***Chuck*** thread (1 Viewer)

It's a fun show IMO. It's fairly predictable and not very deep at all, but it's a nice fun show that you can flip on and kind of zone out while watching.

And Captain Awesome is awesome.

This show is a great escape show. Good looking women, a guy that those of us who tend towards the geeky side can relate too.

Anyone happen to catch that they used Marshall from Alias as a bad guy. It was hard for me to see him as a bad guy because he was such a dork on alias

Looks like Rachel Bilson will have a reoccurring role

Reminds me of an 80s show - Knight Rider, Riptide, Vegas, Magnum. Far from believable but likable characters and a flippant attitude.

In the first couple episodes they did whatever it took to show Sarah in as little clothes as possible. Now, not so much. I'm more than a little upset by this trend.

As for the possibility of Rachel returning, executive producer Josh Schwartz tells me, "Rachel Bilson, right now, is only scheduled to do two episodes. [but] she had a really great time. I think at first she was like, 'Oh, I don't know, I just got out of a TV series.' But maybe we could lure her back."http://www.eonline.com/gossip/kristin/deta...sid=fd-hot2-txt

I have really enjoyed the hottie of the week so far though.

Keen observation and a :football: The way the first two episodes were going, I figured we'd be seeing an orgy of 8 or 9 of them, or at least nip by episode 4 at the latest.

They did get back to showing her in not much last night when they "slept together"

By the way, depending on the writers strike my guess is that Sarah decides that she does like Chuck and either as she tells him or just before she tells him, in walks Bryce

I wonder if they are looking for scab writers....

eta - the depending on the writers strike comment is regarding how much has already been written and whether it comes back after the strike

I assume she already knows that she likes Chuck (hence the "trained to lie under Pentethol" line). Bryce reappearing, however, I could definitely see, despite seeing him bite it on camera.

Preview had a shot of what looked like an open coffin with frost vapors coming out of it--cryogenic Bryce?

I missed the first few eps of Journeyman, switching to MNF at 10pm. Wish I hadn't now. The last two episodes have been solid enough, and the continuing story arc (brother-in-law conflict) is being handled well.

It looks like this is where they are heading to me. Before Mr. Awesome called Sarah she appeared to be tearing up from the "break up".Overall the show is somewhat predictable, but still entertaining. I haven't checked the ratings though, I hope they're holding up.

Just spotted this:

Chuck Spies Full-Season PickupNBC has ordered a full season of its freshman spy series Chuck, giving a green light to the final nine episodes of the first season, Variety reported. The order was among the first for the network, which is currently seeing the effects of the ongoing writers' strike. Chuck, starring Zachary Levi as a big-box-store computer geek who's accidentally implanted with government secrets, has posted the best numbers among all of NBC's new shows. To date, Chuck has averaged a 3.4 rating/9 share among adults 18-49. The show also stars Adam Baldwin, Yvonne Strahovski, Joshua Gomez and Sarah Lancaster. There's no word yet on orders for NBC's other freshman SF series, Bionic Woman and Journeyman. Chuck airs Mondays at 8 p.m. (NBC is owned by NBC Universal, which also owns SCIFI.COM.)
 The series is still incredibly cheesy, but this show has seriously grown on me. I'd put it as my #1 guilty pleasure show on TV right now.

I like the choices the show's producers make in the background music for most scenes. Enjoyed Pop Levi's Sugar Assault Me Now during the shoot-em-up scene in the Buy More last night.

It's cheesy but in a good way. I've gone from "guilty pleassure" to "my favorite show on TV right now" with LOST still on hiatus. Love it.

This show reminds me somewhat of Las Vegas back when it was in the Monday night timeslot. Nothing but guilty pleasure brain candy, but it's fun to watch no matter what.

The geek references they make are hilarious sometimes. I downloaded some episodes off nbc.com this past weekend and the Dune "Shai Hulud" costume from the halloween episode had me cracking up. "Sandworm! Sandworm!"

Was hoping Bryce would come back as a bad guy, I thought that would make if much more interesting if there was some constant nemesis to deal with. The will they / won't they dynamic they've built with Chuck and Sarah can get old in tv shows pretty quickly.

Strangely, this is the only show I really miss due to the writer's strike.
We've got 2 more episodes to be aired for a little good news there. But I did read some rumors that there might be some issues once the strike is resolved in getting back all the principles. Hopefully that is just a rumor because otherwise that would seriously suck.

Sweet! I thought they were all done.Do you know when the air date will be?

Looking at IMDB none of the main regulars seem to have any other commitments

Had to remember where I saw it
NBC announced that it will broadcast what are likely the final two original first-season episodes of its hit SF series Chuck on Jan. 24 at 8 and 10 p.m., sandwiched around a new episode of The Celebrity Apprentice at 9.

The series has not aired any new episodes for a while because of the ongoing writers' strike, and the show's original Monday 8 p.m. timeslot is now occupied by American Gladiators. The two new episodes are the last that have been produced.

NBC ordered nine additional episodes to fill out the show's first season, but production of those must await resolution of the strike.

:lmao:Enjoyed the show last night.. Some of the commercials promoting both episodes were pretty good also.. Oh to be the "Chuck" in the Chuck sandwich :lmao:

Caught this for the first time in a long while. I have only two thoughts.

Yvonne Strahovski is beyond hot.

Yvonne Strahovski is beyond hot.

That is all.

gb last nights episode, Sarah was looking hot in every scene she was in and I loved her nerd herd outfit.

you mean this and this and this?
only reason I watch. ;)
Sarah is hot. Plain, pure, and simple. Smoking hot.But no one on here thinks Jordana Brewster is hot?

Poor Chuck gets to hop in a shower with Sarah and then have a make out session with Jill.

Tough job for him
