Any news on J. Stewart's ankle, other than sprain? (1 Viewer)

I own J. Stew as my RB #3 in my most important league and watched the play where he hurt his ankle. It didn't look horrific, but it didn't look good either. Just wondering if anyone has heard any news regarding the severity of the sprain. Trying to gauge how long he might be out. Thanks for any help.

Nothing new has really come out, other than Rivera calling him "day to day". Doesn't sound serious, but he is definitely ruled out for Thursday (although I think that would be the case even if he was perfectly fine).

O.K. well "day to day" is better than "week to week". I really don't need him until week 2. Thanks for the info.

'unlikely' is the key word here. It means there is some chance he will miss significant time, which I'm worried about. Crossing my fingers.

Not high ankle. Which means he's very unlikely to miss significant time.
Hi ankle was my worry, and I had not heard it was not high ankle. Very good news. If it is not high ankle then that is approx. 3 weeks before I would need him. That is a reasonable amount of time. I feel a little better now. Thanks.

I am giving myself some credit here of finding this thread, since it was in page four of the search results. Let's breakdown Stewart's injury: did he just sit out last game because it was a short week or did he aggravate something. This injury has been lingering since preseason; is it time to cut bait?

Id definetly trade him to some stewart lover in your league, everyone has 1

It's more of a toe injury than ankle injury. Rivera said it's not turf toe, but it's sore where the toe's connected to the ankle. Rivera said he would have had a much better chance of playing had the game been on Sunday instead of Thursday.

Dr. Bremel has voiced some concern about the location of this injury and the different diagnoses that it lends itself to.
