Indirectly (or maybe just directly -- you decide), a loss like this in the regular season is a significant reason why Flacco is tied for the most road playoff wins.
Losses in supposedly should win games like these are what makes your team a wild card. Hence, no home games in the playoffs.

Trust me, I know I'm right. I watch this crap week after week after week. The only person in the NFL who can shut down Ray Rice is Cam Cameron. It feels like the guy is a threat to break a long one every time he touches the ball. This game is Exhibit A for the argument that the NFL, despite vastly superior athleticism and modern technological advancements in uniforms, pads, turf, etc., is an inferior product to what was displayed in the 1970s and 1980s.
Is it the lack of continuity among team personnel, specifically on the offensive line?
Is the talent too diluted?
Are teams too specialized with a dozen or more offensive and defensive packages per team?
Is it the near complete absence of tackling from practices?
Specific to this year, is it the lockout?
Has the game gotten too complex for all but a handful of teams with "genius" gifted quarterbacks (the usual suspects)?
Whatever it is, there seem to be far more of these craptastic messterpieces and worst of all, they seem to be stacking them up in primetime.
