All over. What was your favorite scene?

I think I still loved the "I am the one who knocks" scene.

The cousins coming after Hank in the parking lot. I've watched that seen a dozen times.

This. To me, that is when the show went from "man, this is pretty good television" to "this is one of the best shows of all time, I hope they don't mess it up."

The scene where Walt gets the ricin and stops where his living room was to reflect (With Hank etc) was amazing as well. That scene hits so hard the second time watching the finale.

Yup. The flashback to Hank in the living room was very sad.

That was a very powerful scene.

So sad.

Hank saying easy money....maybe you can come along for ride, get some excitement in your life.

Todd hadn't yet realized Walt was responsible. The gun was inside the trunk and not visible from the window, so Todd hadn't yet put it together that Walt brought it in.

I felt a little let down by this final season. Show certainly peaked in season 4, IMO. I preferred Jessie when he wasn't the tortured soul and a shell of his former self. Also the Nazis as the "bad guys" didn't come close to the complex character Gus was.

Probably true up until episode 13 and 14 of season 5, which were 2 of the best in the entire series.

I think my only real gripe with the ending is that we've always seen Walt's grand plans, and then, how they backfire on him. The ending felt a bit off in that it seems like everything wrapped up nice for Walt, and he "won", even "beat cancer" and went out on his own terms... and, based on watching how the show's been in the past, I'm still left waiting for the other shoe to drop.

I half expected Walt to just get shot in the head by the Neo-Nazis without a chance to set off his machine gun.

Or that the bullets don't make it through the rebar enforced concrete. Machine gun goes off for 30 seconds and everyone is still standing around looking at Walt.

The problem with that ending is that it would have gratified us in the moment ("Ha, I never saw that coming!") but would have ultimately been unsatisfying ("I watched for five years and he ended up dead and buried in a nazi compound...?")

I need to re-watch the party Skyler throws for Walt's remission. Because I swear Carol was in that scene

Yeah, I was wondering where he was going with that. I wasn't sure if Todd quite knew that it was Walt that did all of that.

Half measures. I think many of my favorite scenes involve Mike.

Easily mine as well. But I think his final scene with Skyler is a close second.

Yeah, I was wondering where he was going with that. I wasn't sure if Todd quite knew that it was Walt that did all of that.

Todd had no clue what just happened. He was looking for the shooters and telling "Mr. White" he didn't see where they were.

Yeah, if a ton of bullets start getting fired into a house, I don't think most people would suspect a remote control machine gun operated by keychain. Todd thought somebody out there was shooting.

This one came to mind right away for me. I was enjoying the show up until that point, but that was the scene that really hooked me in.

Also found it interesting that Tuco was supposed to have a longer run on the show, but Raymond Cruz asked to be killed off because it was hard for him to play a character that crazy. He did a great job with it though.

Seriously? Drug money is pretty much automatically confiscated.

Edit: Also, it's not going to fly to have an "anonymous donor" mysteriously drop $9 million in cash on your front door. The last couple of seasons have made it abundantly and pretty realistically clear that it's really hard to process cash.

They can spend the cash or burn it for that matter. The point is that walt gave them 9 mil and they will set up a trust for jr in that amount

The cops that showed up at the end. And I'm not saying Jessie, in particular. But if the cops show up to a spot where everyone is dead, seems like someone got away. I'm not saying anything bad about the ending. I'm just saying that I don't think Jessie would just be in the free and clear. I'm sure his prints are all over that place.

It's definitely very odd that this show, of all shows, got a warm and fuzzy happy ending.

The freight train to hell ended with a redemption story for Walt and a feel-good story for Jesse.

Ozy was, I think, the sort of ending that most of us expected, and this was definitely a little different. For a long time, it didn't feel like this would all end with Hank as the only real White/Schrader family casualty, Jesse being free, and Walt going out a hero with $9 mill. likely still going to his kids.

If someone was disappointed and felt it was a bit of too tidy fan service, I could see it.

I don't know which finale I liked better, but certainly you could make the case that Vic Mackey and Strike Team met a more fitting fate than Walt. And maybe that Ryan had more courage in sending his freight train off the tracks than Gilligan did.

I think Walt absolutely intended on dying in the line of fire by the gunfire he himself was gonna set off. The way he spoke several times, and the way he looked at Holly and Flynn for the last time, he knew he was gonna die that night. But once he saw what Jesse had gone through, he tackled him to protect him first before he set the gunfire off.

He knew he was going to die or go to jail. Either way, it's goodbye

I had a huge problem with the finale. it was the laser pointers. there is no way, NO WAY, that anyone, let alone 2 meth heads could hold a laser pointer that steady from that far a distance. try it some time, you'll see how impossible it is. its easy to do it fixed on a rifle because a rifle is bigger and you get more leverage, but 2 little laser pointers? NO WAY. the dots would've been all over the place and we should've seen Gretchen and Elliot's cats going bonkers over them during the scene.

Walt's not smart enough to think of way they can steady it? C'mon man

I thought of it as a flash forward. I thought he looked older in that scene. I really don't know though.

I thought it was a dream rather than a flash forward. I thought his clothes got caught on something in that sequence, and then switched to his chain being caught to snap things back to reality. But I could be misremembering.

Gilligan said on Talking Bad that it was Jesse day-dreaming about happier times.

Kill everyone who may carry the business forward, let Jesse go back to his own life, siphon the money through Elliot and Gretchen like it had been earned if he had stayed with Grey Matter.

Lydia was also a threat to Skyler. She wanted Todd to kill her. A bunch of Nazis end up dead, you don't think she'll freak and start killing off potential witnesses and threats again? Lydia had to die to keep the Whites safe...

I think the writers really dropped the ball in not showing which interstates Walt followed on his trip back to New Mexico. I mean, there are several viable routes.

True but Walt got the ricin before he found out Skyler had been threatened and told not to talk about Lydia. So I think he had every intention of killing her no matter what. Again, I think he wanted to kill the monster he created and that meant everyone connected to it had to go.

Jesse wouldn't be totally free and clear, but I think everyone who knows the full extent of what he's done is dead. The cops will see him as a person of interest, but not someone worth a nationwide manhunt like Walt. As long as he disappears to some place far away from Albuquerque (and he almost certainly will) he should be OK.
