I will drop in and watch some - good luck everyone!
these rolls are killing me. Another interesting 4someVery. But this concept is also super cool. It forces the music nerds here to stretch outside of our comfort zone. I like it a lotthese rolls are killing me. Another interesting 4some
Like it. Not a Jam Band guy either. Shoot Zeppelin is my favorite band of all time but I want no part of watching a 27 minute version of "Moby D1ck". I mean, a classic and all, but the book was the most boring "classic" ever that our AP English tried to punish us with if we didn't pick up on some underlying homosexuality theme (again nttawwt). I don't need a 26 mins jam about a 2.6 week long read of a book. #### off jam bands, right in the ear.2.08 - Chubb Sub - Medeski, Martin and Wood (Jam On)
I've never been big on jam bands and a global pandemic isn't the time to go to a festival and change my opinion. But I've always liked these guys and they've toured on the jam band circuit. No idea if the get played on the Sirius channel IRL but they will here.
My God man. Thank you so much. I just wasted my afternoon on this. I have the entire Soul Train on box set DVD. I need this in my life.zamboni said:Happy watching/listening: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL3ylOx8mWyAyRCQQQPUR3Zt0zNpdcbPzK
I haven't had Sirius in a few years but those guys were more likely to be played on the Jam On Channel than Jerry, the Band or Peter Frampton - not criticizing those picks because they fit the genre but I believe the Jam On station plays more 90s-2000s jam bands like Phish, String Cheese Incident and Widespread Panic than classic rock acts.2.08 - Chubb Sub - Medeski, Martin and Wood (Jam On)

No you're 100 percent right. I stretched on my pick purposely. I have had Sirius since Stern went there (05?). My pick of Frampton has no place on the channel even if it does "jam on". I am listening and appreciating the selections from the guys and gals who dig the genre to help learn.I haven't had Sirius in a few years but those guys were more likely to be played on the Jam On Channel than Jerry, the Band or Peter Frampton - not criticizing those picks because they fit the genre but I believe the Jam On station plays more 90s-2000s jam bands like Phish, String Cheese Incident and Widespread Panic than classic rock acts.
I had Sirius for 3-4 years but even though it was so cheap, I cancelled it because I'd rather listen to Spotify and control what I hear. I was very big into the Jam Band scene in the 90s but honestly didn't listen to Jam On much even when I had Sirius. No you're 100 percent right. I stretched on my pick purposely. Sadly, due to being out of work because of covid, I'm canceling mine. Everytime I try they keep giving me 6 months freeI had Sirius for 3-4 years but even though it was so cheap, I cancelled it because I'd rather listen to Spotify and control what I hear. but I already cancelled cable TV and the only monthly sub I feel is worthwhile is Spotify. Spotify is amazing for music people. Take your TV shows, give me my music unlimited for 10 bucks a month. I may have missed when you got the new dog (RIP Bailey) but congrats. My dog caught a fly and was so traumatized by the experience that he's been hiding under a blanket for the past half hour.
Agree with this.I may have missed when you got the new dog (RIP Bailey) but congrats.
I could watch hours of those Soul Train line dances. My God man. Thank you so much. I just wasted my afternoon on this. I have the entire Soul Train on box set DVD. I need this in my life.

Eta: I have about 40 Playlist all with hundreds of songs.
It seems the 70s were full of musical shows. Soul Train, Solid Gold, American Bandstand, The Midnight Special, Dance Fever, Rock Concert, whatever I am forgetting, and the tons of variety shows.I could watch hours of those Soul Train line dances.
It was the peak of Pop monoculture. For better or worse, there are a lot more choices today including the SoulCycle station. It seems the 70s were full of musical shows. What name did you go with?My dog caught a fly and was so traumatized by the experience that he's been hiding under a blanket for the past half hour.
The Gong ShowIt seems the 70s were full of musical shows. Soul Train, Solid Gold, American Bandstand, The Midnight Special, Dance Fever, Rock Concert, whatever I am forgetting, and the tons of variety shows.
That show was crazy. Chuck Barris was the perfect host for it.The Gong Show![]()
My poor dead black dog was named Bosley but he was mostly deaf by the end so Bailey would work too.I may have missed when you got the new dog (RIP Bailey) but congrats.
I remember when a guy from my High School was on the Gong Show--he had graduated the year before and moved to LA to pursue a show biz career. My teacher brought a TV into the classroom so we could watch Charlie perform. His schtick was singing "Luck Be a Lady" while barefoot but he didn't even make it to the chorus before getting gonged by Jaye P. Morgan. That show was crazy. Obviously you are right, sorry. I met two Baileys (dogs) this past week.My poor dead black dog was named Bosley but he was mostly deaf by the end so Bailey would work too.
So you can fit a SoulCycle workout in while on the clock. We'll go one hour clock starting tomorrow.

Did he think what he was doing was actually good, or was he trying to get gonged (as some acts did)?I remember when a guy from my High School was on the Gong Show--he had graduated the year before and moved to LA to pursue a show biz career. Talk about a right place, right time guy with Deney Terrio. Followed by another right place, right time guy in Adrian Zmed.It seems the 70s were full of musical shows. Soul Train, Solid Gold, American Bandstand, The Midnight Special, Dance Fever, Rock Concert, whatever I am forgetting, and the tons of variety shows.
Don't know about his intent but he deserved the gong.Did he think what he was doing was actually good, or was he trying to get gonged (as some acts did)?
You're kind of thinking like me here. I don't have much for the Jam On station, but if I had to pick something ... I'd probably tap a live track from one of my classic rock faves. One where the band really stretched their legs and went a little "jammy". Zeppelin, of course, has plenty of those on vinyl. Not a Jam Band guy either. Shoot Zeppelin is my favorite band of all time but I want no part of watching a 27 minute version of "Moby D1ck".
