DI Jukebox Draft (66-15)- Listen up (1 Viewer)

I'm probably a bad Sleater-Kinney fan because I like the less political songs best. This song is a pretty on the nose critique of disposable infotainment culture. But it rocks so ******* hard. Janet Weiss is a monster on the drums.

Sleater Kinney -- Entertain -- 2005

And for something a bit different, Stevie covers the Beatles

Stevie Wonder -- We Can Work It Out -- 1970

Words cannot express my hatred for that New Radicals song.
 Nice, you didn't disappoint. Not a fan either
It would be on my soundtrack in hell. I would choose that Train song and their ####ty lyrics on a 10hour loop over one full listen of that New Radicals song.

Huh, I guess words can express my hatred for it... ;)
Don't give up KP. You've got the dreamer in you.
You're all fakes, Run to your mansions

There's a good chance Tim might pick a Hanson song in the next few rounds.

I'm having a hard time sleeping at night thinking of what he may do with the late 70s. DEBBIE BOONE IS IN PLAY, PEOPLE!

It's boring for me also. Tennessee is the one that is haunting me for missing, with Wake Up a Close second. Tim had the worst song for me, I just can't remember what it was.

:bag: I kind of like it.

Sorry for holding things up while I slept. If I'm OTC early AM again, feel free to skip me.

I saw Train perform at a trade show. They put on a surprisingly strong show that was a lot more rock n roll than their records. I enjoyed their act. But the records man; it's hard to pick their worst. I'd probably go with Sweet Soul Sister.

What artist has been selected the most so far? I feel like 4-5 Outkast songs have been picked. At least 3 Marvin Gaye songs if not more.

There is one artist who has had 7 songs selected

Ill give people a chance to guess before posting who it is

9.10a - Enjoy Yourself - The Specials - 1980

9.10b - Shake it Up - The Cars - 1981

As kids we spent a ton of time at a rollerskating rink near my house. Parents would drop us all off and one of the "older" kids would "watch" us while the parents would go do God knows what. Probably would be considered a felony today. The Cars, Joan Jett, Romantics, J Geils all blasted while doing endless loops under disco balls in a superbly air conditioned building. It was great to get out of the scorching Central Valley summer heat. 1981 was a good year. I didn't get into The Specials until later. They weren't exactly mainstream radio in the early 80s in SoCal but their songs would be played in any bar I would own.

I said earlier that I was going to do a jukebox of only one of their songs that has been covered 3,000 times. But there were gaps in the years

Less surprising when you consider they're eligible for only a couple of years.

Not a great jukebox band IMO. I'm proud of you guys for not drafting anything by them.

actually moreso the lack of representation by Count Ferdinand.

I'll be in and out today, driving, meetings and masturbating to the LCD/Radiohead/Killers Wayhome headliners (apparently).
Where are you hearing this?? I'll be seeing LCD earlier in the summer but Radiohead might sway me to go to WayHome too.
Inforoo. A Toronto station said Arcade Fire/LCD/Killers but seems like it's Radiohead.
Wow, it is Arcade Fire.

We can draft/substitute up to 5 pre-1966 songs if we don't like some years from 66 to 2015.
