I don't understand why Marshall is being called out in the media. What is this going to accomplish? I mean Marshall probably said he was not going to play so therefore is this a last resort in he hopes he will play. If anything this will make it worst you would think. Maybe Mcdaniels has had enough of dealing with Marshall and his attitude for the whole season and this is a message. Managing egos is one of the toughest part of being a professional coach. Mcdaniels will have to learn how to deal with these things better. Marshall has TO characteristics that also are a worry for anyone that owns this guy in dynasty leagues.

Anyways, here we are again dealing with McDaniels' drama. I've never seen a male so addicted to drama as he is.

That's exactly what I though when I heard this story. McDaniels is the Chad Johnson of coaches. Except without the being-good part.

The sad part of it for Bronco fans is that instead of losing the idiot, drama queen, power hungry coach, they're going to lose the best receicer in football and THEN lose the knucklehead coach a year later when the owner realizes how terrible he is.

Dear Brandon, There is a strong armed QB in Baltimore that could use a little help at the WR position. He can throw the ball accurately a country mile, and he doesn't lose his poise.

As have I. You would think that, coming from the Belichick tree, he would know to keep problems inside the locker room, but he seems to like airing any dirty laundry at all to the media. And it was easy to get caught up in the 6-0 start, but the 2-7 slide shows that the team quite obviously caught teams early on who weren't taking them completely serious (and they caught teams like NE and SD when they were still both have early season struggles), and once teams did, they had major troubles (their only wins since coming against the 3-12 Chiefs and a Giants team that is 3-7 in their last ten games), and McDaniels seems to have no idea how to get the team to handle any adversity (probably because his drama queen actions seem to be causing a great deal of the adversity).

McDaniels is a total clown! I thought he handled it terribly in preseason but was bailed out when Marshall decided to play well and that helped mend the relationship some. So instead of building on that momentum McDaniels does this now, I really don't think he will be successful as a head coach unless he learns from his failures. He did not learn from his first handling of Marshall and now this is going to loom all offseason and get very ugly. I don't see Marshall staying in Denver and that is a shame for Denver because he is a talent. I don't own him in any of my keeper leagues so I don't have any bias in this situation

Not to sidetrack, but I don't think Joey Galloway was an iffy WR at all. He had some major injury problems but when healthy he was very good.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Brandon Marshall is "gone" if the Broncos are offered a first- and third-round pick for him this offseason.

Schefter adds that "It's possible, even likely" that Marshall has played his last down in a Denver uniform. Marshall is headed for restricted free agency in the offseason, but will still be in search of a big-time contract extension no matter whose roster he's on. I thought the preseason was a total whack job by this guy with Cutler and Marshall, but in this situation, I heard on the radio this morning that the leaders of the team came to McD and told him to take a hard line with Marshall. When the captains of the O and the D say, "bench this chump," what do you expect McD to do? Honestly, it's probably the first rational thing the guy has done in terms of personnel all season IMO.

Walking, for a price.Just because a player isn't franchised (or transitioned) doesn't mean a team gives up its RFA rights. The franchise tag is typically (exclusively?) placed on unrestricted free agents.

If the players did indeed come to him and did indeed want those guys benched (which I'm still not sure I believe is the full and true story), then he could have done so much more discreetly and let the team go about their business without creating a media stir. Your team has a shot at the playoffs and as the HC you think creating controversy and distraction is a good thing to accomplish that goal? One of those cutting off your nose to spite your face type deals.

Scheffler is a moot point here. Not special really. As for the rest. So what if Dawkins is not the future of the team. It would seem the guy is a leader and should be listened to. Should they have asked the rookies what they think should've been done with BM?

Uh, I think you are conveniently disregarding the fact that Orton had an IMMENSELY better supporting cast than Cutler has this year. I am amazed that some are trying to connect the dots on that one, but some are just determined to defend McDaniels and his foolishness to death, I guess. I wonder how those "team leaders" enjoyed losing by 20 points at home to a 3-12 team today.

Uh, I think you are conveniently disregarding the fact that Orton had an IMMENSELY better supporting cast than Cutler has this year. The Broncos are much stronger than the Bears at literally every offensive position... except QB. That may or may not impact your comparison of their performances this year...

Bears are superior at TE as well IMO, and RB is pretty close. But obviously the WRs are no comparison.

Scheffler should have been cut weeks ago.

Marshall is not worth the hassle. He is very talented, though his numbers have been inflated due to the system, but he has a massive TO complex without TO's work ethic.

Trade him and be rid of the constant headache. It is also likely that Marshall will get dinged and suspended again.

I think Bears fans might disagree. For an athletic pass-catching TE, Olsen is strikingly unathletic and prone to drops. Sheffler might be better.

Do we have evidence that Marshall was upset with the Scheffler decision or that he is such close friends with Scheffler that he would protest in this way? It all sounds very unprobable to me. More probable is that McFail is a buffoon who didn't handle team discipline in a private way and who is trying to look for scapegoats for a failed season. Ultimately, he is responsibible for a team that has collapsed in a historic way. He won't be fired yet because that would suggest that ownership made a mistake in getting rid of Shanny and bringing this bozo in, but I predict he will be fired after next season.

Eh? I am pretty sure that McDaniels is not running the same system that Shanahan did, and Marshall flourished greatly in both, so no offense, but your statement doesn't make a lot of sense.
