Getcha passports ready - the middle-aged dummies are going to the British Isles! Top 31 song countdown. (2 Viewers)

Mr. Noone, you've got a lovely smile.
Just like Charlie Watts ... I don't think I have good mental picture of a lot of these Brit musicians when they were young. Peter Noone, in my mind's eye, looks like the guy pitching nostalgia albums on late-night infomercials. Or maybe from when he was guest-hosting Solid Gold in the 80s (or did I hallucinate that?).

I don't remember Peter guest hosting, although could have been here.

OH’s description of Crass was informative. Like Rockaction, I mainly knew about this band as insignia. I’m also very familiar with one song, not the song that OH chose. I won’t name it in case that’s spotlighting (though it would honestly surprise me if another Crass song gets selected.) But it was part of a British punk rock compilation that a friend of mine played a lot.

I think I need to get a new one. I'm not happy that Thom's sign isn't legible.
It is a bit creepy.
@zamboni - I don't think this one is any less creepy. I can't get around them being some odd looking dudes.

Well, except for Ed.
Guess my pun didn't resonate :kicksrock:
 No, 100% it didn't register this am.

Well, regardless I like this version better. At least we get all the gang in there.

2-pt favorites. I will never not select a Beatles song in my list of favorites - sue me.

Well, I went through all the Radiohead albums yesterday, and I have some hard cuts to start making. Initial gut reaction adds to my playlist had 47 songs just from the albums. No surprise that 3 albums dominated the playlist with 8, 7, and 6 songs from each taken. The biggest surprise for me was the 4th album that also got 6 songs added. :oldunsure: The other 5 all had 4 adds from each.

Now I am going through the B-sides once again, then it's time to hit random on the playlist several times and see which songs don't stack up and attempt to cut 20 or so songs.

Technically their 1st 2 albums were eligible to us but that still would disqualify this (and all of their big hits)
I tried to steer my guys towards the more stringent rules we apply here - but they were not going for it. They were more into the "spirit" of being British - although we're up to #14 in our exercise and I think there's only been 2 songs selected that would not be allowed here - and one of them can get in under a technicality (which I'll address when we get to it).

Fairytale Of New York - The Pogues (feat. Kirsty MacColl)

Zombie is my favorite from 3-pointers - love that song.

I expected to see a variety of Mumford songs but The Wolf wasn't one I expected - great song, probably not in my top-5 for them but I enjoy it a lot.

Didn't post about my pick yesterday. Atomic Rooster is one of the bands I stumbled upon probably from digging deeper for drafts in here, but also because I was on a huge 70s rock kick about a decade ago as I got more into The Who, Stones, and Pink Floyd and kept looking for more and more stuff. There are a couple other artists coming up that are on my list of 31 for this reason as well. I had several others on my initial list, but I just like their sound on this album better than anything else on that ended up getting cut. I think I posted it elsewhere, but this is one that also kept growing on me even more as I relistened to my list and if I resubmitted the same set of songs, it woudl probably be 10+ slots higher.

I see @scorchy dug it, so let's see if my 4 for 4 prediction comes true today with my selection. Today I am going back to my Middle School years.
