13.7 Bills - Red Bryant, DE

Steal getting him here. Plays DE in a 4-3 at 320 lbs but that spot on Pete Carroll's 4-3 has the same duties as a 3-4 DE. I'm going to put him at end next to Ngata at NT and this has the makings of just a dominant D line. This Bills team is going to have some front 7.

Kirk Wilson

Mark Ingram

Justin Blackmon

Joe Staley

Mike Iupati

Marshall Yanda

Bobby Massie

Red Bryant

Haloti Ngata

Tamba Hali

Donta Hightower

Courtney Upshaw

Chris Houston
LOL I like how you forgot your own QB's name there...

13.11 Cleveland Browns select Marcel Reece, FB

OK so maybe this is early for a fullback, but I think Reece is a unique player at the position. At 6'1" 255 lbs he runs a legit 4.4. He's only been playing fullback for about two years, but already he's one of the better (6th in the league) blocking backs. He's most known for his receiving talents (led all FBs and most RBs), which makes him perfect for this offense. I also value him a lot for his running ability which he showed taking over for McFadden last season. His 3.3 Yards after contact/attempt was ridiculous, as only 4 RBs (!) did better. He can block, catch out of the backfield, split out wide, in the slot, at TE, even spell Spiller. He's a true multi-threat and I did not want to miss out on him.

Offense

4.22 QB Geno Smith

3.11 HB C.J. Spiller

13.11 FB Marcel Reece

1.22 WR A.J. Green

2.11 WR Demaryius Thomas

5.11 LT William Beatty

12.22 LG Rob Sims

8.22 OC John Sullivan

11.11 RG Louis Vasquez

7.11 RT Gosder Cherilus

Defense

10.22 CB Derek Cox

6.22 S Reshad Jones

9.11 S Troy Polamalu

I wanted Stewart because I grade him as a player that could successfully handle a full workload and is good at everything.

I wanted Reece because of his versatility. I'd rather not discuss what my offensive plans were originally when the draft started, what they changed to once Wayne fell to the 11/12 turn, and what they are now.

Wow, Saints were going for one of Stewart or Reece at the turn.
I had just put Stewart on my list for this round.I may be insane, but (even an offensive threat like Reece) I think this is waaayyyyyy too early for fullbacks.
The thing is, I think Reece is just scratching the surface. If used properly he can have an impact like Mike Alstott or Larry Centers (mr. 100 catch FB). I like the versatility he brings to the offense, that I could come out in base personnel and then run the hurry-up with pretty much any formation. I wouldn't have used a pick this early on any other fullback.

Some solid picks for sure in this round. Derek Wolfe was a guy that I almost took with my last pick. Very under the radar type of player that makes some great plays.

What I would've given to see Stewart all by himself in an offense. To me he was right behind AP as most talented rb coming out over the past 10 years. What a shame.

Or would his penchant for always being nicked prevent him from being a superstar?

Based on tape study, NFL Films' Greg Cosell stated on Path to the Draft Thursday that Syracuse QB Ryan Nassib is his No. 1-rated draft-eligible quarterback.Cosell agrees with Russ Lande of the National Football Post, who also grades Nassib as this year's top signal caller. Cosell cited Geno Smith's "slow eyes" in terms of anticipation and "ball location" on intermediate to deep throws as reasons for concern. "My No. 1 quarterback based on the film study I've done is Ryan Nassib," Cosell said. "I liked him overall more than Geno Smith. I think he's a much more precise intermediate thrower. I think the ball comes out with a little better velocity at the intermediate level. And I think he's a little more accurate. And I like his footwork a little bit better."
Gruden, Lande, and now Cosell. Makes me feel a little bit better about my pick.

If you look around there are plenty of people who feel Nassib and a couple other QBs are better than Geno Smith . Think you got good value considering where Smith was picked.....depends on where he lands in the draft.

13.14 QB Carson Palmer

Still should have 2-3 years left assuming I can keep him upright. Will have to look for a good backup though or a top QB in the next rookie class or two.

