Quick word on my selection of Black Dog. That riff man!! First time I heard this song I must've been 8 or 9 maybe, I can't remember. My dad used to record his albums on cassette tapes for ease of listening... I used to love to go thru em and put on the phones.....he didn't trust me with his vinyl just yet!.I found Led Zeppelin 4 and put it in the tape player, put the phones on, and Black Dog hit my ears. I rewound it and played it over, and over. The riff, the lyrics.....is there a more perfect just straight up rock song?

Is Usagi Yojimbo available? Stan Sakai's site has all the details. It's one of the most beautifully drawn comics. The original artwork section is wonderful.

What people think are the "obvious" choices definitely vary a lot across our 45 drafters. I remember at the beginning that shuke insisted that there was a Big 4 that everyone should have, and his Big 4 added an artist - Pink Floyd - that you don't have on your list of six must-haves.

- In addition to the Big Three, there are six additional artists that have been listed four times each. One of those was, IIRC, not listed in the guesses for top choices. This artist is currently at #5 and has three votes for the same song, which is currently the second-ranked song in the countdown.

@AAABatteries , as someone mentioned, Pink Floyd has very fervent fans. See the three parts I've put in red above. I'm not saying they'll overtake The Who (or that they won't), but as they said you might see a lot more of their songs in the upper reaches than you would for The Who, whom most everyone likes but maybe aren't as wacko about.

These are my favorites of the lot. I'm at a point now where I'll have to list some repeats or there'd only 1-2 songs to highlight.

Of those that I didn't recognize by title my favorites were the Massive Attack and Faces songs.

I consider Floyd more of an album band than a song band. They certainly had a few songs that were classic rock staples but imo much of their stuff works best in the context of the full album.

Agree and to be clear the reason I pointed out so far is because I do expect Floyd and Radiohead to make a run. And to be further clear - I have The Who in my list and not those other two so it's not that I dislike them - I'm just surprised based solely on years of posts from folks at FBGs about the 3 bands.

Agreed, in fact I want a list of drafters who didn't put the big 3 + The Who, Bowie and Elton on their list. So they can go on my own "special" list.

Not sure I can explain. To me, he sounds like a guy trying to be more "raw" than he really is. He has a good voice, but it doesn't always sound very good.

I don't have any idea what Andy is thinking, but - to me - The Beatles were at least as diverse in a much shorter period of time. I'm sure some here would include The Kinks, too. Nothing against Bowie, but his "musical chameleon" title gets overblown IMO.
