LOL at kids getting drunk and screwing constituting "rape." The world needs all the false rape accusations it can get.
No, AJ, they called it "rapey." It's a Jezebel/culture of rape thing you wouldn't understand.

Ew, that's like, rapey.
I called it rapey. And while I think the term is often misused, I don't think it's misused in the case where the guidance is for a guy to continually ensure that his date is provided alcohol until she makes "bad decisions." If you don't like the word rapey, we can use lots of other words to describe guys who use that tactic. Gross. Pervy. Creepy. Pathetic. They all work.

It's also ill-advised because it's exactly the situation that accusations of date rape, whether you find them valid or not, spring from.

I was commenting on this generally, and it wasn't really directed at your post.

Also convictions of date rape.

I think the inclination to frame it like that and to set out to "get her drunk" rather than just do whatever you all do and let the cards fall where they may, knowing that alcohol lowers inhibitions, is creepy/pervy. But acknowledging that a lot of sex happens that might not otherwise happen with the introduction of alcohol is hardly shocking or inappropriate.

And I thought the storyteller had the protagonist's age somewhere around 21 or 22. If I am wrong, and he is in his late 20s, thinking in predatory terms about a 20 year old and suggesting he "get her drunk" in order to have sex with her is indeed rapey. It is not inherently rape. Obviously, Em hasn't been the one suggesting this for his protagonist, so this has nothing to do with him or his character.

If he's 21 or 22, my view of the scenario changes slightly, but trying to get a young woman drunk so she won't say "no" is bad. Very bad.

How about if you've been together for a couple years and she's 38?

I think a lot of us have had drinks with a girl hoping she would make a bad decision. Not sure I'd call that date rape. I'm sure 90% of the women who've slept with me consider that choice a bad decision. And to be fair, that number is probably too low.

I did not mean to imply that Em should get the young lady wasted so that he could take advantage or her or even rape her. Some of you guys need to lighten up. Em should get a few drinks in her so that they let loose and have fun. They are 20 year olds. Maybe some of you were so uptight that you never had fun. Maybe you should try it once before you kick the bucket.

My church going post was meant to be very sarcastic. As another poster pointed out, there is a lot that can go on between worshipping at church with a young lady and raping her. Some of you are able to take the fun out of every thread.

Em - dont take this the wrong way, cuz you know Im your homie...

But at your weight, I assume the lack of fat/muscle around the pube area means you have an exceptionally long penis. amirite?

how's the girth, though?

I ask only because you may have a vicious weapon in your pants that most women would be more than willing to take for a spin, and you may not even know it.

A big hog can make up for many other deficiencies.

When I was a 3L in law school there was a cute blonde 22 year old 1L I met in the church. Turned on the "I'm a 3L, I have a job lined up" magic and an hour later had a date planned for that night. Made reservations at possibly the best Italian joint in St. Paul. I pick her up and on our way we pass an Olive Garden. She exclaims, "Olive Garden! I love Olive Garden. We should go there instead." I complied with her wishes and later she complied with mine.*

*Of course, this all went to #### later when it came out at the next "bar review" session that she had actually been dating another 1L guy that I didn't know about and it became public and she tried to save face so it all fell apart. That night then I met another blonde 1L in her 30s who explained to me, upon learning about OG girl, that she had better taste in things. She wasn't kidding. Ahhh, law school.
So really all Em has to do is go to law school and he's :moneybag: taking girls to Olive Garden.

That wasn't what was said though. He said 'it's too bad she's underage for drinking' as one statement and then said why: 'drunk girls have less inhibitions' as another. None of that is advice to get an underage (for drinking) girl drunk so he can force her to bang. It's just an observation.

Technically if she is drunk, he drops trou and she says "what are you doing" that is not a no, she is just asking what is he doing. To be safe he should videotape and audio record everything to prove the word NO was never used.

Em, do you have a picture of the girl? The only reason I ask is because I want to make sure you're not going after chicks out of your league.

You're a young kid. Remember that. Focus on having a good time. When you worry less about finding a girl and concentrate on living your life, women will find you. That's just the way it works.

My point is that guys and gals can enjoy a few drinks without rape occuring.

We really have to get this back on track so Em can have fun with this girl.

I did not mean to imply that Em should get the young lady wasted so that he could take advantage or her or even rape her. Some of you guys need to lighten up. Em should get a few drinks in her so that they let loose and have fun. They are 20 year olds. Maybe some of you were so uptight that you never had fun. Maybe you should try it once before you kick the bucket.

My church going post was meant to be very sarcastic. As another poster pointed out, there is a lot that can go on between worshipping at church with a young lady and raping her. Some of you are able to take the fun out of every thread.
Sounds like a heck of a Sunday.
:lmao:

I agree with Doc, but this was funny.
If I ever make an Em-like signature, Henry is going on the hommie list because of his comedic abilities.

That wasn't what was said though. He said 'it's too bad she's underage for drinking' as one statement and then said why: 'drunk girls have less inhibitions' as another. None of that is advice to get an underage (for drinking) girl drunk so he can force her to bang. It's just an observation.
Someone said in response to the statement that she's underage that he should find a way to get her drunk so she'll make some bad decisions with him.

I think this is all relevant. "Call, don't text, feel free to Olive Garden, try not to be rapey."

Good point.

Also, I left off "don't aim for the friend zone and quit joking about offing yourself idiot".

We do good work here.

Is that a Carl Sagan quote?

The call/text things totally depends on the girl. Most kids are going to prefer text, especially if this is merely a smash piece situation.

Sounds more like Carl Carlson.

 and your point is?

You want to impress her? Find the one thing that she likes the least about herself and let her know that it doesn't bother you in the least. Let me give you a "for instance":

Does she have, like, a dead tooth? You know, the kind that's kinda blue and maybe it's chipped a little? Well, the next time you see her, say to her, "You know, I bet a lot of people stare at that tooth." (At this point you should sort of point to the tooth, but not really) "I just want you to know that it doesn't bother me."

You may have to improvise if it's not a tooth. It might be a scar, a lazy eye, a missing finger....you get the idea. She'll be putty in your hands.

I believe the polite thing to do is take her to Olive Garden before raping her. Oh, and call, don't text.

You know that big lump of fat on the back of your neck. Doesn't bother me in the last. Yeah. I can see why this would get a woman to want you.

Great, so you agree with me.