:goodposting: All things considered he played pretty well last season. He had similar numbers to Matt Schaub who went off the board a long time ago. I can't believe there are still two teams without anybody at QB. I wonder who they'll end up with.

I still see a number of solid quarterbacks who could excel in the right system. I don't see the big deal. If Nassib was gone, I'd probably have waited another 5-10 rounds to get a qb.

I could see several QBs doing OK (not great) with the Dolphins squad. They at least have some good weapons and a solid o-line. I'd be really concerned about any QB going to the Cardinals.

very tempted to go with one of two players who just don't make a lot of sense for our team, so I won't although they could be BPA.

then there's a guy I'm targetting who will likely drop another round or two...

a luxury pick who isn't needed but I'd be shocked if he weren't taken later this round.

I need to give Dalton time to throw, and my Oline is maybe average right now with Cordy Glenn and Austin Howard; both are fairly young, versatile, hard working and seem to be of high character, so I'll take another that fits that mold. Can play Guard or Tackle, although he'll likely play guard for us.

13.15 Clint Boling, G

His OL is okay so far and his D should be pretty good, but I agree; his offense will be anemic.

Can I merge the Titans and Lions?

Saints + Chiefs would be the best "combo" team:

Offense

QB Aaron Rodgers, Ryan Nassib

RB Marshawn Lynch

WR Dwayne Bowe

WR Pierre Garcon

WR Reggie Wayne

WR Torrey Smith

TE Martellus Bennett

LT Jared Veldheer

LG Phil Loadholt

C Will Montgomery

RG Chris Chester

LT Bryan Bulaga

Defense

DE Michael Bennett

DT Calais Campbell

DT Marcell Dareus

DE Sharrif Floyd

SLB Brandon Graham

WLB Dannell Ellerbe

MLB Bobby Wagner

CB Lardarius Webb

CB Chris Harris Jr.

CB Richard Sherman

CB Tarell Brown

FS Eric Weddle

The offense is unstoppable and I would play single-high man the entire game.

How many rounds are we going?
We need to do at least 25 so everyone can get their starters and a few key depth players. I'd like to see this go all the way to 53 but that's probably a pipe dream.
Agreed. it would be nice to go and get at least a starting offense and defense, but would ideally like to do all 53.... it would be interesting how people draft, especially for the special teams squad =P

I'm all for 53, but if we get stuck maybe we change the format after round 25 (or when we get stuck). Go to either double picks - so we take two at a time, or FCFS starting at 9am eastern each day?

Patriots select Donald Thomas, Guard

I think he's okay, apparently can play both guard positions - hopefully its because it was needed and not because he failed at one side.

I plead ignorance in terms of interior o line knowledge.

13.21 Cincinnati Bengals select Stevie Brown, FS

I'm shocked that a guy who had 8 picks is still on the board this late. I had to triple check the board to make sure I didn't miss something.

Offense

1.12 QB Matt Ryan

6.12 RB Arian Foster

3.21 WR Michael Crabtree

11.21 TE Greg Olsen

2.21 LT Ryan Clady

8.12 LG Andy Levitre

12.12 RG Zane Beadles

Defense

4.12 DL Corey Liuget

5.21 DL Carlos Dunlap

7.21 DE/OLB Dion Jordan

9.21 DE/OLB Barkevious Mingo

10.12 CB Vontae Davis

13.21 FS Stevie Brown

I don't think it was a matter of failure. Thomas was a backup last season, and started in place of Mankins and Connelly when they went down. He went back to a backup role when they got back.PFF rated him higher than any of the Patriots guards. I think he's a solid pick at this point.

:(
Sorry man but I'm not sold that Peters/Saffold can stay healthy (missed combined 31 games the last 2 seasons) and your receivers don't scare anyone. No TE or RB to take the pressure off. It's a bad situation for a QB who likely isn't good enough to transcend the situation.Your defense is great but it's one of those situations where they will be on the field and tired most of the game.

At least you're staying true to the real Cardinals :lmao:

Hey now... my O-line is already far superior to the Cardinals'. Even if Peters doesn't come back.
