So I remember watching this movie in theaters when it came out but had not seen it in years. It's currently on HBO Go so I decided to watch it again. I had no idea how much the Wachowski siblings ripped off of this movie in the Matrix. Some of the shots are nearly identical and the prevailing themes mirror each other all the way through.

A quick google search afterwards let me know lots of people thought the same thing...

One of Roger Ebert's (and my) favorite movies. I saw the Ebert documentary this afternoon, so watching this tonight with his commentary track.

If you like this movie, I highly recommend the director's cut on blu ray. It's a better version of the film, and the special features include the Ebert commentary, a trivia track, and some historical pieces.
