So when do we usually get the pre-MNF cutoff? I'm up to 146 with Colston, so I think I should slide through, but there were some huge numbers this week.
Last week the Turk reported the preliminary cutoff at 5:32 AM. Hard working, guy, that Turk! -QG

Should be my usual 140 - 150 pt. Just show'em enough to qualify.

Next week will be interesting with all my SD players out.

I picked Brees thinking he'd be my primary QB this season --- tonight his points will be used for the first time this season (Schaub used every other week).

At around 138 right now...

hopefully that should be enough for this week. Somehow, this ragtag beat-up squad just keeps on going.

I got a total of 7 points from my RBs this week. Thank you Drew Brees for showing up tonight.

241.35

+ Sinorice minus 8.6 (which is a fancy way of saying done)

Next week is nervous time: No LT2 or Foster so either Rhodes or Tony Hunt(!) will count toward my score :excited:

-QG

Edit to add, given the scoring this week, I don't even know if I'd be top 100.

I wouldn't be so sure.In around 170. Looks like my craptacular team will live for one more week. Barring a miracle though, I think this is the end of the road for me, as Tomlinson and Gates have literally dragged the rest of my deadweight roster this far.

Unofficial if-there-were-no-MNF cutoff: 113.05
Wow. That's exceptionally surprising to me. I thought that there was a significant number of owners with the triple threat of ADP, Housh, and Welker (over 100 pts amongst just those three) that would have pushed that number significantly higher.I'll bet a bunch of the folks with LT that were eliminated in the last two weeks are fuming now...

LT + ADP + Welker = Happy Camper. Unfortunately, my other 2 RB's are Deuce and Caddy, so ADP is all by himself next week. Time for some WR's to step up.

FFLM is working without a password this week. If anyone is using FFLM and wants the league file I will be happy to send it.
What's this?
FFLM is the scoring service that people have been using to track player scoring.
Can someone provide the link or code the scores in this week?
Ive got all the stats posted http://thefantasystar.com/fbg2007/all_stats.phpMy stats feed doesnt track negative yards, so some scores could be a little off.

Great, thanks.Just an fyi...Hagan is not on there. Looks like he caught 3 for 30yds.

probably offset by the huge bye week

144.5, Brees finally showed up this year.

I've got Horn tonight, either -6.5 as a WR or -9 as a flex. Glad I won't need him.

The Longwell/Bironas/Kasay $1 trio still going strong.

159.80 with Toomer left to go. He needs at least 4.20 point to be factored in. Either way, it looks like I can squeeze one more week out of this thing...

Willing to bet we stay right around 120 still, possibly even below 115. Outside of White I don't think there are enough popular players to move the pile much, and I don't see him lighting it up tonight.almost spent with 221.75 currently, with white and toomer yet to play, -15.0. Nice to be over 200 for the first time, but I wish I could have saved it for another week when it would count for something!

I am quite lucky to be alive in this contest (McAllister, Betts, Brees, etc.) I think the one things that saved me so far was avoiding the huge money players. Last year Larry Fitzgerald killed me. Houshmanzadeh is the only guy I spent big money on, and thankfully he is doing very well. Thanks to bargain players like Welker, Sammy Morris, Garrard, Demetrius Williams, I am alive.

Now if I can just make it to week 9, I get Chris Henry back from suspension :goodposting:

You sure got a point there. $40 on Rudi Johnson and he hasn't done squat. $33 on Andre Johnson - great for two weeks, but he'll be out til week 11 - on what was diagnosed as a 3-5 week injury. $20 on Brees, surely he was going to be the value play of the contest, he finally showed up. Nonetheless, I've always felt that if my squad can survive through weeks 4, 5, and 6 it could do some damage. Well, I've made it past week 6, let's see what happens from here.

Yeah. As for values, I think Witten was my best choice. Hard to believe that guys like Vernon Davis were being picked over Witten.

i am toast - worked hard to not get "bye week" blues in weeks 5/6, but my whole team just tanked this weekend.

So much for SAlex and RudiJ being by RB studs.

On the positive side, going Campbell/Garcia was a good cheap QB combo.

Yeah. As for values, I think Witten was my best choice. Hard to believe that guys like Vernon Davis were being picked over Witten.
Biggest values for me are easiliy ADP, Crayton, and Welker. ADP will very likely be on the winning roster. Having ADP + LT + Gates could be the key to the Championship.

I have ADP in my Dynasty league, and I really regret not taking a chance on him in this contest.

I have always subscribed to not paying big money on any one player, but I think big money in this game is the $60-$70 guy. No way am I dropping 1/3 of my cap on one guy. If he goes down I am done. I put $45 on Bush this year, which is easily my most expensive player, and I struggled with paying that much. Add him with AD and the two together are still cheaper than LT2, plus I have 2 decent chances to hit big in any given week. In normal fantasy leagues, where you must decide who is going to go off and when, its not very smart to pick a lot of "potential" players, but in this format you just need someone to post a number. By spreading your money across a pile of maybes, it always seems like someone steps up. So far my strategy of having decent quality at QB, RB, TE and D, while loading up on 11 marginal wr's has paid off well. Their consistency is horrid individually, but collectively they perform quite well. Week 8 seems to now be my tight point, as I have 5 byes to contend with that week. Fortunately, the only position with more than one missing slot is WR, and that is still only 2 of my lower expectation guys. Good luck to everyone still in this, hope to see you in the finals!

LT2 carried me all the way to the last cutdown. There's no way I wouldn't take him this year. The guys that have done me best have been the cheap receivers (particularly Welker and Northcutt) and Eric Johnson (which made up for my Heap blunder). Of course that ADP guy was a pretty good pick for me this year too :coffee:

Of the three players I spent the most money on (Brees, Maroney, and Houshmanzadeh) I only regret Maroney. Brees has struggled, obviously. But I think the consensus was that Brees would be a fantastic FF player. But with Maroney, I took a chance on a player that had never played a season as a starter. The only reason that choice didn't destroy me is I backed him up with Sammy Morris.

May we meet again in the finals QG! I think hitting the last round of this tourney is a pretty similar accomplishment to cashing in consecutive WSOP main events. Anyone can hit it once by being decent and getting suffuciently lucky, but even the best have a hard time doing it consistently!

wanted to clarify didn't cash. was I guess, on the bubble. I guess that'd be "Eliminated Week 12"

Hope to make it a little longer this time

Adrian Peterson (I actually have bof of dem), Braylon Edwards, Matt Stover (94 pts with those 3) should hopefully make up for some awful QB points. Not sure.

I thought I was done last week, but Crayton's late TD saved me.

This week, I'm at about 179.75 if the fanstar site points are accurate.

I only bought 4 RB and one is Brandon Jackson, so really only 3. ADP, Bush and Rudi. At least they've all had their bye.

At WR, I have 5 and 3 still have a bye week- and those are the 3 I use almost every week. Cotchery, Berrian, and Crayton. My other 2 -Bobby Wade and Santonio Holmes -will need to step it up when those guys have byes if I'm going to compete!

Still alive. This is the first year I've played, and I'm trying to plan for next year by seeing how it goes. I screwed up by spending big bucks on the SD/BAL D's. Not that they've scored bad, but just that I don't think they are worth the extra bucks. I think 2 kickers is too few, and doubt anyone making the finals will have less than 3. Taking a QB like Brady or Peyton seems to be a bright idea, because they offer the security (safe bets not to get injured) of going with only 2 QB's. You can get a middle-of-the-road QB to go along with them, because they are guys that never seem to put up a dud week. Also, get your bye weeks out of the way early.
