For those that voted for Obama - how do you feel (2 Viewers)

If it wasn't for the stimulus and Obamacare, I probably wouldn't have that much to complain about with Obama. He basically hasn't done much and that's exactly what I thought we needed coming out of the financial collapse. I did think we needed someone like Romney in 2012 to start moving forward and get the economy going but it's on Obama now. If this slow recovery continues, he should get the credit he deserves. If we fall back into another recession, he should get the criticism he'll likely get for his lack of action.
The stimulus was the coup de grat. That is what inevitably will crush us. Iceland was in a similar predicament. They didn't bail out their bankers. They put them behind bars. Turned out well for them. Everything I am saying is less opinion and mostly fact. And myself and a handful of others have been saying it since the serpent first crawled out of that hole in the ground in Illinois. Seemingly most improbable victory ever but the stage has been being put together for nearly 30 years. At this point its David and Goliath and Goliath has put on a lot of weight.

I am a republican and voted Obama twice and would do it again knowing what I know. You can't keep giving me POS presidential candidates and expect me to vote for them. In 2008, do nothing was the answer for republican's in 2012 it is was let's go back to 2008. Get some new blood with good ideas then maybe I vote that way. When you want to keep a crappy situation crappy, you lose me.

I tried to warn you all. Over and over I would post about this loser.

Just say "Finless, you and Clifton and Jambi and Jim11 tried to warn us and we didn't ever take you seriously. You were right but what's more important is just how WRONG most of us were."

I'll never forget that night he was voted in. The celebration in the streets. All those young "free thinkers" and liberals, college kids, liberals, older nerdy "we been waiting for this since Kennedy was shot" types all together rallying, partying, crying all in celebration of the serpent. I knew that was one of the worst days our country had ever seen.

May not seem like it now, but wait. And when I make claims about what's going to happen, my track record is pretty spot on. Most interesting time to be alive buy things are going to get very colorful. Start buying hard silver. Having a certificate stating you own gold will be as worthless as the paper its printed on. We're entering end times.
To be fair, most of us just saw it as an easy opportunity to get laid.
You couldn't get laid in wimmen's prison with a fist full of pardons.

You do know that Iceland has the population of Wyoming? Not sure that "no-bailout" would have worked.

I voted for him in 2008. He was saying some good things against our warmongering and continual erosion of rights so I figured I'd give him a chance. And he's flopped on everything I cared about. It's not like I would have voted for McCain in hindsight though.

Voted for him and no regrets. Wish we had a Congress that would work for their checks, but hey when dealing with the TeaParty/Republicans where they would rather the country suffer than actually trying to reach a common ground with the President.

But I am sure you dont hear about how bad this Congress is on Fox News do you Fin??

As suspected not a lot of backed up Obama support here. I say the same things to my Obama supporting friends which I have been distancing myself from for years. Most seem to have brain damage. I post on Facebook and the twitters from time to time. Results are in folks.

You were wrong.

What about the job that the Dem controlled Senate has done?

Voted for him in '08 by default because the other ticket was laughable. Hopefully it will be the last time I vote democrat. Planned to vote third party in '12, switched to Obama because my wife offered to blow me.

Hard to get anything push through when you have a party that ran on refusing to work with the President. But yes it does take both.

It's a good thing he had both for his first 2 years then, right?

:goodposting:

In 2007 Biden was quoted as saying, ad libbing of course, "if we go to war without congressional approval I will move for impeachment". Rich.

Don't you remember? Everything was Bush's fault in his first two years.

Duped. I will never vote Democrat or Republican again. Two heads of the same beast. When you look at how he put the Goldman Sachs guys, the same guys responsible for a big part of our financial mess, in charge of the Treasury. When you look at how he put an ex Monsanto employee in charge of the FDA. I really am disappointed all the way around. It's like the plan was to just give out health care to distract from the fact that it was business as usual. Instead of 'Let them eat cake', it's 'Let them eat prescription medication'. The game was set up, look at who the Republicans trotted out there, morons, I know there are smarter, less crazy people in the Republican Party somewhere. Having a black president is beneficial to the puppet masters, it employs the same strategy as Rothschild employed when he started the Jewish Defense League. If you speak against the plan you are labeled a racist or an anti Semite. I can't believe it still works. Oh hey look Miley Cyrus.

I dunno. I'm pretty good with the ladies.

THIS IS NOT ABOUT "I wouldn't have voted for McCain or Romney in retrospect". It's about years of posting about pipe dreams and bull#### and believing it to your core. Talking about impactful dramatic change. We're worse off then ever. I hate Bush but he at least wore it on his sleave. You knew what you were getting. Obama is a serpent, a chameleon and he fooled his people. Seriously how is it working out for the poor? "well we got an Obama phone :sherg: and we still got snap" You know what you got? crumbs...which sadly enough has historically been enough to keep the impoverished uneducated masses in line. One of the oldest satiating maneuvers in the book. "Give'm a taste. Just enough to keep them where they are at hoping more will come". It's a great way to keep the unhappy and unmotivated right where they are..Satisfy them a bit then put the pacifier in their mouth like a two year old.

I haven't seen one legitimate pro Obama post in here. Don't debate it. You will get crushed. And I will crush you, not because I'm smarter, which I probably am, but because its nearly impossible for anyone pro Obama to effectively debate his side.

I admit I was wrong every day. There's a lot of freedom in those words.

Our treasury has been half ex-Goldman Sachs guys long before Obama. They run the damn place.

Edit: Reread your post. Yes I agree. To hire more Sachs guys after the crash is moronic.

That's a good indicator for all of us in the future though isn't it? If the next President does the same, then we're only changing the outside appearance of the guy playing the part of President. I just thought it was going to be different this time, that's all. I really wanted to believe that we could turn this Country around.

