Game Thread - Wildcard - Pittsburgh V Cincinnati (1 Viewer)

I'm pretty sure Palmer always wears the knee brace on his left (forward) leg like Manning for exactly this reason. Probably helped keep it from being worse than it would have been.

Also, Houshmandzadeh is going to get punk'd if he doesn't shut up and play. I doubt any of those players and fans forget him shining his cleats with the yellow towel. He's the opposite of Chad Johnson. Where Johnson is funny, Houshmanzadeh just seems like a punk.

J
Joe, Housh and CJ are both from the old Erickson Beaver's "Thug N Gun." CJ's just more charming in his thug'n. It's the grill.

 Come on Joe, trash is part of being a pro.

 You're right, the scuffle involving Houshmanzadeh had nothing to do with the two Steelers DB's.

Oh I know Dr. P. It's just that Johnson can do it and it's funny. Houshmandzadeh does it and he gets so mad he loses his focus. J

I think that was extremely questionable at best...

I mean even if he does get blocked into him, it just seems that there was wrenching that certainly was bush league.
With all the comments here I had to back up and watch it again. He was falling and hit him, really only reaching to grab his leg. His shoulder hit him at an odd ankle as Palmer was following through. Unfortunate injury - but I saw nothing dirty.
And judging by his reaction afterwards (being a former Bengal) it sure didn't look like he meant to do it.

You can tell by the lineman's reaction that he didn't do it on purpose and it wasn't a dirty hit.
Puh-lease. The reaction was because that fat slug thought there was a wienerschnitzle behind Palmer's knee. But realized there was not one. That's what that "darn" reaction was for.

For sure. No way was that a dirty hit on Palmer. J
A true competitor never likes to see anything like that happen. He knew it was just a weird play and felt bad about it. Plus it was Carson Palmer. If it would have been Mike McMahon for instance, the offense would have received a 15 yard celebration penalty.

Not only that but he (1) knew he was hurt and (2) he felt bad it was his hit.

I don't like Houshman's nappy hair.

PS, cheers to Zilla and Joe.

GO BENGALS.

I just polished off the rest of the Jack Daniels that Noodlefish brought me from Duty Free. In hindsight, I probably should have moderated a little.
I got Vashon Old Stock. Growler is $5 refill for 1/2 gallon. BURP.
You're pretty fancy. Have you met my Uncle Melly?
I'm waiting for my rolex in the mail.

Was kind of hoping to see some new blood in the playoffs this year, but NE/Pitt/Indy/Denver = same old same old
 at everyone giving this game to the Steelers. Kitna is a good qb and would probably supplant half the starters in this league if he were traded.

While I wouldn't say it was dirty. I do not think he was blocked into him. I watched the TIVOed replay many times. The German was blocked to the ground and he kept moving towards Plamer. Very unfortunate. Kitna is auditioning for Matt Millen.

I hate to see Palmer & Henry injured. I'm not a fan of either team, but as a football fan, I want to see the best players on the field. Tough breaks for CIN.

The Bengals do seem to still have a 3-0 lead.

people forgot kitna was good before palmer came along. actually I think most any QB who can throw an accurate pass would be good in this offense
