a man, I'd say 98% of jets fans cringe if there is a microphone or a ball thrown Cromarties' way....It's as if people set up in their minds what they think certain fans are like... You're insane. Every Jets fan I know has become intolerable since last year. I went from not having any feelings about the Jets or the fans at all to absolutely hating them in two years.
Hmmm, every Jets fan I know is also 37 yo+..... I probably can't speak for some young cocky kid who has been a fan during the past decade and has never lived the full depths of Jet fandom and I certainly can't speak for the Jersey Shore / Staten Island types

I'm good friends with two die hard Jets fans, one my age (early 30s) the other I think around the same age, and they haven't changed much in their attitude. They both basically have the attitude of they are playing with house money, and Rex can do or say what he wants because he's brought them the best two back-to-back years in franchise history regardless. Neither of them really like his antics, but they tolerate it due to the success. You shouldn't blame a team for its fans. Many NO fans turned the lame up to 11 once their team beat the Vikings. But they calmed back down this year. It's understandable when a perennial loser becomes the best in the league, but still you can't blame the team for its fans.
