5.9 Dolphins select Charles Tillman, DB

"I really wanted to go young and choose a RT, but the top choices on my list were taken. And I wanted to go young on defense, but Tillman was so hard to pass up, especially the way he forces fumbles naturally. He might be 32 and is no coverage expert, but I think he could do what he is doing for another few years"

Also if Tillman were to fail and regress as CB, I'd probably shift him over to Strong Safety, which is what the Bears have considered in the past.

Offense:

2.09 - Russell Okung, LT

3.09 - Randall Cobb, WR

Defense:

1.24 - Navorro Bowman, LB

4.24 - Robert Quinn, DE

5.09 - Charles Tillman, DB

I was probably taking him this round. He'll probably move to Safety at some point.

Actually Tillman wasn't that bad in coverage last season. I do think he's a better fit at safety. He was picked on a lot last year. You'd get fumbles too if you got to tackle receivers that often.

Tillman has played primarily in a zone his career, but when asked to go man on some stud wrs, he's been pretty awesome. Completely owned Calvin in the first Lions game last year.

One of all time fav Bears.

You're right and he had his moments of owning Randy Moss and Jerry Rice at the early of his career, but still can't help remember the times Steve Smith burned him in the Divisional Playoffs. There is no question that he has improved his game, but his coverage can be suspect at times imo.

Steve Smith OWNS the Bears

Unless "fumbles" = "embarrassed", no I wouldn't.

5.11 Cleveland Browns select William Beatty, OT

I know I'm putting off defense, but I wanted to get started on the offensive line that will be tasked to protect my new franchise QB. Beatty just turned 28, and I think he's entering his prime. PFF ranked him as the #8 overall LT, but that was dragged down from #5 due to penalties. He's got a balance of pass blocking and run blocking talent, and since he's got low mileage (drafted in 2009) I think he can play at least another 5-7 years.

5.20 Bucs: BRANDEN ALBERT, OT

TIme to get something going on offense. Good / very good pass blocker; mediocre run blocker.

Please PM Duckboy if he's not in the thread.

5.14 WR Hakeem Nicks

Lot of picks sniped since my last one. Going with a WR who is young and has shown plenty of talent; let's just hope he can stay healthy...

Hmm, somehow missed that one on my sheet...

Different direction...

5.14 DT/DE Michael Brockers

5.15 Jason Witten, TE

BPA, provides Dalton an outlet receiver, and he's one of the best blocking TEs in the game.

Shake says to skip him. He will be back on to pick at around 530EST

Nate Blough you are up.

5.18 Cardinals select Brandon Carr, CB

I'm actually very surprised he's lasted this long because this is a guy I had pegged in with Joseph, Flowers, and the like. Carr had a very good year last year with the Cowboys, and while certainly not a "shut-down" corner, he's a guy that I can trust to line up against most #1s by himself.

1.15 Geno Atkins

2.18 Muhammad Wilkerson

3.18 Daryl Washington

4.15 Ryan Kerrigan

5.18 Brandon Carr

Awesome value. As a Cowboys fan, he was really good, despite the pass rush lacking for most of the year.

5.19 Aqib Talib

Character concerns aside, he's capable of being a monster CB for years to come. He showed in 2012 that he's ready to step it up when given the opportunity to play for a winning organization. With an explosive offense and veteran team leader at the helm, Oakland is now in line to be that organization.

A slightly risky pick given his past, but nabbing a cornerback with his upside is crucial for a team that focused on offense in the early rounds.

 really didn't think he'd go yet, but he's a favorite player of mine. (Jayhawk alumni)

wow I'm up already?

5.21 Cincinnati Bengals select Carlos Dunlap, DE

He turns 24 this season and he's already shown to be a well-rounded pass-rusher. I love his size/speed combo and if I can use him right (unlike the real bengals) I think he can be a premier player in this league.

1.13 QB Matt Ryan 27

2.21 LT Ryan Clady 27

3.21 WR Michael Crabtree 26

4.13 DL Corey Liuget 23

5.21 DE Carlos Dunlap 24

at least I know I'm thinking along the same lines as most people here when my picks keep getting taken. Opposite CJones would have been nice. (or Liuget for you)

5.22 Dallas selects Mike Wallace - WR

Anyone who wants to cheat their safety's over to cover Calvin will now find Mike Wallace putting up 6 on them.

Josh Freeman, QB

Luke Joeckel, OT

Calvin Johnson, WR

Mike Wallace WR

Eric Berry, SS

Very nice. If Freeman can step up his game (and he's still young), this offense will be tough to stop.

Two of the best WRs you could pair with Freeman. +1

Freeman isn't the most accurate QB, but he can sling it a mile and these guys will be there to catch it. We are basically going to be running the spread in Dallas. :football:

5.23 RB Jamaal Charles

Having to cover for both he and Kaepernick will be difficult.

Round 4

Favorites: Bobby Wagner, Tyron Smith

Least Favorites: Bruce Irvin (love the player but OLBs have to cover and stop the run too)

####. That was my deep guy for Flacco.

Favorite - Brandon Albert , nice OL who can fill a couple positions.

least - Victor Cruz , he was picked ahead of Hakeem Nicks....that shouldn't happen.

There is a big time LT I'm pretty shocked is still available. Knew he was underrated but didn't realize how much.
