Colin Cowherd Reporting (1 Viewer)

I'm only listening right now because I like his NFL analysts which generally pop up once an hour this time of year. During the off-season though, I'm likely listening to something else.

I find Cowherd pretty entertaining. Of course, I don't take him or really anyone for that matter as serious as a lot of you. What other talk radio is entertaining between the hours of 10 and 1?

In SoCal and in markets where Yahoo Sports Radio is available (anywhere???), Travis Rogers has a good show. I can also tolerate Jay Mohr in small doses.

Thanks. I'll give him a shot tomorrow, but he talks a lot about baseball, I'm out. I see on his sight that he's had a lot of baseball guests and I have no interest in baseball.

AM 830 from 6:00 to 10:00 am PST. The show is also available on ESPN Radio's website (even though the station is now affiliated with Yahoo Sports).

Ya, it's the Angels flagship station so a lot of baseball talk... it's a lot less though when the Angels are out of it.

For those who haven't heard him, he's basically a non-obnoxious version of Jim Rome (yes, it's possible). I think he worked on Rome's show for a long time before going off on his own. Apparently Rome is bitter towards Rogers now. Such a #####.

Groovus - you should be listening to Darrin Smith on the Mighty 1090 from noon to 3. Great Charger coverage.

I do when I can, when I'm driving around the reception can get iffy. Plus when it's not Charger season, I can't really take all the Padre talk - they're such a sadsack franchise.

Is this where we complain about someone who puts on a daily show as being "unlistenable" and "insufferable" because they said something annoying or were wrong about something?

How very original of you all.

You need to get the Tuned In app for your iPhone and stream the show from there.

Smith is fantastic, IMO.

Travis Rogers - name rings a bell. Wasn't he Jim Rome's producer for many years?

Ya, and there was a falling out at some point, apparently.

Shocking - given Rome likely being a class-A jerkwad.

I try to be a fan, being an ex-Gaucho like Rome and all, but it's really tough. Used to listen to him on a daily basis but no more.

Back to subject, I'm on the fence with Cowherd. He's no Skip Bayless but definitely not in the Dan Patrick range for me either.

I used to listen to an butt-ton of sports talk radio; not so much anymore. DP is by far my favorite right now.

One thing that Cowherd does that constantly annoys me because, from him, it is so predictable and he just harps on it, is that he insists on making comparisons of sports to dating advice. He will say something like, "The Cowboys are like that hot girl you dated in high school who went away to college..." or something insipid like that.

It would be quicker to list all of the non-stupid things he says.

I'm outta the loop on the whole Wall dance thing, what's the beef??
Wall did a dance as he was being introduced for his 1st ever game in the NBA

Cowherd didn't like it and said that Wall would never lead his team to a championship because doing the dance showed that Wall is all about Wall and would be a terrible teammate or some stupid bull#### very close to that

RN,Fran vs. Cowherd in a fight to the death.

Who do you have winning?

Who are you rooting for?

Definitely rooting for Mike. At least it's fun pointing out his wrongness all the time. There's nothing redeeming about CC.

Thanks. Figures an ESPN personality would run something like that into the ground. The fact that it's Cowerd makes it even less surpirsing.

Im with cowherd on that one
 What does it mean to be "with cowherd on that one?" Because doing a dance before your 1st pro game seems like a stupid thing for a sportscaster to get worked up about.
I think its what you call troll level: Grand Master

Look we all have schtick, its just that
But, his schtick isn't funny, compelling or entertaining, it's just annoying. Half the time he's just out and out whining.

I stopped listening a month ago when he screamed at a caller. He crossed the line at that point. There's no reason to ever listen to that imbecile again.

He's like the kid in school that was the principal's son; he would taunt and bait you until you were ready to beat the crap out of him, but he was the one whiny little ##### that was most untouchable.

I listen about 1-2x a week and sweet Christ it seems like every show he mentions working in Vegas, having connections and stupid innuendos. The single person format is past played out IMO and people just get tired of one person talking about themselves with nobody else with an opinion.

you have to be pretty desperate to hear somebody talk about sports to listen to this clown. the wall thing is beyond stupid. great svp response.

I actually like that part, but maybe that's because I can relate.

I loathe this human being. Worst of the worst. He's awful.
There was a time when I did not hate him (I think it was when him & Beadle were co-hosts). But he has just gotten worse and worse over the years & not having a co-host just magnifies his whiny tone.

Glad Cowturd is finally gone from ESPN but I have no doubts someone will put him back on the air and very soon.

Le Batard is the only one I can tolerate now from ESPN and it's only because of his interviews which are some of the best going.
