Not a huge deal but I do think they thought I wouldn't notice or care so they took it on the way out. Do I ask for it back? Thanks.
Was everything itemized you were getting? We used to do an addendum? Not a huge deal but I do think they thought I wouldn't notice or care so they took it on the way out. Do I ask for it back? Thanks.
Oh come on! Peloton is definitely furniture. https://alessifit.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/unnamed.jpegWhen I think "furnished" I think "basic furniture needed to live in reasonably good condition." In other words, I think a bed, dining room table, living room furniture including a coffee table and some end tables, and, probably a TV, all basic appliances, and a kitchen with reasonable kitchenware (utensils include a silverware set and things like spatulas and tongs).
I would not think a peloton is included in the above. So, unless you specifically bargained for it, I don't really think they're out of line by taking it.
A coat rack is definitely furniture.A Peloton is not furnishings.
Did you expect them to leave the beer and condoms too?Not a huge deal but I do think they thought I wouldn't notice or care so they took it on the way out. Do I ask for it back? Thanks.

This thread has to be fishing - who would expect an exercise bike as "furnishings" - did he think they'd pay his monthly fee also?I would not think a peloton is included in the above. So, unless you specifically bargained for it, I don't really think they're out of line by taking it.
Thanks, a serious reply. Lots of sarcasm, which I enjoy (and expected). It was just a question on something I didn't want to bother the realtor about. There is a section in real estate contracts called inclusions. If you and your agent didn’t list it there, it wasn’t included.
(Although if you were buying it fully furnished, it would be better to have everything included itemized in an addendum as someone else mentioned.)

OMG, blasphemous! BTW the seller lives in Michigan, this home is in Cali. You really think he shipped that thing out there? No way.
Also, if it matters, the home was not for sale. Contacted the owner and wrote a letter saying we would like to buy the home, exactly as is (they literally just renovated it to an Airbnb), so this is a little different than your typical sale.
Anyway, it doesn't matter, it was just a question, sorry it struck a cord.
This is wrong. Unless stated in the contract, only permanent fixtures stay with a home. It being a short-term rental does change things. Usually when STRs are sold furnished/turk-key it includes everything, down to the dish towels and bath mats. Not that there is anything legal saying that, just that's the typical protocol. And yes, TVs/stereos as well.

I'm putting together my offer on the place. What arcade machines are we talking about? Liquor in the closet up to FBG standards? This is wrong. I understand you're talking about legally, but I'm just talking about in practice. Out of state investors sell their STRs, they never even step back into the place from the date the offer is made to the day the keys are turned over (by someone else, remotely). That's how it works in practice 99% of the time with STRs. I've been involved with dozens of these transactions, bought/sold a few myself, know people involved in hundreds of them.
If someone buys my STR in Florida 2000 miles away from me it will come with everything that's in there right now from the towels to the sliverware to the TVs to the arcade machines to the liquor in the owner's closet. In practice, that's how it works 99% of the time when an investor is selling an STR to another investor.
For a separate unit (ADU) / workout room? Um, as incredibly witty your necessary one-liner was, it actually is a good addition. I'll get another one, so whatever, but no way they shipped that thing cross country. It really tied the room together man.
That's my guess.I think the property manager might have snuck one by the goalie and
