When they played (and beat) UNC in their last game, they had to play their 4th string QB. He did well. The starter had a season ending injury against FSU, but I'm not sure what the injuries were for QB #2 and #3. @Just Win Baby might know.

I had never heard of that song either. The Fugazi song Waiting Room is new to me as well and it's also sitting top 10 in points. I've never heard of either of the bands before either. My listening habits are pretty narrow, it seems.

Yeah, I said early on that my list would probably be the "chalkiest" - I like a lot of older music and ones that are fairly popular with the masses. I've been amazed how many of these artists I've never heard of.

I’ve heard of Fugazi but never heard them. That song was new to me as well and is one of the big surprise likes for me based on what I thought the band was.

I watched Meet Me in the Bathroom this weekend. It's a recent documentary about the short-lived NYC music scene of the early 2000s. There was a segment about the recording of this song with The Rapture and James Murphy each giving their version of the story.

The era doesn't signify as much to me personally as it does for some of you younger folk, but It's a fine documentary that benefits greatly from the availability of cheap video cameras at the time.

. My favorite pick of this draft is @ditkaburgers AiC Man in the Box. Top 15 pick for me. My chaosburgers is also a young woman in her mid-20s and she hates it. Probably because her 60 yr old long haird dad makes horn hands and headbangs to it too often and it scares her cuz she thinks it's satanic (deny your maker). I think this is proof Eeph is a better dad than me, but then from all the Springsteen in the world he chose Brilliant Disguise so maybe not.

This pick surprised me the most of ditkaburgers 31. Her tastes in Rock (as in other genres) run heavily to the poppy and up tempo. I didn't expect her to pick a grungy sAIC ong recorded before she was born.

She is one of the few people her age who can say she went to a Nirvana concert. Mrs E was five months pregnant at the time so we sat up in the balcony but ditkaburgers gave her a few kicks during the show.

scorchy's Drive-By Truckers song is from the album with the supporting tour for which OH's band was an opening act. I didn't know him at the time. Every time the Drive-By Truckers come up, though, he talks about how much they drank. Great guys according to him, but always followed by "but damn could they drink." A fistfight involving the band broke out at one of the shows.

We saw the DBT's right at the end of this tour in Jan 2003. It would definitely rank in my top 31 shows.

The only thing I remember about the opening act is that the bass player wore a Slobberbone t-shirt.

Breathe made my list. Limiting myselt to one track per artist made PJ a problem. Not sure if this makes sense but Breathe is not my favorite PJ. But somehow for this potential playlist, Breathe is my favorite PJ. Also love the vid/version with Willie and his son doing it, top down, cruising around Maui. But Eddie kills it and it's my most listened to PJ of the past 5 years. A more honest list and easier project would have been going 3xs on 10 artists +1.

Speaking of both of "one-hit wonders" and Marquee Moon, if one of the last five lists that came in (already revealed as landrys hat's) hadn't named a different Television song, Marquee Moon would have won the "one-hit wonder" ranking in a landslide.

Just gonna repeat what I said about Fugazi in another thread:

If you don't really know Fugazi, that's mainly because that's what Fugazi wanted. No major labels (turned down a $10 million dollar deal from Atlantic); no corporate sponsorship (declined an invitation to Lollapalooza); no merchandising (thus the ubiquitous 'This is NOT a Fugazi Shirt' worn by punks the world over); only played all-ages shows (how I got to see them at a DC high school). I first heard Fugazi's self-titled debut EP in the summer of '88 while playing Earl Weaver Baseball on the computer with a skater friend of mine. He dubbed it for me later that day with The Meatmen's live record We're the Meatmen and You Still Suck... on the flip side (oof). It was one of the main soundtracks for our summer. I finally got to see them in 1990 before heading off to college. A group of us told our parents we were going to Baltimore for an Orioles game but instead hit DC for the show. I'm glad my parents weren't up when I got home because it would have been tough to explain how my clothes were still soaked after a 2-hour drive back. It was...intense. And something I would give almost anything to experience for the first time again.

Also, I may have linked it before, but this Cleveland School of Rock cover of Waiting Room gives me hope for the future.
