Build a FRANCHISE draft (2 Viewers)

RBM here...for some reason when I'm logged in with that name it's a real ####ty version of the old board. Log in under this one and its great.

Who's on the clock?

Bucs 20.20: Quentin Jammer, SS

Think I can move Jammer to SS and get a couple years out of him.

ETA: PM sent to Wu-Banger

20.21 - Chargers select

Leodis McKelvin , CB / PRMcKelvin has had an up and down start to his career as a defensive back but his success as a return man is a big plus.

Working as a nickle back along side two promising young CB's and safties would work well for him to regain the first round ability he has shown.

His value in the special teams area , especially on a defensive based team is a huge factor.

20.22 Cleveland Browns select Captain Munnerlyn, CB

If the Panthers believe he can be a starter then I guess I can too. He did well last season and he'll be just 25 this year, so I think he has some upside. Besides, who wouldn't want a guy named Captain on their team?

20.19 LB Thomas Davis

2 Panthers in a row. Just think of what he could have been if he didn't have the knee injuries...

20.24 - Dolphins select - Robert TurbinI know I mentioned that Vick Ballard is young and can be a workhorse, but with no QB and most likely going to be running a lot, having a young set of legs can't hurt. He proved he can play in the big leagues and would be a great COP or 1-2 punch with BallardOffense2.09 - Russell Okung, LT3.09 - Randall Cobb, WR6.24 - Josh Sitton, OG8.24 - Stefen Wisniewski, C10.09 - Jeremy Maclin, WR12.24 - John Greco, OG14.24 - Chris Hairston, RT16.24 - Rob Housler, TE17.09 - Vick Ballard, RB19.09 - Brian Quick, WR

20.24 - Robert Turbin, RBDefense:1.24 - Navorro Bowman, LB4.24 - Robert Quinn, DE5.09 - Charles Tillman, DB7.09 - Jabaal Sheard, DL9.09 - Morgan Burnett, FS11.09 - Colin McCarthy, LB13.09 - Donte Whitner, SS15.09 - Jimmy Smith, DB18.24 - Sammie Lee Hill, DL

Work has been busy. Please PM or text the next guy, thanks!

Love the Turbin pick . Was going to pick him on the backside to pair with Stewart. Almost picked gim instead of Stewart

20.25 Chiefs selet Jameel McClain, ILB

The last starter in my base defense. I'm a big fan of his game and versatility. I'll rely on him coming back from his injury similar to how the Ravens will be.

Tomorrow, lets try a 45min clock, if no one strongly objects. It seems like if people aren't picking within the first few mins of being contacted, they will make up the pick later, when they have time.

Why not 30 mins then? Seems like 15 minutes won't make much of a difference.

With pick 20.27, the Colts select OLB DeAndre Levy.

Talented OLB who had 109 tackles in 2011...slowed by hamstring injuries last year, only 26 years old and I see a bounceback season for him.

I agree. 30-45 min should be fine, unless someone messages here that they will be making their pick in an hour or whatnot. If there is no word, the guy can be skipped. That's my suggestion.

I don't have any options above my text box. No size/font/bold/italics etc... And no faces either

WTF

21.04 Houston Selects Brandon LaFell WR My starters are now set on offense. Obviously this is a ball control team; heavily invested in my O-line to ensure we could run the rock and that my Rookie QB will have time to develop gradually. Forte is a good workhorse back and adds top notch receiving skills for a RB.

QB Matt Barkley 8.29

RB Matt Forte 6.29

FB Vonta Leach 17.04

WR T.Y. Hilton 13.04

WR Brandon LaFell 21.04

TE Ed Dickson 20.29

LT Matt Kalil 2.04

LG Davin Joseph 15.04

C Ryan Kalil 4.29

RG Chance Warmack 5.04

RT Zach Strief 19.04

21.05 Baltimore Ravens select Michael Robinson, FB

I think with having Ray Rice, he really relies on a strong FB (Leron McClain,Vonta Leach...) to open some holes. I like Robinson's versatility as he's a good pass catching FB and good blocking FB.

With pick 21.6, the Colts select RB Mikel Leshoure

Need a good power back to team up with CJ2K, and Leshoure should do well as that guy. Did ok in what was basically his rookie season, and will be even better 1 more year removed from his achilles injury.

Actually not terrible as a receiver out of the backfield, either, so could potentially be ready to take over a full load once CJ decides to call it a career.

Was really hoping to pair Leshoure with David Wilson for thunder and lightning, considered him instead of Da'rick Rogers too.

Sorry. In the movie theater so I'll make my pick fast. My starting qb will be nick foles

Showed decent performance with a sub par line. Might do something with weapons I have on my team

21.11 Cleveland Browns select Khaseem Greene, ROLB

In a 4-3 it's important to have a quick ROLB (think Derrick Brooks), and I think Greene fits that description (although probably not as good). He converted from safety so one of the knocks on him was that he was too small, but he bulked up to 240 already and still ran in the 4.6 range.

On a side note I realize I have selected 5 rookie linebackers between my two teams. I guess I just feel that there aren't that many exceptional linebackers in the league (probably because it's a passing league now) and I'd rather gamble on their athleticism rather than taking an established vet early. I think this could really pay off for me if these guys (all of whom should be 1st or 2nd rounders) all start for their real teams.

4.22 QB Geno Smith
3.11 HB C.J. Spiller
13.11 FB Marcel Reece

Chargers select -

21.12 - Erin Henderson , LB

Solid OLB that adds to the defensive versatility I'm looking for ....seamless ability to transform from 3-4 to 4-3 to multiple nickle packages .

FYI ...am I the only one having problems clicking on the Google doc on mobile since the New board .....will not launch even when I copy and pasted the link.

Honeslty to me the rookies have ruined this exercise . It becomes a crutch & is kind of lazy. But thats just me

I was one of the people who thought the rookie draft should be seperate, but since they were included I definitely went in with the mentality of "would I trade this guy for a first round pick? If so, what rookie should I take?"
