22.28 Redskins select Brandon Lloyd

@work can someone PM next
The Ravens you mean.

Good pick. He was so clearly the BPA talent-wise for the Chiefs but I didn't want his attitude in my young locker room. I contemplated him for the Saints but at this point getting a 4th WR is a luxury. Your team is being led by Willis and Rivers and Rice so I don't see Lloyd's behavior and attitude being too big a problem.

I shudder to think of an offense with Jonathan Baldwin and Brandon Lloyd as its top 2 WRs, though. Gotta hope that Lloyd does not poison Baldwin.

Yeah I was kinda left with nothing at WR. I like Baldwin's upside and then really missed the boat on a second WR. The other reason other than being the "best" WR available (I say that lightly) is that Lloyd is actually a good blocker which will help Rice.

I don't really consider either of those guys to be starter quality at this point in their careers. Rivers is basically going to be in the same situation he's been in real life. Good TE, good RB, terrible receivers.

Yea. I think that if this was real life, this team could find another WR via draft or FA after year one.
Aren't we assuming all of the players drafted in this draft are signed to multiple year deals?
I know I'm expecting to find a replacement for Champ Bailey and improve at weak positions in the 2014 draft.

Maybe even make a trade or two.
Nothing wrong with assuming you'll be adding pieces in the draft but the FA market is going to have very limited talent.

With the 23.6 pick, the Colts select Jeremy Kerley, WR

Needed a 3rd guy here. Kerley performed admirably in replacement duty after Santonio got hurt last season, and will be a great slot WR for my team.

10 picks need to be made up with Nate on the clock...
We have 9 skips outstanding. Maybe after this round we should assess whether we can really go 53 -- or even 35 -- rounds.
Alternatively, maybe some of the active users with only one team can take over a 2nd or 3rd
It's late enough in the draft that at this point people are taking role players and backups. I doubt anybody wants to take over another team at this point. I personally see two options. The first is to cut down on the number of rounds. The second is to slow the pace so not so many picks are skipped.

23.8 Chiefs select A.J. Jenkins, WR

WR is getting really thin. Jenkins was a first round pick this past year. He didn't produce in his rookie year but the 49ers like to bring rookies along slowly. I'll trust Harbaugh and the 49er's evaluation on his talent.

Edit:

As always including my team:

Offense

QB Ryan Nassib 13.8

RB Marshawn Lynch 8.25

FB Bruce Miller 22.25

WR Torrey Smith 9.8

WR Emmanuel Sanders 18.25

SS Glover Quin Jr. 16.25

23.09 - Dolphins select - Jerome Felton, FBSurprised he fell this far even though he plays a forgotten position. As a Pro Bowler this past season, Felton still has a few years of high quality blocking to do for my running game. Vick Ballard and Robert Turbin are going to have some huge runs on my team.

Did I mention that Jerome Felton was a great pick who is elite?

I don't think the skips are that big of a deal. That is why we reduced the clock. The picks at this point are mostly backups/role-players as you said. Now, if someone goes like 4 or 5 rounds without picking then we need to discuss what to do.

Most people are still active and are getting their picks in on time or at worst a few hours late. That seems fine to me and since we put in the 30 minute clock we've been chugging along pretty quick.

I'm personally okay taking another team. I actually think the fact that it's later makes it a little better for someone to take over since the core of the team is set so the original drafter will still take the majority of the credit for building the team most likely. That being said, I would prefer this not be an option.

I'm okay cutting down on the number of rounds, but again it is not preferred. I'm in it for the 53 and it sounds like a few others are too.

Slowing the pace seems like the best option, especially since we didn't have this kind of a problem before we went to a 30 minute clock. That being said, all the picks currently outstanding have been that way for much longer than an hour. Shortening the clock will help those like Instinctive who couldn't make the 30 but got here in 45, but avoiding those skipped picks won't make a difference.

23.11 Cleveland Browns select Nigel Bradham, LOLB

Nothing flashy, just needed a strong-side linebacker for my 4-3. The cupboards are pretty bare at the position, but Bradham showed well as a rookie, particularly down the stretch.

Offense
4.22 QB Geno Smith
3.11 HB C.J. Spiller
13.11 FB Marcel Reece
1.22 WR A.J. Green
2.11 WR Demaryius Thomas
22.22 WR Stedman Bailey
14.22 TE Tony Gonzalez

8.22 OC John Sullivan
11.11 RG Louis Vasquez
7.11 RT Gosder Cherilus

Defense

17.11 DT Kevin Williams
23.11 LOLB Nigel Bradham
18.22 MLB Kevin Minter

Chargers Select -

23.12 - BenJarvus Green-Ellis , RB

Law Firm compliments DeMarco Murray very nicely. Puts a power runner in the back field of a team built to run. Also provides insurance if the injury prone Murray gets dinged up again.

And he has one of the best nick names in football.

Why not make this a FCFS after round 30? every day, one FCFS pick per team. Just be sure to search before posting.

:kicksrock: was going to pair him with Lattimore this round.

In regards to skipped picks I suggest we set a designated time for them to be made up......then proceed.

Have the people being skipped bail or what is the situation??

There's only three guys with missed picks, Skeletore, Nucker, and Shake. Skeletore checked in today and made a pick so I'm assuming he's still around. Shake has been a skip every round so I'm assuming business as usual. Nucker is a concern.

I think this is a good idea. It'd certainly be a lot easier from my perspective so I wouldn't have to text everyone. I'd need everyone's help though because I can't update the spreadsheet at work.

Also in regards to the clock despite it being lowered to 30 minutes I have been texting everyone and I usually let you know when you are on deck so you really have an hour to get your pick in either by posting or texting me back.

23.14 QB Mike Glennon

I just got back. I know late has been on the clock for almost an hour but I'll give him a chance to respond to my text before I pick

23.21 Cincinnati Bengals select Henry Hynoski, FB

Foster always does best with a good blocking fullback, and I think Hynoski is the last of those top guys. He'll be just 24 to start the season, so plenty of upside. He's not much of a receiving threat, but for the zone run offense I don't think that's very important.

And now this team has it's starting lineups:

Offense
1.12 QB Matt Ryan
6.12 RB Arian Foster
23.21 FB Henry Hynoski
3.21 WR Michael Crabtree
18.12 WR Golden Tate
21.21 WR Robert Woods
11.21 TE Greg Olsen
2.21 LT Ryan Clady
8.12 LG Andy Levitre
20.12 C Ryan Lilja
12.12 RG Zane Beadles
16.12 RT Terron Armstead

Defense
4.12 DL Corey Liuget
5.21 DL Carlos Dunlap
15.21 DT Dan Williams
