So I ordered preordered one on the 25th($390). I'm not a gamer, but I grew up in arcades and on the old Atari consoles.
So I figured why not? Just got an email saying preorders are delayed and it looks like delivery will be Jan 2021.
This I understand. When I put in the order there was no timeframe for delivery.
Here is the kicker. Just for fun I went back to the site and went through the motions of preordering another one.
I got all the way through checkout up to the point of payment without any mention of a delay or when you get the
console.
If Atari knows you're not getting it until Jan 2021, they should mention this. Just something you should know.
I know there are a lot of 50+ year olds here that might be curious about this.
Oh yeah, The VCS is Atari getting into the modern game console world.
