And continuously throwing to Lynch's side of the field isn't terribly sporting.I'm not overly impressed with the Colts. They've abused one CB and some teams have better.

have another beerI'm not overly impressed with the Colts. They've abused one CB and some teams have better.
Jacksonville, Baltimore and New England had success shutting them down. Hmmm, only good DB's they faced?I'd say they've abused quite a few cornerbacks this year.I'm not overly impressed with the Colts. They've abused one CB and some teams have better.
Patriots = good DBs?It's the scheme, which the Broncos obviously haven't figured out.edit: The Pats game was during week one with a healthy Law and Poole, but success against Manning is still more reliant on the overall defensive scheme rather than a player or two. Pressure and confusion work just as well.Jacksonville, Baltimore and New England had success shutting them down. After the Colts score:Broncos: 258 yards, 17 points = 15.18 ypp.Colts: 483 yards, 42 points = 11.50 ypp.The Colts defensive efficiency on the season was 17.22, so at this point the Broncos offense is actually doing well.First half:Colts: 394/35 = 11.26 (keeps dropping)Broncos: 103/3 = 34.33Whoops! NEW numbers:Colts: 319 yards, 28 points = 11.39 yards per point. After the Broncos' FG:Colts: 279 yards, 21 points = 13.29 yards per point.Broncos: 107 yards, 3 points = 35.67 yards per point.

Manning threw for 1,093 yards in the four games against the teams you listed (an average of 273 yards a game) with 8 TDs. Points. Who cares about between the 20's. I'm an Eagles fan and see too much of big yards and no points from other teams. They played four games against those three teams. They played the Jaguars twice obviously. They went 2-2 in those games. They certainly didn't lose the Patriots' game because of Manning. They lost it because of Edge's fumble at the goal line. I don't think any team has "shut down" the Colts' offense. Some have done a better job of slowing them down a bit, but you're not going to shut this offense down. It's too good. It doesn't matter if you're impressed or not; the numbers don't lie. They lost 2 of the 3.Manning threw for 1,093 yards in the four games against the teams you listed (an average of 273 yards a game) with 8 TDs. Slider is on to something. The Broncos (with shut down CB Champ Bailey) held Peyton Manning to only 6 yards a week ago and won decidedly.
And Rock on the other side. I'm sure you know at least 21 points are on Rock. I think Manning is awesome and the Colts O is fine. I just think their D is average and they'll have trouble on the road against a good D. Slowing them down is all you have to do and put up some points. Putting up points is fairly easy if you slow them down. Pittsburgh can do that and NE probably will in 10 degree weather. We'll see....Slider is on to something. They'll probably fire another DC then draft a Safety.I sure hope the Broncos don't panic and get rid of Plummer. He's still got years left and has had only 2 years in the Denver system, this year without really any true playmakers.Next year with Tatum and Ashley maturing another season, I think this team can be dangerous. The Bailey trade wasn't just for one game against Indy, but for the long run. The Lynch signing was more for this season, and that didn't work out as well. But I'm optimistic about the Broncos' chances next season as long as they don't panic and change QBs for no good reason.
Really? So Manning didn't take a sack on the key play of the game which forced them out of FG range? Manning didn't also throw an INT in the red zone?? Look, I'm not saying that its all on Manning, but lets not relieve him of any responsibility for that loss either. They played four games against those three teams. #2, behind THE BernieDid Manning get close to any records for passing yards in a playoff game?
Denver D = #4 in the NFL this year. Which means one of two things:1. Denver has a good D, or 2. Yards/game is a stupid was to judge Ds. I can live with either explanation, but it is one or the otherWhy, because Manning's on pace to beat the Broncos by more than he did last year before choking in New England? Manning's always really good against bad Ds, especially indoors.again, admit it, you know these guys can beat your injured secondary next week.if troy brown and earthwind whatever are prominently involved, you guys are in trouble. There's nothing new about Manning beating up on bad Ds or Denver choking in the playoffs.
You must be the guy that sold the time machine to Uncle Rico in Napoleon Dynamite.I am from your future....and to HELL with the Prime Directive...
I'm telling you now EXACTLY how it's going to play out this weekend.
Yes...Indy will score quickly when they have the balll while Denver grinds it out on the ground....using only on rollouts and short passes when needed.
Denver will dominate in TOP but the score will stay close.
Denver's Secondary rises to the occasion...shutting down Manning in a "would be" game winning drive.
Don't miss it 21st Century Dwellers!![]()
This information SHOULD make money for at least ONE of you!
(hopefully...my great, great grandfather so he can start the family fortune)
Kenoy Kennedy = Idiot. It was clear from the first reception Wayne caught that they were fired up about the "soft" comments. If the Broncos make the playoffs next year (and Kennedy is still on the team) - make sure to apply duct tape on his mouth the week before their 1st round game.Indy will run up the score today just to show the Broncos how soft they really are.
Yeah, that was some call by mushu pork. You must be the guy that sold the time machine to Uncle Rico in Napoleon Dynamite.I am from your future....and to HELL with the Prime Directive...

Yeah, #2 behind Bernie Kosar who needed double OT to get 487yds. Six different players scored TDs for Indy but I can't find any information on if that is a record or not.Anyway, Manning stes the record for TD's in a season and shatters the QB rating record and now this and yet there are people out there posting "I'm not impressed" comments. Until Manning wins a SB those comments will continue.Did Manning get close to any records for passing yards in a playoff game?
I think most Colts fans will be thinking about the Pats this week - and will forget this win by the end of today, to be honest. If it wasn't for the "Soft" comments by Mark Kisla (and Kenoy Kennedy - though he didn't actually say soft), there would be little glee from this victory.I'm pretty sure that even the most avid Denver Homers knew that the Broncos and Jake Plummer could not come from behind....
There are 2 types of QB's..
1) Just get it into his hands and we'll win the game.
or
2) Don't fall behind...otherwise, we'll have to put it in our QB's hands and all will be lost..
EVERYONE knows which category Plummer falls into....EVERYONE...even Shanahan.
So, just becuase a Denver fan predicted a win...does not make him an arsehole..
HOWEVER...it is much easier to show your TRUE colors when your team (who is favored by 10 pts) actually wins the game and you spend the entire following week blasting the fans of the team you just beat.
I remember both Superbowls that Denver did win.
When the were the underdogs against Green Bay and they won...Fans had reason to be jubilant.
When they beat Atlanta...the Denver fans (around these parts anyway) were much quieter.
They told me that winning a game when your favored by THAT much was really an empty win.....
The conversation always goes back to the Superbowl when they beat Green Bay.
Win a game like that...then beat your chest.![]()
