Leaving just a little is a bad move. Leaving a freaking empty box is something one should be drawn and quartered for.

Don't even get me started. My wife has about 6 pairs of shoes/boots stacked on the floor of our room. Right in front of her closed closet door. WTF.

My wife will literally, take the kitchen recycling can out of the cabinet/drawer and place it by the door that leads to our garage.   She wants me to dump it out into the big can when I leave or get a chance to do it.   The best part is if you open the door to the garage - the recycling can is ~ 2 feet from the door  :loco:

Mine will take the garbage bag and leave it by the front door for me to carry to the pail. Somehow it is not too heavy to be carried across the home, but too heavy to make it to the main pail. Go figure.

Lol. that's my point she walked 25 ft to put it in front of the door but couldn't open the door and walk two more

My kids love to put bags of chips back that have fewer chips than those tiny 1 oz bags of chips.  I confronted my 15 year old last week with a family size bag of Doritoes that had crumbs in the bottom. He was rummaging for a snack when I grabbed the bag.  The conversation went like this:

Me: Did you put these back in here?
Him: Yes, why?
Me: These are just crumbs.  Why did you keep them?
Him (smart alecky): Are you too good to eat crumbs?  There's enough there to eat.  They taste the same (mocking me like I would say that about a broken cookie or whatever when they were younger).
Me: Well, you're looking for a snack, here eat these (as I hand him the bag).

He takes the bag from me and brings it over and puts it in the trash can.

What confuses me is that it literally takes less effort to throw something away than to put something in a drawer. :shrug:

I would have used the small bits to put in tacos.  Mmm, tacos.  

 
People that only use their turn signal at the last moment before they turn.  Give me some advance notice of where the #### you're going.

 
People who dont pull up far enough when getting gas, making it impossible for people to use the pump next to it.  

Kinda goes along with gas stations putting the pumps too damn close together.

 
Last week, a colleague calls, I'm not at my desk. Leaves a message he needs to talk to me right away, please call back as soon as possible. Doesn't leave his phone number. Phone number is blocked (I can't retrieve it from my missed calls log). His phone number isn't listed in the directory. I send him an email asking for him to send me his number, or just put his question through in a response email. 

Get an email back complaining about why didn't I call him back. Doesn't include his phone number in the email.

Calls me again today, again I'm not at my desk. Needs me to call him back right away, etc., etc. Doesn't leave return phone number.

People who don't pull up far enough at a stop light, and prevent you from entering the left hand turn lane and you miss the left green arrow. These MF'ers always have about a half to a full car length that they could move up.

 
When fat people stand in the middle of an aisle, or some other space, blocking everyone else from moving past.  And then they stand there and when you say something they act indignant.

this reminds me of the people who take FOREVER to put away their luggage, sweater, etc stuff and finally sit down.  While making sure not to let anyone by.  

Clearly not caring that everyone else is waiting.  Step into seat area and let people by, you obnoxious (oops) :bag: .

I swear some peoples only reason to be on this earth is to get into everyone else's way.

 
I went to Churchill Downs for Oaks Day. I took a walking cane because of a foot issue - that hopefully will be corrected. 

Anyways, I am a local, and we brag about our hospitality during Derby Week. 

Well, I was pushed around, nearly shoved down, openly grumbled about and victim to other sundry hostilities all damn day - - - by locals. Just cause I was walking slow. 

Finally, after about 8 hours, someone offered me a seat. He was from NYC. 

I told him that NYC was rude - we laughed and spent about an hour sharing stories.

At about 90% of groceries I’ve been to, the freezer doors are not quite clear enough to make out prices or detail on the packaging. If I want to comparison shop, or check sodium, or a bunch of other things ... freezer door had to stay open for a bit.

You probably got there right after some clown was standing there with the doors open for two minutes. 

Also, i will save you a ton of time in your life. If it is in the freezer section and it isnt a bag of vegetables, it has a lot of sodium.

construction/construction related companies that either don't return voicemails & emails, or that do and say "we'll send someone out to take a look and give you an estimate" and then never send anyone out.

i'm trying to overpay you for a service that is specific to your company. don't ##### to friends, family and industry peers during the leaner winter hours that you don't have work if you're going to turn down work in the summer.

respond, send someone out for an estimate and let's talk timetable. maybe it works out, maybe not but don't turn down business opportunities out of hand.

Its the reason Im back to mowing my own lawn.   

 
My wfie straddles the line of frugal/cheap way too often.  I truly appreciate that she is not wasteful with money but sometimes she just drives me crazy.

The last one - is my daughter got an eye exam in February.   She got glasses and uses them occasionally.   SHe has trouble seeing far on the board.

Got her some sport specs that she hates (bad fit with helmet etc) long story. Anyway - she asks to get contacts - call doctor.  SHe needs to come back in to get checked.

wife: "are they going to charge us?"

me: "yeah - i think its $75 (we dont have insurance for my daughter)

wife: ugh, we could probably go somewhere cheaper, or get free contacts for her when I get mine.

me: shes never neede them before - so I want to makes sure its done right....

wife: yeah but we will have to pay a,b,c...

