I like how this page gets more attention when Marshawn ends his holdout than one of Marshawn's pages.
there isnt anything to talk about with lynch... other than he's back and he's back early enough in camp that you should be able to draft him with confidence as a RB1....

Not right now. But next year may be different. I think this foregone conclusion that Lynch is gone no matter what after 2014 is premature.

5 days, wow.

Lined up wide and made a pretty good catch. Some lack of awareness ending the play without being touched. Then a sweet run to the goal line.

lol Michael is a stud just waiting to be unleashed. The only concern is durability. Good chance he pushes for 150+ touches "this" year. They are going to want to keep Lynch fresh. He could be a flex play this year.

Yeah I doubt he goes from nothing to 150 touches if Lynch stays healthy. Why mess with a winning streak?
Because Lynch is washed up/retired, Michael is a god. NFL teams move away from successful starting RBs who rush for 1200+ and 10+ for three straight years for unproven young players all the time. Lynch will get benched by week 1 and Michael will see 15-20+ touches a game. You don't see the logic?

Lynch was wearing down a little bit down the stretch of games last year. They might want to keep him fresh for the playoffs.
Multiple 100 yard rushing games in the playoffs is wearing down?
Last 6 games of the regular season he only averaged over 4.0 yards a carry in one of them.

Lynch ran for tons of yards in the playoffs last year. I think people are underestimating Lynch big time. He's still probably in the TOP 5 of NFL running backs.

Lynch will be beast mode until he's not. I trying to remember what game it was but Lynch took a big shot in a game and he was spitting blood on the sidelines. I remember saying wow that hurt him. I could see it in his demeanor. He still went out there and kept playing so maybe I'm reading to much into it but those were my thoughts when I watched him. He scored a TD on the play I think. It might have been in the Minny game which would correlate perfectly with his drop in efficiency after that game.

He looked like he wore down during the season.
During that stretch he also faced 4 of the top 7 and 5 of the top 12 rush defenses according to yards per carry.

Then he rushes for 5 YPC in each of the first 2 playoff games including a rematch with the 49ers good run D and he "wore down."

He had some good games in the playoffs. No argument from me there but yes I think he was showing signs of wearing down. He did play some tough defenses so other people may interpreted it differently but watching him play those games to he didn't seem to have the same zest for contact imo......

The creature is loose.

Turd Bin looking over his shoulder. :scared:
Ya shaking in his boots after getting the start and Michael going for 2.3 YPC and fumbling. Not to mention still showing he's a far inferior pass blocker. Depth chart hasn't changed and the trolling hasn't changed. Michaels stock has been coming down and you guys are terrified now you didn't cash out when the price was highest. People are realizing that Seattle likes Turbin just as much if not more than Michael.

LOL man Roto trolling everybody tonight.

Christine Michael came off the bench behind Robert Turbin in Seattle's preseason opener against the Broncos, rushing seven times for 16 yards and a touchdown.
He added three catches for an additional 12 yards. Michael didn't get his first touch until midway through Seattle's second series, but capped it off with a one-yard touchdown where he displayed impressive second effort. The score came with Russell Wilson and the first-team offense still on the field. Michael's numbers didn't jump off the page tonight, but he looked like he was shot out of a cannon on his long gain of eight in the second quarter. The Seahawks are making Michael earn his promotion over Turbin, but we fully expect him to do so. He remains Marshawn Lynch's recommended handcuff.
LOL I own Michael and love him but yeah he wasn't great tonight. Roto doesn't mention any of the bad plays. lolololol

Turbin was 4 for 5.

Turbin was terrible too but he didn't fumble and I don't think he was flagged for a chop block protecting the QB.

You guys make it hard not to think of him as the new David Wilson
I didn't see him play tonight but that's an awful stat line.
in 100 words or less, tell me why ANY statline matters in week 1 of preseason. ready...........go
Colston

Boldin

Stephen Davis
definitely not good enough.
Dude stop. Youre pissing all over the lid.

You guys make it hard not to think of him as the new David Wilson
Look up all the pictures you can find of him. Let me know if he looks like Frank Gore or David Wilson.
Of all people, you choose to tell me about David Wilson :lmao: I don't think I need a picture to figure that out. I wasn't speaking of his stature, nor his talent. The FF community has ignored every red-flag and place unrealistic expectations on him. It's bad. Lynch is a lock to get hurt? A budding HoF potential RB in his prime is going to to lose 150-200 touches? Lynch was going to leave so much money on the table and retire? I don't know what to tell you guys.

Pre- Season statline that mattered: minus three yards!

http://ftw.usatoday.com/2013/08/terrell-davis-chili-dog

That one play changed his life.

Davis raced down field to cover a kickoff, and hit San Francisco returner Tyronne Drakeford so hard that Drakeford flew back three yards.

Ive since heard or seen other angles, but watchin it live, Id say Davis earned his job.

Its pre-Season , and all scripted vanilla plays, but it doesn't matter to Coach's They see the same bad/good plays that we will see..

Now imho as far as Michael, Im not exactly sure I agree w calling foul on potentially saving his QB from being planted in a pre-Season game. But since he is somewhat known for having issues w passblock, I guess it is what it is..(fwiw Im pretty sure I have seen true vets called for such type play)

I believe Christine will be 24 this Season, hopefully hes ready soon, if he isn't already..

If you actually watched the game Michael's fumble looked more like bad luck. He fundamentally was sound; two hands on the ball, getting low, knee nearly hit the ground at the same time the ball came out, etc. The guy tackling him just got lower and hit the ball. There will be people who just see the stat line and the fumble, but anyone watching the game noticed the difference when Michael had the ball vs. Turbin. It's also worth mentioning this is roughly the same defense that held Marshawn Lynch to a line of 15/39/1 which is a 2.6 YPC so the 2.3 YPC doesn't really feel concerning to me.

... but anyone watching the game noticed the difference when Michael had the ball vs. Turbin.
:goodposting:

I keep hoping to see some sign that Turbin can be a competent starter, but I'm just not seeing it. I haven't seen the explosion yet.

This thread is a great example of people fitting the data to support their hypothesis instead of modifying their hypothesis to fit the data.
