**Fake Scarcity Mixtape Draft #1: Tuesday picks 12 & 4PM EDT (2 Viewers)

Now, since it is a category in this draft, there ARE actually songs that mention specific sports teams, right? Or is this a late April Fools joke from eephus? :oldunsure:
Just the nickname (singular or plural). You could take the easy way out and just pick a song with blue, brown or red in the lyrics. Or you could dig deeper and find a specific reference to a team. There are lots of rap songs that qualify.

I forgot who suggested the category but I thought it would be fun. It's really wide open because there are tons of potential nicknames when you open up colleges and international teams.

I'll open up the "songs with booze or drugs" category.

!.15 "Nothin' Better to Do" - LeAnn Rimes

I don't like her type of country music at all, but this isn't really country. Sounds like blues to me. And the video is good, too.

The liquor of choice is beer, which her buds steal from the cold cabinet while she "distracts" the store clerk.

Whoa, not used to this laid back drafting style. When did we get away from arguing over the minutiae of each category? Noted- just take any of Toby Keith's 300 songs that have the word Patriot in it..

I've always been much more of a rhythms and hooks guy than a melody guy. As such, the solo category was going to be tough for me... just never took too much interest beyond a certain skill-level at shredding solos. but this is one of my favorite tunes, which suits my repetitive/drone taste and I was stunned to learn long after the fact upon first seeing this video that the keyboard was done by hand and not through a sequencer/digitally. The song doesn't exist without that keyboard, and I love that it's pretty much one chord over and over- more percussion than anything else. I get carpal tunnel just watching the guy.

1. 17 All My Friends- LCD Soundsystem (song with an instrumental solo.)

oh- right... definitely put me on perma-skip. I'll be around, but sometimes I won't. and then... I'll be back again. and probably, not again.

We're in round one and half the folks are on auto skip already.
It is pretty standard for these drafts. First couple rounds to a lesser degree as people want to cover their weaker categories, but after that the categories are general enough or our tastes are different enough that sniping is less of an issue.

I don't think Hagmania has to worry about me sniping him too much.
I TOLD YOU
Simey on the other hand :scared:

Screw it,I'm taking my favorite song, the key solo is a lot more minimal than the one El Floppo took, but that's what you get with this band and where better to shoehorn in this song.

This is the song that made me realize there was so much more music than what was played on the radio and sparked my real love of music.

My wife got me a 160GB ipod a few years back with lyrics from this engraved in it.

Also, I was at a concert a year ago of maybe my favorite live band and they randomly started covering this song, unbelievable concert moment.

Anyway,
