Did Antonio Bryant drop off the face of the earth? (1 Viewer)

I am a dynasty owner of Antonio Bryant and I expected that he would be picked up some time this season after being reinstated to the league. I have periodically checked the blogger, but haven't heard his name mentioned.

Has anybody heard anything? Any opinions at all? Anybody else holding him in dynasty?

Thanks for the assist.

He's fighting the NFL's right to test him for the hoochycanoochy.
He's done with the league. He won't go back. At least not now. He's pissed that even though he doesn't work for a team they keep testing him. He doesn't want to be tested. He's a nut job....

in the grande scheme of things, it is bizarre that they are allowed to test them even though he does not "work" for them anymore...could you imagine a former employer asking you to pee in a bottle "just in case"?

He has nothing to do with the league now. Why should they be allowed? If they wanted to test you, wouldnt you care? The NFL has no case. They are a FORMER employer...

He's probably hanging around some 7-11 buying beer for teenagers and looking to jump some elementary school kid to steal their candy.

I finally cut him in all of my leagues. It looks like he's done.

He burned bridges in Dallas, burned bridges in Cleveland, and burned bridges in San Francisco. The guy is trouble and everyone knows it by now. My guess is that there was some "behind the scenes" stuff with him that the public isn't privy to. That might explain why he's been treated like poison. If he were even remotely tolerable then you have to think someone like Minnesota, Cleveland, or Tennessee would've taken a chance on him.

That said, Mike Nolan said he thinks about Bryant at least once every week. And it's interesting to note that Bryant's numbers in SF were a lot better than what Darrell Jackson has been doing.

I remember (and I was one of them) how angry a lot of Steelers fans were when we drafted Randel El when Bryant was still on the board. :goodposting:

I believe that until he retires officially then he is still subject to union/league policies. If he wants to stay in the mix and catch on with a team somewhere then he has to stay in the same monitoring program he would as an active player.

Antonio Bryant filed a motion with a federal judge Friday to stop the NFL from disciplining him for allegedly violating the league's substance abuse policy again.

Looks like Travis Henry started a precedent. Bryant, currently a free agent, apparently failed to submit to a test during his suspension and failed another. Bryant's lawyer will argue that the league's policy doesn't apply to Bryant because he is not currently a player. Seems like a long shot.
