Build a FRANCHISE draft (1 Viewer)

Maybe we should be doing one round a day? This is annoying searching for kickers and punters. I'm just going to take them all today to get it over with

28.12 - Tim Tebow , FB/TE

Like the versatility and winning attitude Tebow brings .......plus he'll sell some jerseys.

If he could accept the role of TE and H Back he could really help a run first defensive minded team.
Taken

Chargers select -

28.12 Brennan Williams, OT, North Carolina

Nice size for a great run blocking tackle..... projects as a RT and could be a backbone on the o-line with bookend Kyle Long.

Injury bug hurt him at UNC .

Cardinals:

Round 28: Garrett Graham, TE/FB

Round 29: Garrett Reynolds, G

Graham is another weapon that I can move around the field to exploit mismatches. He'll also likely be the starting TE while Miller recovers.

Reynolds will give me quality depth on the O-line

Chargers select -

29.21 - Knile Davis , RB

Like to add another big play threat on offense and can help in the return game.

Even if Murray does not maintain his health Davis can still be a complimentary threat with Law Firm

I don't like 2 straight rounds fcfs.
I don't think I like two rounds at a time either. My suggestion would be to have one round in the morning and another in the evening, so we'd still do two rounds a day.

Maybe just today is bad because everyone is filling their K and P spots.

We could do just 1 round per day if this is the concensus. I'd prefer that over two starting times.

Also if the 10AM time is not good we can move it.

Got it ....

Was not under the impression we needed to rush to get this thing done.

I would understand if we wanted to finish before the rookie draft and then have another draft for rookies, but that is not the case.
It's not so much that we are in a huge rush but people are starting to lose interest so I'd rather get through these last few rounds. I think we should still finish before the NFL draft so that those picks don't influence peoples' decisions.

If we continue with 2 rounds per day and pause on weekends then we can be done in 2.5 weeks.

Giants select -

Kwame Geathers , DT/NT

Wanted to add a player with the ability to play a true NT position. Kwame has the size and natural talent to be a steal this late as well as the real NFL draft if he slips. Would be the third brother Geathers in the NFL.

We need to finish this by April 24th. April 25th is the first day of the NFL draft.

We have 24 rounds to go (30-53) and only 15 days.

We can cut back to one round per day, including weekends, until next Wendesday, at which point we'd need to go to 2 a day in order to get our picks in by the 24th. I figure in the late rounds this will be less of an issue as the talent will be thin regardless.

Tu 4/09: 30

We 4/10: 31

Th 4/11: 32

Fr 4/12: 33

Sa 4/13: 34

Su 4/14: 35

Mo 4/15: 36

Tu 4/16: 37

We 4/17: 38, 39

Th 4/18: 40, 41

Fr 4/19: 42, 43

Sa 4/20: 44, 45

Su 4/21: 46, 47

Mo 4/22: 48, 49

Tu 4/23: 50, 51

We 4/24: 52, 53

What do you guys think? Personally I'd prefer two a day, not including weekends, in which case we'd finish on the same day.

We could also do 2 a day with different time slots if that is the preference.

Giants select -

Braden Hansen, C/G, BYU

Hansen can play a couple O Line spots and has great size..... late season injury has him flying under the radar.

We'll start with 1 round per day for the rest of this week. In the meantime, I want to hear everyone's thoughts on whether we should have picks on the weekend and if we should return to 2 rounds per day once we get past round 40 just to finish it up.

Why does it need done by the NFL Draft??
I don't think it would be fair if picks are influenced by the draft.
I don't think it's a big deal. Even if we do 1 round a day, we'd be deep enough in the draft where the early picks in the draft will be gone.
I was inclined to get done before the real draft, but maybe a few rounds remaining after the draft wouldn't be an issue.

I'll vote one round per day including weekends. Puts us to round 47 before the draft with 6 left. Prefer to turn it off that weekend if possible.

One round per day including weekends is my vote. I don't think the NFL draft will affect anything.

Alternatively, we could do one round a day and finish at 44 rounds, which would give us a pretty complete roster and we'd be done by the draft.

44 rounds works for me. Roughly one starter and one backup for every position.

1 round per day.

And who cares about the NFL draft? We're already into the 2nd/3rd round at this point I'm sure, and with a couple more weeks of picks...it won't matter at all.

Proposed make up picks for Packers:

25.16: Antwan Barnes, DE -- Situational pass rusher

26.17: Joseph Randle, RB -- pass-catching RB

27.16: Travis Benjamin, WR -- slot WR / return man

Fine with thisAnd somebody from NFL network should cover this ####, for all the work we will have put in.

Any objections? Should I enter these on the spreadsheet?

Patriots select Jerome Harrison.

I've been considering him for the last few rounds. The young pass rushers on my squad really need guidance from a veteran leader and I don't think I would rather have anyone else but Jerome Harrison. I love his nasty attitude. I hope he really helps set the tone for our defense with Bernard Pollard. I think this is the optimal time to grab him. We have many of our key spots settled and we selected our young OLBs early so getting them the right "frame of mind" for nasty play in this league is a priority. Harrison helps that goal, I'll also want to use him in some situational pass rushing downs whenwe know the other time is likely to pass. If we switch Bruce Irvin to DE in a few 3-4 sets with Harrison and Houston on the edge, i think the quarterbacks will likely be under difficult pressure.

James?

I thought Jerome = RB

We are so deep in some of these positions that I thought there was a player named Jerome Harrison playing OLB ....ya never know.

Whoops. It's the offseason. I guess I'm off my game, lol.

I liked the two rounds at a time, looks like I'm in the minority though.
I think two rounds a day in a few rounds is fine when I don't care too much about my bench anymore. But getting around to it when 40 players are off the board already isn't fun. It's like one team gets 27.1 and 27.2, and the last team gets 28.31 and 28.32 - not too fair.

I understand where u come from but th fact that it's so late means the difference is almost nothing....if we were still in round 10 or something, then I would agree with only one per day.

Anyone interested in taking over the Eagles, Packers, and/or Panthers, at least temporarily? I don't want them to fall too far behind and the guys aren't responding to texts.
