I think he's on my bench in the most important week of the season
Besides Cromartie, I don't see on what basis any of that is supposed to be a deterrent for starting Danario. Danario's stats in games played 3 time zones away from SD are spectacular, as are his numbers when SD is facing pressure DEFs on the road. No Malcolm Floyd could just as easily be to Danario's benefit as it could his detriment. Yes Danario put up a donut last week, but so far that's the outlier, not studly performances from him.
Again, obviously the Jets have one of the best pass defenses in the league which is a legitimate concern, but there's little evidence that any of that other stuff you mentioned are reasons for concern.
For me, Cromartie is enough. The other factors are additional intangibles that support the conclusion to bench him.
I'm not sure what evidence you'd want to go look for. Alexander doesn't have a long enough track record in the NFL to really study a lot of stats, so I've got to go on intangibles and gut.
I've personally seen Rivers blow up on the road (both in person and on TV) when the pressure gets to him many times. It gets ugly quickly when he does. Screaming on the sideline, erratic passes, etc. That's not a DX factor, it's a Rivers tendency.
The time zone thing could be minor, but generally means lower scoring. This game could be a 9-3 Jets victory.
I wouldn't be afraid to put him in my lineup if my other options were Golden Tate or Doug Baldwin, but I've got better alternatives, so I'm benching him.
