Exactly. And at the very least, you should back in if others don't. Because when it's time to pull out and cars are stacked up in your aisle, you just pull forward a couple feet and merge. But if you have to back out of the space, you have to rely on the graciousness of someone stopping and leaving an entire car length open so you can back out. And people start losing that graciousness when there are 5-10 cars trying to back out of spaces in that aisle.
As an aside, I've had season tickets for a while and I've pretty much perfected the optimal path for getting out of the stadium lot and through side streets to avoid traffic on the return trip. I probably spent way to much time on the analysis, but in my mind, it's worth it.
