Build a FRANCHISE draft (1 Viewer)

26.15 Cardinals select Israel Idonije, DE

This is mostly a value pick, since I think he's lasted several rounds too long now, but Idonije will give me another quality, versatile D-lineman that will give me more opportunities to run multiple fronts.

Cardinals Defensive line:
3-man front (base):
RE - Geno Atkins, Mike DeVito
NT - Star Lotulelei, Mike DeVito
LE - Muhammad Wilkerson, Israel Idonije

4-man front:
RE - Israel Idonije
RDT - Geno Atkins, Muhammad Wilkerson
LDT - Muhammad Wilkerson, Star Lotulelei
LE - Mike DeVito

Chargers Select -

26.21 - Donald Jones , WR

Think he could be a gem this late if he can provide an explosive fit to the PAtriots offense.

26.22 Cleveland Browns select Gavin Escobar, TE

I've only got one year with Tony G, so I need to get a viable replacement to start grooming. Scouts are saying that Escobar has the best hands of any TE in the draft. He's not real fast but he's a mismatch. Like Gonzo he can't block, but the Browns have an excellent offensive line and plan to pass a lot so I don't think that's a big issue.

Offense
QB: Geno Smith
RB: C.J. Spiller
FB: Marcel Reece
WR: A.J. Green, Demaryius Thomas, Stedman Bailey
TE: Tony Gonzalez, Gavin Escobar
OL: William Beatty, Rob Sims, John Sullivan, Louis Vasquez, Gosder Cherilus

Defense
DE: Brian Robison, Osi Umenyiora, Datone Jones
DT: Kevin Williams, Brodrick Bunkley
LB: Nigel Bradham, Kevin Minter, Khaseem Greene
CB: Derek Cox, Captain Munnerlyn
S: Reshad Jones, Troy Polamalu

Special Teams
K: Kai Forbath

KR/PR: C.J. Spiller (for now)

¿Like Gonzo he can't block?Gonzo was one of the best blockers while in Kansas city.
Well, last year he was pretty bad at it. Like...worst in the league bad. I know he can do better. My point is that is the biggest knock on Escobar but I don't think it's that big of a deal since I won't use him for that much anyways.

I'm sure Gonzo can block still .......also sure he probably doesn't want to......most blocking is want to and effort.
I didn't watch the falcons much, but this is probably true.blocking requires effort, some quickness and mobility. I'm sure Gonzo still looks good catching, but he didn't have these attributes like he used to.

26.32 Jaguars (8ebok24) select Scott Chandler, TE

27.01 Jaguars (8ebok24) select Lawrence Tynes, K

27.02 Broncos (Instinctive) select Alan Ball, DB

Nate is back on the clock

Think you are putting too much stock in rookie potential with 4 playing huge roles in your offense ......add that too a QB who has been inconsistent , could be huge busts on offense. Not to mention we don't have a clue of which Mike Wallace will emerge in Miami .Very boom or bust team. And who are we supposed to be afraid of on defense ?
Yes it is boom or bust but then again in this entire draft are there any teams that are "sure things"? I could look at almost every team and come up with some hypothetical things that could go wrong to make them seem bad. I went out on a limb here to put together what I felt would become boom rather than bust. If a few things go my way here like my rookies panning out, and Freeman elevating his game when surrounded by a superior offense, I don't see how this offense could be stopped. Obviously I am assuming these things will go my way, and that's why I have drafted those players to fill my system, as has everyone else.

As far as who you can be scared of on Defense, I guess it depends on what scares you more. 2 good disruptive DE's in Tuck and Avril, solid tackling up the middle with Peko and Harris, a dynamic safety like Berry? I don't think this is a dominant defense and didn't expect it to be given how much I invested in the offense at first, but its a D that can hold its own and end up middle of the pack probably.

On your Mike Wallace comment; I took Mike based on what he showed he was in Pit, which was one of the best if not the best deep threats in the game. I don't see why it would be any different in MIA since Tannehill can sling it as well.

Will be interesting to see at the end of the year how my rookies performed.

Joeckel T

Austin WR

Ertz TE

Bernard RB

Banks CB

I think there is a chance that all of them end up as the top rookies at their positions, and a stronger chance that all are either 1st or 2nd rounders. If your NFL franchise had 5 1st and 2nd round picks in this draft including a top 5 overall pick or even possibly #1 overall (Joeckel), how would you feel about the future of your franchise?
