Chip Kelly's status with the Eagles (1 Viewer)

Chip has always been the "smartest guy in tge room" type. He's a great coach, but that will be his downfall.
This is simply not true. Smartest guy in the room types don't spend half the time Chip does going outside of football/tradition to get ideas about how to make things better. The guy listens to and takes ideas from anywhere and everywhere. What is true is that is that he's rejected a lot of ideas/philosophies that have been around in the NFL for a long time in favor of some new ones, and perhaps a few of those ideas should have been kept. The question is: will he later reject new ideas that are failing and maybe go back to a few old/traditional NFL ideas that he's rejected so far?
Our definitions are far different.

Apparently, but my point stands. Kelly is not a guy afraid to seek advice/ideas and follow it. He is not a know-it-all. The question now is can he flip on an earlier idea/decision. Andy couldn't...we don't know on Chip yet.

Can't help but think this is a ripple of the handling of DJax last offseason. I don't really like Kelly's style. I get the idea that more offensive snaps = more points = more wins but ball control has always been a huge key for success in the NFL. The talent deferential is too minimal to try and grind a defense out like has happened. I think Kelly is a smart offensive mind but he's made some questionable decisions in the limited number of games I've watched the Eagles play. Specifically the game where McCoy was on fire in the first half and then Sanchez threw the game away in the 2nd half. I don't think someone given the onus of genius does things like that.
Bingo.Ball control is why the Cowboys are in and the a Eagles are out.
Health is why the Cowboys are in and the Eagles are out.
If the Cowboys had to start Weeden over the same period of time the Eagles had to start Sanchize, I suspect the Cowboys record would be much worse then it is.
Foles eats a bag of #####. Cowboys would have beaten you with that scrub and will twice next year so as long as you trot out that offense.

I'm sure Eagles fans are just terrified of this.
