Cleveland Browns (6 Viewers)

Jesus H the guys at WKNR are panicking about Tampa jumping the Browns for Richardson.

"IF THAT HAPPENS YOU HAVE TO MOVE UP!"

Nothing like a panic move the morning of the draft due to rumors!

@AdamSchefter

Teams open to trading back for the right offer include Minnesota, Tampa Bay, Miami, Seattle, Dallas, NY Jets, Detroit.

@AdamSchefter

Teams open to trading up if right player is there include Jacksonville, Buffalo, Philadelphia, San Diego, New England, Green Bay.
Looks like TB wants to go back, not up.

Well, I'll end my work day on that good news (certainly better than reading about TB moving to #3 all day) from Scheff.

Hope we all come away happy tonight! See ya later!

off to the States to grab some wings.

Unless Im detained for being way too handsome, Ill be back in an hour or so, fapping all over the forum until draft time

I disagree with the details of Jim Brown's comments, but the last part is interesting. Richardson sat behind Mark Ingram (even though he was arguably better). Ingram ended last year with almost 500 yards and averaged under 4 yards per carry.

I'm not saying Richardson won't be good, I just think you can have an effective running game without drafting a RB in the top 10.

The Browns have had a 1,000 yard rusher in 4 of the past 7 seasons (3 different players). If Hillis wasn't hurt last year and Harrison had been able to start 1 more game in 2009, we would probably have 6 of the past 7 seasons with 4 different rushers. The Browns can field an effective rushing game without Richardson, but I don't think they can field an effective passing game with projects like Stephen Hill or some of the other WRs available later in the draft. They need to land either Justin Blackmon or Michael Floyd, and it wouldn't hurt to get a really good TE. It also wouldn't hurt to draft Ryan Broyles in the 3rd or 4th round to play the #3 WR spot.

I won't hate the pick if it's Richardson, but I think they should get Blackmon or Floyd and then Doug Martin.

OK, last minute guesses everyone!

i'm going with... trade down.

sorry folks, the lack of a clear cut pick here means Heckert goes for the most value which means trading down a few spots and going BPA.

on the plus side, this will give them more picks to move up from the #22 and #37 to get the guys they really like later on.

I want to see Richardson, but my gut is telling me Claiborne. Having said that, I missed lunch and my gut is telling me to get to B-dubs. Either way, I'll be happy. <Just say no to Tannehill at 4>

wish i could join you. if it makes you feel any better, i really doubt they were ever looking at Tannehill at 4.

Richardson or

Claiborne

WR whoever is best available

Weeden

Can't see them trading down unless Richardson is gone and someone overpays for the rights to Claiborne. Wouldn't be against a trade down if it kept us in the top 10, don't want to drop any further than that.

HO HO HO IT'S CHRISTMAS BABY!!!!!

GO DAWGS

:excited: :excited: :excited: :excited: :excited: :excited: :excited: :excited:

It would suck if the Bucs hop over us to get Richardson, but if that was to happen I wouldn't hate it if we traded down to 10 with Buffalo.

10) Michael Floyd

22) Doug Martin

37) Coby Fleener

41) (from Bills) Bobby Massie

Tell me THAT wouldn't give Colt weapons.

Plus, we should receive a little more from Buffalo for a 6 spot jump.

ETA: Got this from the scuttlebutt this morning I'm hearing about the Bills wanting to come up for Kalil. Plus they would have to to grab him if Minnesota moves to 5.
What's better than a 6'6", 244lb TE from Stanford with great hands? A 6'6", 250lb TE from Stanford with great hands.

I agree.I think Minnesota grabs Claiborne or trades down, and then Buffalo phones Heckert and a deal is made.

If Minnesota sits pat and drafts Kalil, then I still think Claiborne is the pick. I'll be happy with Richardson or Claiborne. Obviously, Richardson is the sexier pick.

Wow, didn't realize that. Uncanny. Cool observation.Coby Fleener had a 4.46 40, Moore ran 4.67.

Browns trade up to 3. Cost is 4th, 5th, 7th. Utter panic move by Heckert. I don't think anyone else was going to trade up to get Richardson

Better hope Heckert makes some moves back into the 1st/2nd round... I guess it's good we kept our 3rd rounder.

:lmao: Relax guy. Losing a 3rd round pick to get your guy is not bad. Still have 12 picks and 2 in the 4th.

I sincerely hope it is Richardson and not some crazy other pick.

Watch us trade the 3 back down with Buffalo so they can take Kalil.

Actually that would make me :lmao:

Great trade guys. Obviously Tampa Bay was trying to move up too. Your team has a guy that they really want. I"m assuming it's Richardson and if thats true, you guys have got a stud coming to you. Get a RT, and get Colt some more weapons, and the Browns are suddenly fun to watch perhaps!

this is why I made the effort to get the day off to watch my first ever draft!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

celebrate Browns fans!

This is a BIG day

That's a fine trade. Only one 4th...the one from Atl.

Good trade for Min...they could have been asking for a 2nd or 3rd from TB, who they really didn't want to trade with.

I'm excited if it is Richardson and now nervous about 22.

Nervous because I want a great player to be there.

Please let there be a run on DB's and D line.

It moved when I heard about the trade, ecstatic about the trade. Seemed like a lot but when you look at it we had the picks to give and what we gave was dreck anyhow.

WELCOME TO CLEVELAND TRENT!!!!!!!

If you don't like this trade, then you either don't like Trent Richardson or you're one of those people who ##### just to #####.

It wasn't much to give up.
