Yes, I was going to ask ctsu if he'd do 1st and 3rd since he was all over the 1st and 2nd, but then assumed the value wouldn't be there so I didn't ask.Isn't 60 at the tail end of the 2nd Rd.?

Sounds like the league is just lazy and doesnt want to try and figure it out.
Also been saying this for a a few years now.......The NFL should look into having TWO bye weeks. They could be more flexible with the scheduling, teams would probably appreciate it, and of course the major benefit for the NFL is MORE MONEY!!!!!. That's an entire extra week of thursday night, sunday night, and monday night games. Not to mention just the regular sunday prime time spots at 1 and 4. So much more TV money this way, and I can't think of one single downside to it. Can anyone of you?? Seriously would like to know if there is a downside.

Not me. I really like the picks we have in this draft. Eventually we have to quit moving back for more picks and use the ones we have for impact players.The better aim you have, the better......................
Yeah I would be thrilled to get 27/60 for pick 19. Doesnt seem like a very likely deal though, but stranger things have happened.

If we had traded back from every 1st round pick we had the past 10 years, our team would be 10x better than it is now.

Agree w/ everything here, though maybe keep the #19 and BPA. I do not want to dump 2 1st rounders (plus probably more) to take a risk on a qb.

While ESPN's Paul Kuharsky refutes that a trade offer was even made, those picks might not be enough to make a deal happen, and Cleveland may need to offer even more to grab the second selection. To me, Farmer's statement about building a house with a hammer & nails means that you can't make a team great overnight.
If you can't make a team great overnight, you don't trade up for one player. It might also mean, the foundation (the lines) comes first. Either way, I don't expect them to trade up to #2.

I doubt Tampa would trade him. He's a decent inexpensive Qb and those are hard to come by.
You think they really want to put Seth Lobato out there as their backup? I don't.

Approaching this from another angle: WHO I DON'T WANT...
1. Any player who won't try to outwork his opponents. If you think you can throw on the pads & jersey and win games in the NFL, you're delusional.

2. A QB that can't throw, a WR that can't catch, a defender that can't tackle. You get the gist -- No Perriman.

3. Sammy Watkins. Huh??? People are still whining about him. He wasn't close to being the White Knight who saved Buffalo. If he played in Cleveland, we'd have won the same number of games. Get off your emotional high horse and check out his stats. Add the best WR of 2015 rookies to the Browns and we still need a ton of talent.

I wonder. Most people have him going second. Doesn't that mean he's projected to be a star? If so, shouldn't we be pursuing him? Would he be #1 overall if Winston stayed in school?

He is a projection, which makes many uneasy. I think those against it don't think he has a high floor. I think they're completely wrong. Will he hit his ceiling? Or come close to it?
He has the mental makeup and approach to realistically think he could. However, if he doesn't develop? He will still be at worst average. He isn't going to flat out bust.

I think it's more probable of a move than trading up to #2.
What I will have a huge problem with is if the deal is simply Bradford for #12. Obviously the Eagles are doing this to move up to #2. Makes no sense for us to settle like this.

Giving up a first round pick for one year of Bradford (and let's face it, it could very well be less than one year with him) would be a horrific decision. Bradford has said he will not sign an extension with any team except for Philadelphia. Perhaps that's a bluff, but if they make that trade before signing him to an extension Farmer will show just how overmatched he is.

I hate Johnny more than anyone, and Mccown's name appropriately rhymes with clown, but I want this:
- Draft at pick 12, there will be nice players there
- trade pick 19 for ideally a 2nd this year and 2016 1st
Go with Mccown week 1 unless Johnny beats him out. Put Johnny in by week 4 and just see what happens. 0-16??? So be it. Qb next year I guess, to go with the picks we are about to have plus a later 1st next year from trading pick 19 this year.
Or maybe Johnny doesnt suck. Longshot, but in either scenario I am happy

Browns take Gordon OR Gurley at 19 and I am officially done being a fan.
I've gone through plenty in 30+ years, and that'd just be the last straw. SO SO SO many players that can help us in positions of need (get a damn o-lineman, or whatever), but taking an RB when we have 2 VERY capable ones, and one potential stud.. and that's it.
People #### all over the Browns, but forget that we were 7-9 last season, with the worst 1-2 QB combo in.... forever? toss in a few more pieces, or hell, move UP for mariota... give yourself a shot at a damn winning season.

I'll watch the NFL as a fairweather fan and try to just enjoy whoever is playing, as opposed to watching the same team I have my entire life.
There's only so much I can take... and we're way better than ppl give us credit for. taking a RB at 19 sets us back HUGE. when taking a position of need sets us a step ahead.

My opinion is the RB rumors are coming from the Browns trying to get teams to jump ahead of 12 or 19 to draft their coveted RB, or possibly to call us. We need players to fall especially with these boneheads getting busted and dropping way down or out of the draft.

No. The child stuff aside he is a guy a win now team makes. Not us. I am wary he's on the down slope anyway. Gurley at 19 would be a good option but I think he gets picked sooner.

hey, you can't blame a Browns fan for already thinking we are playing for next year before the season even starts.
my other problem with that line of thinking is that every year we hear the same thing: NEXT year's rookie class is SO MUCH BETTER!!!
i'm so sick of that one.
i'm not saying that occasionally trading back to pick up extra picks is a bad thing, but to act like 2016 is this magical draft that we need to compile picks for is silly.
