Footballguy
Our definitions are far different. This is simply not true. Smartest guy in the room types don't spend half the time Chip does going outside of football/tradition to get ideas about how to make things better. The guy listens to and takes ideas from anywhere and everywhere. What is true is that is that he's rejected a lot of ideas/philosophies that have been around in the NFL for a long time in favor of some new ones, and perhaps a few of those ideas should have been kept. The question is: will he later reject new ideas that are failing and maybe go back to a few old/traditional NFL ideas that he's rejected so far?Chip has always been the "smartest guy in tge room" type. He's a great coach, but that will be his downfall.
