Ezekiel Elliott visits POT STORE (1 Viewer)

I admit that it wasn't the smartest thing to do but it's still pretty much a non-issue.
Maybe. Maybe not. So much hype around this guy. A good rookie season and he can probably line up some nice endorsement $ and lay some groundwork for wealth in retirement. RB has short shelf life to earn. In an age where the court of public opinion is huge, why do anything that would potentially cause companies to overlook him? It's about being smart enough to play the game not just the games. Know what I mean?

All I'm talking about is his fantasy production. I don't care about anything else.  This is why it's a non-issue for me right now.  If he actually gets in some real trouble that keeps him off the field then I will care.  Right now he just seems like a lot of upside.

I don't think the Cowboys are the only team, I just think they have more and take chances on more players.

Which player for Arizona are you talking about?
Sorry, it was Tunsil but Mathieu and Nkemdiche draft stock dropped because of the same reasons you me too Ed but the Cards took a chance anyway. All NFL teams take these chances every year some just handle their players better than others I guess.

Tex

Ignoring red flags isn't good.  If your wife started carrying condoms in her purse when she hadn't before, I bet you wouldn't ignore that red flag.  There's a real chance EE is a smoker and will test positive at some point.

I absolutely see where you're coming from. Ideally you rather Elliot didn't go into the dispensary. You would hope he would see it and think to himself that no good can come of him being there. No argument there.

Visting a pot store is not a big deal.  A LOT of people like visitng them just because hey, who's ever been in an actual store that sells pot and pot cookies and candies and soda and on and on?  There's a curiosity angle for people visiting the enilightened states in our country.  Really, this should fall under the category of no one's dang business, and should not be dignified with a response.  Do I think he smokes? I have no idea, but yeah sure, if forced to bet I would wager he smokes.  I would also wager that thus far, he has not been dumb enough to test positive that we know, so I assume he will continue to not be Josh Gordon levels of stupid.

The domestic violence investigation is not great, but he may be 100% innocent.  No charges filed, no video, no other women coming forward. Not great, but not necessarily anything at all. Right now, it's one person's word.

The report from Ed Werder that the Cowboys are unappy about a pattern of behavior might be nothing as well. Werder was short on details, so we don't really know what he was talking about.

The reports that he was a party boy in college are not a big deal. He still managed to dominate, everyone said her was a great guy, coaches loved him.

None of these area big deal.  So why, as a dynasty owner, am I nervous?

Exactly. Even if his motive was innocent enough, it was 100% unnecessary move where best case scenario was nothing negative would come of it.

We wouldn't know as the first offense isn't made public.  We could just as easily speculate that's why Jerry was upset - because maybe he has already failed a test.  But as far as we know he hasn't and I'm not about to drop him in any rankings.  Unless he starts spending off days in WA or CO its a non-issue.

OMG! My wife is having an affair with Ezekiel Elliott?!!!

Holy crap people. This is actually getting humorous. We're not talking about being a real GM and worrying about what he's doing, we're talking about fantasy football.

If him going into a store like this gets you stressed out then you need a new hobby.

Well, that can't be good.

...edited, just saw post about this in EE thread.....probably deserves own thread title anyway.  This could be a red flag going forward or he may have just been curious.
The Al Jazeera precedent should have him on the precipice of a meeting with the almighty commish. Josh Gordon should warn him about the risks of second hand smoke exposure.

Pot store video, Romo injury, pictures of his former girlfriend's bruises - and he still went 3rd overall in our 12 team, non PPR draft.  Was really hoping he fell to 5.  No dice.

I'd be happy with any of  Johnson, zeke or Miller at that spot…  I think they finish the fantasy season  as the top three in some order at running back
