I said I'm heading up to Asheville, gonna check in from my phone
but if Timmy snipes me, my whole draft will be blown
MGMT (the other song) just misses on mine, but love that at least one has been picked.12.10 Modest Mouse - The View (2004)
Gotta get some Modest Mouse in the juke. I like other songs from other years better but it just didn't work out. This is my favorite from Good News... I still haven't listened to the 2015 album but I have not heard good things
12.10 MGMT - Time to Pretend (2008)
Perhaps the sarcasm didn't translate well over the net. I have zero issues with him. In fact, unless you are purposefully harming people I don't have any sort of moral quandaries in regards to supporting/liking any musician.12.21b -

I am only one drafter. There are 30+ of us. I make a point of commenting on a few picks every day and i am in this thread for at least an hour a day, but if we stick with 4 a day, i will make my picks, spend 2 minutes in the thread and #### off. Just like everyone else will. Happens every draft where we speed up so everyone can race to the finishToday doesn't seem rushed to me at all. I think there is more conversation when picks are made. Of course that is just my opinion. JML asked yesterday about if people who want four picks a day just want to make their picks or are they also adding commentary and listening to the songs, and I think that is a strange question coming from someone that lives on autoskip, and isn't here that much. I also notice that some that have fallen behind have been around over the last few days and have been posting in other threads, but just not posting in here. That's their choice.Yup, four a day is just too rushed, particularly with a three-day weekend coming up. I'd really like to us scale back to two for Friday through Monday and then see where we are.![]()

Wow. Really like your list. Crash was a high pick for me in 88, but I've got another one over it.Some of my favorites.
13.10a - Crash - The Primitives - 1988
13.10b - Lovesong - The Cure - 1989
1989 was an incredible year for music *spotlighting*, *more spotlighting* covering a lot of different genres. Settled with Lovesong because the other band in contention has a song covered that I might take later. Is there an official moratorium on spotlighting until the draft is over?
Its the way he treats people around him or "under" him also. I have no use for people like that. Remember when that guy sang his part in the Christmas song because he was like four hours late? He was such a biotch. My man Win is always out in the crowd, thanking everyone, and raising $$ for Hati. Other then stealing that guys basketball ;-) he's a saint.Great pick, but this narrative about Bono bugs me.What major rock star or sports star isnt arrogant?12.21b - Where the Streets Have No Name - U2 - 1987

Mick Jagger, John Lennon, Michael Jordan etc
Bono raises a lot of money to help SICK and DYING people all over the world, has the ear of world leaders and does something about issues that most people close their eyes and wish wasnt true. He has seen these on the front line and used his fame for a lot of bloody good. But hey he wears ####### sunglasses.
You're a monster, simey.

Nice with the Layla pick. I have always liked that song but for whatever reason I don't seem to own it. That will be remedied shortly. One of the most glorious songs of all time. Surprised it hasn't been picked yet.

Staggeringly beautiful song. I won't be picking anymore 70s records for a while just so I can get my lean years out of the way, but this one was definitely in my sights. One of the most glorious songs of all time. Surprised it hasn't been picked yet.

Funny thing is it's only a comment a female can make. Totally innocuous comment, but did just enough to get under my skin and now I can't think of bloody anything else. It's an art form really. You're a monster, simey.
I have to agree. I like GNR and Axl and Slash have never been known as saints nor punctual in Axl's case. I like Morrissey and have most of The Smiths and his solo work - but I hear he is an ##### to fans. Plenty of artists I own are dead due to drugs and just about every band that breaks up ever is due to someone's ego getting in the way. I still don't care, and Bono does more philanthropic and humanitarian work than the vast majority of artists.12.21b -

I think this one turns out like one of those bad Rom-Com movies....You're a monster, simey.
Don't be so temperamental, Johnny. My point was yes people who would like to do three or four picks a day want to make their picks, but also we are listening to other folks songs and commenting on things we want to. We also see that when some songs are picked it generates more conversation. I like the chit chat. We also see that when no songs are being picked there can be long lags of time that go by. Being that you are usually on autoskip, you aren't here a lot and don't see how much time can go by with nothing be said. Evidentally you also don't see that these people do add commentary and such. It surely isn't anything to take personal. That comment by Simey really bugs me.I am only one drafter. There are 30+ of us. I make a point of commenting on a few picks every day and i am in this thread for at least an hour a day, but if we stick with 4 a day, i will make my picks, spend 2 minutes in the thread and #### off. I'm in the top half of posters commenting in this thread and the reason I'm on autoskip is a consideration one. If you want me to waste an hour for everyone of my picks when I'm not going to be here, then I'll do that if I choose to participate in future threads. I'm in this thread plenty comparatively, comment and listen to other songs.
