Cool contest. It's free but has prize money. I played last week when the expert was Brad Evans from Yahoo. I'm embarrassed to say how I ranked (let's just say I thought Sidney Rice and V. Jax would make for good starts). But I was glad to see that they're running it again. This time with Bloom!

I had Rice too. Finished 205th, 5.8 points behind Brad. Was in the top 20 at one point. My wr picks were not good. Bloom is going down this week! (lower than me anyhow)

Yeah, it's amazing how they still have a bunch of guys that are out or on IR in there. I can't tell whether it's fish bait or just the contest site (fanduel) being lazy. I'm hoping a lot of people pick him for their QB. :goodposting:

Players are ranked by avg. PPG, so Romo has good PPG...he's just not adding any games.

I think there's a pretty obvious player out there that will be on a whole bunch of rosters. Can you guess?

Is this the case and you just are playing for fun if you don't deposit, or if you finish really high you will have a chance at some cash..

From everything I've read, the contest is free to play and you win money if you beat Bloom or finish in the top 8. I think the winner gets $150. I can vouch for the contest being free since I played last week. I can't vouch for getting paid since my team sucked and finished way behind Brad Evans.

What happens to Ivory's value if Pierre becomes active this week? Ivory's available in one of my leagues...I'm tempted to grab him.

Carolina DEF on the road? Gutsy, but I like it. I think the Panthers will upset the Seahawks this week. Interesting that you're going to play Obomanu against your DEF though.

Yup, Seahawks' offense is that inept that I feel comfortable going with Carolina on the road.I switched up Obomanu (Mike Williams back) & Harvin (migraines) with Dez Bryant and Steve Breaston. WRs are definitely my weakness.
 
So where do we find Sigmund's picks? On the site it gives me the leader board, but I'm not sure how to see his lineup.

I'm 95th, sure to fall quite a bit after the two night games. Tried to get cute with Manningham, Jacoby Ford, and Garcon at WR. Wasn't disastrous, but wasn't great.

 
This was a cool thing to do. Iv been checking this site multiple times a day for most of the year but haven't noticed this, do they have this contest weekly?

Somehow missed this thread until now. I'm a part time employee of Fanduel, so feel free to email me (alex@fanduel.com) any questions or suggestions about the site. To answer a few of the questions from the thread:

1. These promos are something we're running conjunction with FantasyPros.com, so most of the info on them will be available at that site.

2. They are free and do have cash prizes. No deposit necessary. The message that someone quoted about 'deposit to play for real money' is if you want to play in the regular contests on the site, which are h2h, 5 player, and 10 player contests with entry fees ranging from $5 up to $100. We also sometimes run larger tournaments, typically with $10 entry fees. Deposits are by credit card or Paypal, withdrawals are by Paypal (or check for over $250).

3. Players like Romo generally are left alone because an overpriced player doesn't hurt anything, but if we wait too long to adjust the price back up when they get healthy it really messes with game balance that week.

4. Players on IR still being listed at high prices are indeed due to our laziness. Specifically mine. While they don't hurt anything, if you PM me (or better yet email me at alex@fanduel.com) I'd be happy to remove them for future weeks.
