I don't have anything in my one handed or two handed. At level 40-something my one handed might be at around 25. Stealth, archery and destruction magic have been more than sufficient to get me through and I never do dungeons with companions. When things have gotten hairy, I've used conjuration (or Sanguine Rose) if I need to divert attention off myself. Now, if you're saying that you need a Plan B to Archery, then I would agree but it doesn't have to be one handed or two handed. Destruction or Conjuration can also do the job.i think you gotta choose a hand combat tree for close encounters, at least get the first couple of levels of your favorite weapon type. two hand is way more powerful but less block, 1 hand has dual wield, shields, and can cast magic. I also improved my smithing early by making iron daggers until I was up to 100. 100 Smithing lets you make the best weapons and armors which help alot. Try to improve your sneak, sneak + bow is a good combo, sneak everywhere, when you going shopping, mowing the lawn, etc. Basically just keep playing, haha, if you cant kill something, come back for it later when you've built up. In the beginning, If I was on my own I ran from dragons to the nearest town so I could get help.I dont have too much magic but did make sure to get restoration. What are some strategies you guys are employing? What types of weapons? How much magic should I mix in?

Level 20 with numerous shouts and I had no clue.
that's my approach. Have to imagine you get more exp for a bigger enchantment as well.I'm sure Greg has that formula memorized or saved in an ini file or something.
I should take a pic. He's pretty badass looking.
