Yup, four a day is just too rushed, particularly with a three-day weekend coming up. I'd really like to us scale back to two for Friday through Monday and then see where we are.

Today doesn't seem rushed to me at all. I think there is more conversation when picks are made. Of course that is just my opinion. JML asked yesterday about if people who want four picks a day just want to make their picks or are they also adding commentary and listening to the songs, and I think that is a strange question coming from someone that lives on autoskip, and isn't here that much. I also notice that some that have fallen behind have been around over the last few days and have been posting in other threads, but just not posting in here. That's their choice.

I am only one drafter. There are 30+ of us. I make a point of commenting on a few picks every day and i am in this thread for at least an hour a day, but if we stick with 4 a day, i will make my picks, spend 2 minutes in the thread and #### off. Just like everyone else will. Happens every draft where we speed up so everyone can race to the finish

1989 was an incredible year for music *spotlighting*, *more spotlighting* covering a lot of different genres. Settled with Lovesong because the other band in contention has a song covered that I might take later. Is there an official moratorium on spotlighting until the draft is over?

That comment by Simey really bugs me.

I'm in the top half of posters commenting in this thread and the reason I'm on autoskip is a consideration one. If you want me to waste an hour for everyone of my picks when I'm not going to be here, then I'll do that if I choose to participate in future threads. I'm in this thread plenty comparatively, comment and listen to other songs.

Bono is the only one ever to put himself on a pedestal and treat people under him horribly.

Bono's lateness because he over commits to causes and issues is legendary. Bono and the Edge had a massive punch up for a Glasgow gig I went to. He was busy meeting/lecturing world leaders in Edinburgh about boring things like famine, aids etc and turned up to the gig late. Edge was not amused.

You have your issues with Bono, fine, but cast that same eye over others far less deserving.

I have to agree. I like GNR and Axl and Slash have never been known as saints nor punctual in Axl's case. I like Morrissey and have most of The Smiths and his solo work - but I hear he is an ##### to fans. Plenty of artists I own are dead due to drugs and just about every band that breaks up ever is due to someone's ego getting in the way. I still don't care, and Bono does more philanthropic and humanitarian work than the vast majority of artists.

I still don't get why people feel this is so rushed. It is not mandatory to listen to every pick as they are drafted. Every draft there is a handful of people who fall several rounds behind, no biggie.

I think the important thing is spreading out the picks to two a days. Doesn't matter much how many songs overall. I think what has killed drafts in the past is going on too long, or just doing one a day during the week. More likely people pop in during the am, drop a pick, and don't come back much. I think this draft has been great so far.

Dancing French Liberals of '48 are Scoob (RHE) inspired from the death of Mia Zapata and the Gits. This band cut a great album called Powerline in the wake of her death, and it was angry, raw, power/pop/blues punk and just wonderful. A legendary album. Tragedy bolstered art; but there was no need for it to be that way.

Don't be so temperamental, Johnny. My point was yes people who would like to do three or four picks a day want to make their picks, but also we are listening to other folks songs and commenting on things we want to. We also see that when some songs are picked it generates more conversation. I like the chit chat. We also see that when no songs are being picked there can be long lags of time that go by. Being that you are usually on autoskip, you aren't here a lot and don't see how much time can go by with nothing be said. Evidentally you also don't see that these people do add commentary and such. It surely isn't anything to take personal.
