Yeah, it’s crazy that they are allowing Joe to pick his own coaching staffSo wait? After that ####show of in game managing, Jed and Theo are going to allow Joe to pick the sacrificial lamb?
Big fan of Chuck. He was one of the only things worth watching on some very bad Giants teams in the early 80s.Welcome to Chicago, Chili Davis.
Johnnie LeMaster and Marc Hill didn't excite you?Big fan of Chuck. He was one of the only things worth watching on some very bad Giants teams in the early 80s.
Keep Jake, sign Cobb, sign Morrow to close. Add another bullpen guyKeep Jake? Go after Cobb? Both? Trade for Britton or re-sign Wade? If they can get Wilson back on track the bullpen might be ok. Maybe?
Two post-seasons in a row where Joe felt like he could only trust one guy.
Jake to the Nats is Boris pushing his agendaSmyly. Morrow. Are they addressing the pitching problem or trying to get a head start on manipulating the 10 day DL?
Cobb next?
Jake to the Nats doesn’t feel right. I was hoping he went to an AL team.
Cubs are not trading for himEnough is enough with the Machado nonsense. Am I wrong to not want them to pursue this guy? What’s the point?
Meh. I'd rather just let Almora play every day.Bruce Levine says the Cubs have a three year offer to Lorenzo Cain.
I would, too. He's earned it. The potential Cain signing makes me think Almora might be part of a trade package. Maybe for Archer, or Gerritt Cole.Meh. I'd rather just let Almora play every day.
Nowhere for Almora to play in TB, left I guess? In division Ace trade? Rare. I'd prefer the Cubs just make the best offer for one of Yu or Jake.I would, too. He's earned it. The potential Cain signing makes me think Almora might be part of a trade package. Maybe for Archer, or Gerritt Cole.

One of Harry's closest friends was a man named Pete Vonachen, a Peoria businessman who owned the Cubs minor league affiliate in that town. He gave the eulogy at Harry's funeral.Anniversary of death is Sunday.
Hard to take one of the best defenders in the game off the field, but from what I've seen Baez hasn't changed his approach at the plate much.Happ has to start at 2b right?
bat looks legit
Oh yeah, what I'm I thinkingHard to take one of the best defenders in the game off the field, but from what I've seen Baez hasn't changed his approach at the plate much.
Happ can play everywhere though. Start him in center against righties. Left or right against lefties. Second against guys that will make Baez look silly at the plate. Good problem to have.
I've been listening to the audio of spring training games on mlb.tv.Wrigley said:Oh yeah, what I'm I thinking

29 year old who’s never sniffed the majors?Ryan Court, another Bryan LaHair, or is there something cooking?
He has a Ben Zobrist kind of vibe about him, which Maddon can certainly appreciate.29 year old who’s never sniffed the majors?
