Draft scandanavian stuff? awesome synth stuff?JZilla said:Now that I've done a little prep..
These mandatory songs are awful, what a brutal set of rolls. Will have to pass up 3-4 great tracks for straight poo. Away In a Manger ,S?![]()
On the plus side, being this handcuffed, maybe I can keep it all spotify after all
More #####ing later. Guess I'll don my JML hat for this one. Better watch out, indeed.
O Holy Night is my fav. It can be drafted as a traditional/religious carol written before 1900. According to the rules we can pick one.Ramsay Hunt Experience said:I'm not big on traditional religious music (although Oh, Holy Night is a gorgeous melody).
At this rate it'll be Christmas before we're done.Who is up? I want to make my pick.
Apparently you can say **** Trickle. So I can say **** Trickle?
JZilla said:Looks like we could add Jingle Bells and Blue Christmas to the existing choices.
Silent Night and Away in a Manger are too dull so add Blue ChristmasJZilla said:Not really that big a deal, just hit home as I was arranging things, just how many I dig that I'll have to pass up. I'll still do a zip on the end, of things I like that aren't streaming.
I'd be cool with adding the fourth choice.. kinda up to those who've picked already. Speaking selfishly, these are not my faves.. and particularly Silent Night and White Christmas are about as dullsville as it gets, in all forms
Mmmmm ****
Jingle Bells and Blue Christmas finished fourth in their respective categories in the original dice rolls.Silent Night and Away in a Manger are too dull so add Blue Christmas![]()
Christmas is coming,Apparently you can say **** Trickle.
If you have a pick, go ahead and post. We'll move ilov80s down the draft order. It's not a going problem, it's a growing problem.
Any changes you want to make is fine with me.Jingle Bells and Blue Christmas finished fourth in their respective categories in the original dice rolls.
Jingle Bells would provide an up tempo option for the traditional carols and I think it would open up the category. I love Blue Christmas but it's one of those songs with one definitive version.
On my verry merry short listWhite Christmas - Clyde McPhatter & The Drifters
One of the dogs is named #####. Who knew?Well I don't know if this will count as one of the mandatory carols, if not I'll probably use it for Novelty or anything really, it's that transcendent
This is the OG - I know the rest of you will be clamoring for the other "Dogs Singing" choices out there but they're nothing, total nobodys, they're fat and they have gd cats with them too. Also this has a hot ### guitar solo.

It's what I said first, there just hadn't been a definitive call on Jingle Bells carol status yetjk. don't care
Very nice.Love a lot of Xmas instrumentals, but I've got only one gotta-have:
1.09: "Christmas Eve (Sarajevo 12/24)" - Savatage
Just to clarify rules on instrumentals.Love a lot of Xmas instrumentals, but I've got only one gotta-have:

I only learned very recently that Darlene Love was Danny Glover's wife in the Lethal Weapon movies. Was that common knowledge?1.10---eephus---Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)---Darlene Love---Pop Standard (1900-1963)
I always try to skim through the new releases and may have missed a few but this is the best of a weak crop of 2016 holiday albums.