We aren't buying them there. Just getting checked/measured fitted for a first timer.   Are you really trying to haggle over the $75 for your kids eyes? :lol:   smh

 
That conversation happens a lot at our house. Just last weekend...

Me: I got the matinee tickets. They were $6 each!

Her: I thought you said they'd be $5.

Me: (A combination of death stare and exasperation)

UGH THIS SO MUCH.  I need to rant here, but feel free to skip the wall of text if you want:   

We just added on a bathroom to our house.  Got an estimate from a plumber in SEPTEMBER, and told him then that we wanted to start right after the holidays/New Years so he'd have time to schedule us.  He said that was fine.  The work also involved building a wall, laying some tile and trim, and sheetrock type work so he suggested a contractor to use for that  (plumber just plumbs).  First of the year comes and I call the plumber: "Hey when you coming?"  I get the runaround about his start date.  Call the contractor and ask him the same and he says "Be there Monday".  Contractor shows up Monday and builds the wall, does everything he can up to a point where it's plumber's turn.  Plumber takes 3 weeks to show up to bust up the floor and lays the drains.  Still needs to run water lines in wall/attic, and trench the yard to lay sewer drain. Contractor gets right back to work and finishes all his inside work.    

Plumber then dodges me for 6 weeks (w/ me calling him every 3 days along the way) - and then finally calls me and says "man I'm so behind on other work, I'm not going to be able to get to you for another month at least".  If it's going to take you ten weeks to get to me, then tell me that SIX WEEKS AGO you ####### #### ####### ##############. 

I started calling 5 other plumbers to see if anyone else could come faster to finish the job.  One told me he wouldn't finish a job that someone else started, sorry.  The other four said "well let me come take a look at it and see what the job is and give an estimate".  I set up all 4 for an estimate on the same day, and I TOOK OFF WORK THE WHOLE DAY to be here with them.  NOT ONE OF THESE ######S SHOWED UP.  Called them back and got the standard line "sorry, I got stuck on another job, I'll try and make it out there tomorrow/next week/Friday".  

Original plumber ended up showing up on Week 10 of 10, and informed me "well now I have to call before I dig the yard trench, so gas/water/sewer/electric can all be marked first, so that'll take another week.  So call and let me know when all that's done and then we'll come dig".  LIKE THAT COULDN'T HAVE BEEN DONE PRIOR TO WEEK FREAKING 10? 

Everything gets marked by the end of that week.  I call and tell him he says "great, we'll be there next week, not sure what day yet".  Never shows up the next week. At this point I'm done calling and chasing him.  Just gonna wait and see how long it actually takes him to finish the job on his own without prodding from me.  The next week comes and goes, nothing.  Finally he drags up the next Tuesday, calls me from my own yard and says "man, you must have cut the grass, I can't see the markings in the yard, I'm going to need to get this re-marked because if I get caught digging without markings that's a big fine".   Well yeah numbnuts, I've cut the grass twice since it got marked because it was weeks ago. If you'd have shown up when you said you would it'd have been marked.  I didn't know when you were coming but I'm not letting my yard grow up knee high just waiting for you...

Takes another 3 days to get re-marked (Friday now).  I text him a pic of the markings that afternoon and just said "Your move".   He shows up Monday morning with an excavator, takes him a little over 3 hours to dig the trench, lay the drains, bury the lines, smoothe it all out, etc (according to my neighbor who watched him all day out her window, lol).  Meanwhile his second guy goes inside the house and makes the final tie-ins in the attic and installs the valves/flanges for the toilet/sink while first guy is digging.  They're done in less than 4 hours, and they leave.  He calls me at work and says "we're done, just finished and left, everything is ready for you to set fixtures."    YOU MEAN TO TELL ME I'VE BEEN WAITING 13 WEEKS FOR YOU TO FINISH FOUR FREAKING HOURS OF WORK?

We got the estimate in September, asked for an early January start, and the job finally gets finished on May 6. Is it a #### move on my part if I make him wait 4 months to get paid just like I had to wait?  /rant

I'm standing there like Fry saying "take my money", and get put on the pay no mind list.  Landscapers can be tough to work with too if you have a one-off project.

this is the problem though. these guys severely lack in the communication department. it's all one-sided. they don't give a #### to keep potential clients interested.. they just don't respond. 

buddy, if we've agreed your estimate is solid, i contract with you to do the work, it's good work completed without a lot of headaches..  chances are i'm calling you again and referring you to other people i know. 

but if you stiff me for weeks or months and act like you don't give a #### then your business card goes in the trash and i'm telling people not to bother calling you down the road.

every connection counts when your paycheck relies on reputation and word of mouth in the community.