I'm on the record here as both a Bush hater and a Fox news hater as well as a Rush hater and a Hannity hater. I'm not even conservative. I NEVER watch Fox news. If what I am saying mirrors what they broadcast its because they're right.

So was I wrong about Biden's quote? does the fact that Fox may have brought it up somehow change the fact that he said it? I see the defense mechanisms of the ignorant hasn't changed at all. Bush - Fox - Bush - GOP - Bush - Fox. At least I have brought talking points and facts to the table.

Debate me in a thread discussing Obama's success and get crushed. That's right I will crush you and make you look foolish.

:lmao: who are you? I'm out of the loop.

I consider him to be the best president of my lifetime. I'm a liberal born during the Nixon administration so my only realistic choices are Carter, Clinton and Obama.
I would take Clinton over Obama easily. Carter was obviously a complete failure and Obama is not that much better domestically.
Clinton spent eight years in office doing pretty much nothing. If you're a liberal, the ACA puts Obama a tier or two above Clinton all by itself.
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Nothing but the longest economic expansion in U.S. history, peacetime operations, lowest unemployment in 25 years, Medicare and Family Act, NAFTA, Nuclear non-proliferation, deadbeat parent act, and three strikes laws among other things.

Your credibility is waning IK. In my lifetime there have been two effective and efficient presidents, Clinton and Reagan. The rest are historical fodder.

I'm disappointed in Obama but I think it is the republicans that keep getting duped by their own party. Had McClain not selected Palin in 2008 they probably would have defeated Obama in his first election and had they put up a decent candidate in 2012 they would have trounced Obama in his second.

As long as the republicans harp on issues like guns, abortion and the "sanctity of marriage" and keep trodding out loser candidates they have no one to blame but themselves.

So there, it is YOUR fault we got stuck with Obama for a second term. Thanks a lot...

I'll skip over the fact that no, he didn't have both for his first 2 years. Factual inaccuracies aside, yeah, far more good #### got done his first 2 years before the Republicans took the House. Look at the reversal of GDP growth, the most important health care bill in 50 years, etc.

I'm convinced the whole Republican flame points are orchestrated for a reason. People cannot be that politically stupid. I don't know what the end game is but taking a step back it all looks orchestrated.

I think there was roughly a zero percent chance McCain was going to win the second the bottom fell out of the economy. Palin and his transparent ploy of suspending his campaign because of the crisis might have made it marginally worse, but he was losing either way.

Republicans probably should have won in 2012 though, given the economic conditions.

I'm open to anything. I support gay marriage, gun rights, I think abortion sucks but go ahead and have one. I support minding our own business..I also support transparency which was one of Obama's platforms. What a bull ####ter. I grew up liberal in MA. I have used psychedelics and other harder drugs in the past for 1/3 of my life. I spent years at Grateful Dead and Phish shows sporting dreadlocks, dancing and banging hot little trustafarian hippie girls. I'm not some seething neo-con. I'm a freethinkers who is fed up with the two party system, the machine, that there is no difference between Bush or Obama...or Romney, McCAIN or Hilary. I hate to see people fired up like something is going to change. The system needs to be overhauled before anything will change. Paul was/is the only guy with a voice who had any shot and he was blackballed by Fox and the rest of the media. And I don't think I can get behind Rand because he's outwardly a YEC dinosaur saddler.

Seriously, Godsbrother. Please keep your over the top rhetoric out of the nuanced, intelligent, insightful political discourse otherwise found in this thread.

All good things except for NAFTA and the deregulation of Wall St.
No argument of the Wall St stuff, he handled that like a Republican would have.

NAFTA was a great success until we started operating in a trade deficit. A lot of that has to do with industry moving to Mexico but that was inevitable, and we'd rather benefit Mexico than we would overseas industrial complexes IMO. It is the largest trade pact in the world, was a bi-partisan effort, and since its inception all countries involved have received a real economic benefit. Probably not as great as expected and Canada in particular probably has taken some lumps, but overall NAFTA has worked.

Clinton and Reagan got a lot down because of one reason: they could work across the isle and compromise. Imagine that?????????

I'm poor right now. Typing on a 2 year old HTC, genius. Debate me and get crushed. It's on open invitation. No joke. Where is the legitimate defense of Obama. It's no different than Bush - terrorists, WMDs, terror, 911 - Bush, FOX, uncooperative congress. I agree with most everything. NAFTA was great for us in terms of private corporations but it is the major contributor to why we have had such a huge influx of immigrants from the south. Not that I mind, I say legalize them all and make them start contributing to the coffers. However the expense to our State and local agencies for health care, public schools etc. at least in California has been enormous.

I would take Clinton over Obama easily. Carter was obviously a complete failure and Obama is not that much better domestically.
Clinton spent eight years in office doing pretty much nothing. If you're a liberal, the ACA puts Obama a tier or two above Clinton all by itself.
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:Nothing but the longest economic expansion in U.S. history, peacetime operations, lowest unemployment in 25 years, Medicare and Family Act, NAFTA, Nuclear non-proliferation, deadbeat parent act, and three strikes laws among other things.

Your credibility is waning IK. In my lifetime there have been two effective and efficient presidents, Clinton and Reagan. The rest are historical fodder.
Clinton was in the right place at the right time but still deserves all the credit for his watch

As suspected not a lot of backed up Obama support here. I say the same things to my Obama supporting friends which I have been distancing myself from for years. Most seem to have brain damage. I post on Facebook and the twitters from time to time. Results are in folks.

You were wrong.
I think your mother was wrong however many years ago you were conceived.
Typical ignorant post. Where are your convictions? Chicken wing recipes and Miller 64? ####in rube...
he's more of a hayseed than a rube
