Are you a Costco member? What do you buy for your household? (2 Viewers)

Don't know if this has been mentioned but their pharmacy prices are incredible.  I just switched my meds to them from Walgreens.

One example...Atorvastatin (generic for Lipitor) $123/mo. at Walgreens...$7/mo. at Costco.   Not a misprint!  Same dosage, everything.

Really upset I have been so ripped off by Walgreens until now.  The kicker is you don't have to be a member.  Just tell them at the door

that you are there to pick up meds.  And if you don't have a Costco near you, you can sign on on their website and they will mail your meds

to you free of charge.

Haven't read through the 32 pages but has anyone ever ordered a large item from Costco that was delivered?  Apparently Costco uses a company called Ceva delivery services.  I'm reading horrific reviews for that company.  Any experiences?

Interesting.  I just ordered a treadmill.  Was "shipped" on 12/1.  The link to the tracking number takes me to Ceva's website, which says they have no info on it.  I emailed Ceva this morning, but I'm calling Costco right now.

I tried calling Ceva twice but forget about getting in touch with anyone.  Go ahead and read the Yelp reviews on them.  You may want to just cancel the order now.

I'm going to force Costco to resolve it if I have issues.  I see all the bad reviews you're talking about, but am wondering if that is region-dependent.

Well I actually just got off the phone with the local Philly customer support rep and she seemed very reasonable.  We'll see how the actual delivery experience goes.

We ordered a Christmas tree via the website last month.  I don't recall how it was shipped but "Ceva" doesn't look familiar.  Anyway, it showed up quickly with no issues that I'm aware of.

Our treadmill arrived without issue.  I don't recall the Ceva name, but honestly, I'm not sure I would remember even if it was them.  We didn't have issues though.

I got a treadmill from the last year as well.  It was delivered by CEVA (in the Philly area).  It was supposed to be door threshold delivery, but I popped the guy a $20 and they took it into my basement for me saving much back aggravation.  They were on time, friendly, no issues.

I decided to explore how ridiculous I could get with the Costco return policy.  I bought a double pack of mustard and salsa, a triple pack of ketchup.  I took one bottle/jar of each out and took the rest back.

Costco person: "Is there anything wrong with these?"

Me :  Nope.

Costco person: refund or store credit?

Costco person proceeds to give me my store credit card and I go on my way.  So basically you can have free ketchup, mustard, salsa or anything else that is sold in those twin packs for free, forever.  Some say I'm a hero, but I don't see it that way.
Just an update

I returned a little less than half used container of dishwasher packets and one of the double packs of broccoli and cheese soup (with one taken out).  Still going strong.  I'm sure I'm going to be known at the customer service desk as "that guy" but IDGAF.  I'm making money!

Return lines at my Costco make it almost not worth the time

Hi.  Yeah.  We just ordered doors for our 3-car garage from them a week ago.  Pretty smooth process.  Guy came out, did a quick inspection, and laid out our options.  I was actually really shocked at how much the insulation levels impacted the price.  Going from r-values of 6.X to 9.X added like 25% to the price.  We went with the 6.X because our current doors are probably barely 2.X, and aren't sealed well.

The company was also flexible in either using our garage door openers, or installing new ones.  (We went with new ones...we needed one new one, the other one was ~3 years old.  The anal side of me wanted them to match, and the price was reasonable).  They also could easily install an upgrade kit to allow one bay's door to open higher so as to clear my tailgate on my SUV.  Pleased so far.  Install is next month.
how much?

My local garage door people all seem scammy

What?

I actually do have a ruptured left eardrum.  It's been perforated for ~20 years since I was in my mid-20s.  I've had countless in office treatments and two surgeries but apparently by eustachian tube doesn't function properly which has caused all procedures to fail.
At least you can't get pregnant

I think it was $4,000ish (Want to say $4,400, but can check at home tonight for sure)  for a 2-car and a 1 car garage door.  In that price we're getting new openers and raising the height of the one door.  Torsion springs - all new everything.  Thought it was pretty reasonable.

They get installed on Wednesday.  That's my only complaint - took forever.

Had a birthday party for my sister and bought a birthday cake at Costco.  Chocolate with chocolate mousse filling.  Seemed to weigh about 10 lbs as it was huge.  Decorated it was 18.99.   Fed 20 people and had a ton left over. Highly recommend.

I don't take any meds, but wow........ that's mind blowing.  Glad you found it!

Scheduled a delivery window with Ceva for treadmill for 9-1 today and guy showed up at 10:00. No problems.

For the first time, I am disappointed with Costco. I went to buy the fresh chicken wings that are already cut which I absolutely love and they don’t carry those year round.

Bought an electric razor a few weeks back that was $10 off ($50 original price).   Get a letter today from costco that said they negotiated a better price (now $45) and there's a $5 gift card included with the letter.   Best company ever.  Just amazing customer service.

Anyone bought a TV lately?  Looking at the site, they have three different Samsung models that are 4K UHD 55", prices of $770, $600, and $550.  I can't tell the difference.

Are the features completely identical?  If so, why not just buy the cheapest one and return it if you don't like it?

Looks to be some minor differences in the display engines for color and black levels and some other minor differences. I'd go look at them in person and if you can't a difference in the store then get the cheapest one.

We bought this one (or one close to it) back in the summer after a lot of research.  Got it for around $700 as it was a floor model and if anything goes wrong with it we can take it back.  The TV is awesome.  The remote sucks.  Very laggy and after the TV has been off for a while it take a few seconds for it to "catch up".

I just bought a pair of Samsungs from them - 50" and 43" for my parent's new townhouse.  Haven't opened or installed them, but they looked nice in the store.

Samsung 50" Class (49.5" Diag.) 4K Ultra HD LED LCD TV - $459

Samsung 43" Class (42.5" Diag.) 4K Ultra HD LED LCD TV  - $349

Do you use the TV's remote that much? I use my cable (Xfinity) remote for 99% of time.
