Are the Chargers in trouble against Denver next week? (1 Viewer)

After going for it on 4th while running up the score against Detroit, up 30 in the 4th quarter, does anyone else think Denver might try to take out San Diego's QB next week? I'd hate to see somebody go after Billy Volek's knee because of Turner coaching with a chip on his shoulder. Should I bench Volek just to be safe?

Seems to be a Shark Pool Question and an Assistant Coaches Forum Question here. The real question is, Billy Volek? This is your only option at QB?

i think the original poster may have been taking the michael?? as in insert brady here??

As many bad performances as there were this week, I am sure a lot of teams snuck into the SB with some pretty poor lineups for the week.

It could hurt them next week, but I would not bet on it.

Are you fishing for reactions or what? Your post makes no sense at all, what does Denver have to do with Detroit.

Looks like the Broncos could get blown out.

Not saying that it will - it could prove to be a good solid game.

But if its going to get out of control, seems as if the Charger defense actually has a pulse.

:excited: :lmao: :lmao:

So, a Bronco defender is going to want to take out SD's QB, because the Chargers supposedly ran the score up on the Lions? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

As opposed to kicking a field goal? Or would you have had them punt from the Lions' 32 yard line?It seems to me that kicking a field goal would have been "running up the score" more than running the ball was. By running the ball, they were trying to run out the clock. Also, why would Volek play next week instead of Rivers? I don't see any info about Rivers having re-injured his knee.

ah, the lost art of sarcasm has died a death on this board........
Thank God, I thought for a second that I was the only person who actually got it.Try replacing "San Diego" with "New England", "Billy Volek" with "Tom Brady", and "Norv Turner" with "Bill Belichick" and then re-reading the first post. That is some seriously high-quality satire.
