FBG subscriber content is blocked at work (1 Viewer)

This same thing happened to my with my league site on MFL, but I was able to get by using IP addresses. I've attempted to do the same thing with FBG, but I'm having difficulties. I can get to the main FBG site by using http://69.93.114.20 but if I try to go to the login page it goes to subscribers.footballguys.com which I'm guessing is on another server.

Anyone have some suggestions? I need to get my FFL fix every day!

Try with Firefox, change your proxy configuration (Tool - Option) to 195.175.37.71 port 8080

Hope it works.

I'm having the same problem, which is weird, because I had no difficulties accessing subscriber content at work last year.

Had the same problem and emailed Joe. He hooked me up with his tech guy and this is the email I received from him:

Yes, we do have a backdoor into the subscribers site using an address running off our main server:

http://www.draftsheets.com/cgi-bin/nph-proxy.cgi/

If you click on the link above, you will see a page where you can type in a URL. This page you enter will be downloaded by the server and retransmitted to your browser so any networking issues should be avoided. You can go to our homepage using the proxy and click on an article or just go straight to the subscriber content homepage here to access all the subscriber content.

http://subscribers.footballguys.com/2006/page2.php

The proxy header will always appear on the page when you are accessing it through the proxy so it should be easy to tell if you're going straight to the site or going through the proxy server.

This worked fine for me and was resolved in a matter of hours. That's one of the many reasons why I subscribe here year after year

I had just downloaded Firefox and was ready to try that when I saw this post. This method worked flawlessly! Now I'm ready for some :football:

Here's the way I did it. I emailed myself the addresses of football guy's and My fantasy leage . com to my personal email address. Then at work I went to yahoo and then to AOL anywhere. I then opened my email and clicked on the link. Worked like a champ for me. Good Luck

Get back to work, ya slacker!

I'm watching & one more time I find you here, you'll be outside lookin' in!

Signed

Your Boss

PS. good luck with your team. :football:

So much for Websense.....you're the tatas!

RDP into your home machine and surf anything from home and the bosses will be none the wiser. That and there is no record of what you surfed all day when you should be working. It's easy to do.....

How? Some of us are new to having our work nazi's block websites. please explain.

My problem is different since they changed the site, it comes up at work, but everything is a mess. I can't access the forums and can't login. AT home it works fine.

This worked for me three weeks ago. Now Websense has blocked it. What a pile of dog doo.Ideas?

One solution for reaching the forums from work is to use the RSS feeds from FBG. Create an iGoogle page and load the RSS tags in there. I can't get the regular site but this way I can get to the forums.

There is a thread on this in the Apps forum, I think.

For whatever reason, the forums have never been blocked. Just FBG.com.What sucks is that my parent company has a liberal internet use policy, but this field office runs through a server that runs Websense. (I have an office inside someone else's building).
